Morning all. Been a while since I said hello. Not much happening with me, more packing boxes for moving our house (now early may) and packing up OHs mums place, so don't seem to have a break over the weekends at the mo!

Aw no ladies i'v just stood on the scales.. A stone on since my 12wk booking appt 8 weeks ago!!! I want to crawl into a corner and hide until I reach term oh man I knew I was big but I seriously need to get help with this PGP and get moving!! What a downer for my Sunday night right before dinner too... Xx

Oh hun- please don't worry! Baby is growing loads right now so its mostly down to that! U never know how much is fluid retention either! .....Its so hard when u can't exercise but please don't panic! From your last pic u look great- all bump! I know how hard it is but u have to kindof go with it and trust that u can and will lose it afterwards! *hugs* xxx

Thanks mum2b.. Just feeling very bluh, I definitely feel it in my legs arms and face.. Sure I'll get used to it and am not the first person to put weight on in pregnancy but that was a bit of a shocker!! Xx

Yes lovely thanks, France for the weekend then Dorset and Hampshire for a week, lovely not to be at work and to chill and catch up with family and friends! Have tomorrow off as well so great not to be back at work straightaway! How are you feeling?

That's nice! Always good to have a break!....... I'm feeling huge and useless!! Don't know y just feeling pretty low this weekend......lots of different reasons I guess!..... Got our follow up anomaly scan tomorrow- not til 3.15......gonna b a long day!! X

Hey mum2be sorry ur feeling low. I feel like that most days I cry for no reason then I'm sick and then I feel sorry for myself all over again! So I do understand how ur feeling. I have also got my follow up on Friday and I'm really nervous too. Even tho they have seen everything apart from the spine u always think what if don't u? Lots of hugs xx

Thanks girls.......keeptrying- yes, they said we'd prob b in and out in 2 seconds coz they will see it and it will be fine, but I am a worrier and just can't shake the feeling it won't b straight forward and even if they check the heart they will find something else wrong :-/ Silly I know!..... Morning! How is everyone his fine wet Monday?

I have a consultant appointment later, I'm assuming for my high bmi. No one has told me what to expect tho, any ideas?

Hi Inkfairy, I also see the consultant due to a problem with my pancreas, diabetes and high BMI. How far along are you? Usually they just ask me questions, talk about what will happen going on, they have prescribed aspirin since week 16 and I now will have growth scans every 4 weeks till 36 weeks, I think that is mostly because of the diabetes as my sister had the same. They take measurements from now on in as well I think but they haven't done that yet, next appt is this Friday. They also listen to the heartbeat

Hi donnah. Thanks for the reply. I am 21 +4 by nhs or 22 weeks by private scan. Over half way now!

I have a glucose test on May 15th to test for diabetes (gestational???).

Has the midwife just referred you? They referred me at my 8 week appt, did they say why you were being referred? I have diabetes anyway, it is good that they are testing you. When is your appt? Good luck with it, it will be fine

I was told at my 12 week scan I would probably be meeting someone after 20 weeks because I have a high bmi. I went for my 20 week scan last week and they have me an actual appointment for today at 3.45.

I think the diabetes thing is again because of my weight as oppose to anything else as all measurements for bubs and my general health has been ok. So it is just a precautionary thing? I dunno. Seems ages to wait for the diabetes test. It's four or five weeks away..

Yes it is strange to leave it that long as if you do have gestational diabetes you need to be on insulin now really. Do you know anyone who is diabetic and has blood or urine testing strips, if so you could test yourself and if not in the normal range book appt with GP asap? Hopefully you will not have GD but best to know. They have made an appt for me to see anesthetist in June as well, due to BMI, I guess in-case I need c section or epidural. I had major surgery in 2008 and had an epidural in for 5 days and didn't see anyone before they did it but best to be on the safe side I guess!
