******August 2014 mummies******

Mum2be, makes it cheaper having another the same! Although it would have been nice to have one of each, I feel like our little girls will have a stronger bond as sisters rather than brother & sister, just going off mine and friends/family experiences, so super pleased :)

Purple socks how old is your daughter? We took our 3 year old with us she was SO excited to see her baby brother or sister on the tele! And then to find out it was in fact a sister, she was over the moon ha! Hope your experience is as lovely as ours :)

She is 4 and we said the same thing about seeing the baby in the telly at the hospital. Actually I don't know who is more excited me or her. Hopefully we will fi d out the gender as she is desperate for a sister.

I have had 3 scans by 3 different sonogropher a saying it is a girl so quite confident it is and I had a look to confirm it too and saw the 3 lines :) congrats mikid on baby girl and welcome to team pink ;) although I have to say that I have a boy and a girl and their bond is super strong to the point the school has commented they have never seen a stronger sibling bond like our 2 children.

Lottielou so glad work went ok :)

I don't have a cat but would love to get extra presents lol

Watching OBEM, poor wee baby :( hope he defies the odds

Xxx

Hey. Sorry to hear you're suffering. Hope it eases off soon. I had my 20 week appointment today and she said the scan would be longer than the 12 week one as they go from head to toe taking various measurements and checking everything. I think I was in the scan room about 20 mins or so? Maybe a little longer. The scan woman talked through everything pointing out all out little girls features and checking things were the right length and in the right place.

Hope it goes well!

Loving the scan pics ladies, exciting seeing what your all having. But still super surprised I managed stay team yellow.

I didn't get anything for Mother's Day from the bump or the cats :(. But I have told the OH I need 2 Easter eggs 1 for me & 1 for bump ha ha.

My auntie is over from America for 2 wks and she brought me a bag of presents - 1 sleep bag age 1-6 months, 1 sleep bag aged 6 months plus, blankets, bottles, a rattle, wash clothes and grows - all in gender neutral colours, she also got my sis the same for her dd who is 12wks old - can't believe she sacrificed clothing space to bring me and my sis these !!! I thought that was awesome as we rarely see her. ( she's 67 and has lived in the USA for 50yrs).

Still don't look like I have a bump still looking fatter than usual ha ha.
Headaches have been coming and going still and now I have a grinding in m hip when I walk up the stairs, it's getting worse as the girls at college could hear it today whilst walking up 3 flights of stairs, so will mention it next week to consultant.

me and OH have been asked to be extras in a professional music video on Wednesday - exciting stuff :)

Hope everyone ok :) xx

Hello lovely, nice to see you here :) really friend bunch just like the HG thread!

20 week scan is a lot longer than others as it is quite detailed, wondering if you have had your scan already? Hope all is well xxx

Mum2b, it was sad but inspiring at the same time, if you are feeling a bit anxious though maybe leave to watch it after your scan on Monday? I agree with with littlemiss, the tears kept coming so hold on watching until you feel
Less anxious!

I hope the weather is nice elsewhere, here is heavy rain and is so cold :( Trying to find the energy to do some housework at the moment but unable to find any so far :/ the flutters and little kicks I once felt have now turned into such strong movements, it's like baby is doing martial arts in there, defo changed a lot in the last week.

X

Lanny, how nice of your aunt :) very generous. So sorry you are suffering with headaches and hips, that's the pregnancy glow we all have :-( hope the consultant can come up with a good plan ... And hope you are getting paid to be extras? Great fun though xxx

Thanks- I will give it a miss and watch another time I think!

The movements r great now! I can see them on the outside- as can hubby! Hoping Ethan might feel them at some point but I doubt he'll b patient enough to hold his hand on my tummy for more than 5 seconds!! Lol! Xx

Sooo just got back and we r team pink! Can't believe it! Measurements are all fine except she wouldn't show them her spine so got to go bk in 3 weeks but I'm sure if they were worried they would have got me in sooner! She said the other measurements where spot on so I'm happy! Baby Amelia it is! Xxx

Aw Keeptrying I knew we were all having girls lol so happy for you and welcome to team pink ;) lovely name too, so jealous of those who have got a name! Glad all is ok with baby Amelia.

Mum2b, yes I can see the kicks on the outside too, the remote for tv got kicked last night :) kids haven't felt baby yet as every time they put their hands on my tummy baby stops lol playing already with her brother and sister :) x

Hahaha- TV remote getting a bashing! .....Be lovely for your kids to feel her......hope Ethan can manage it once before the end! He has given his little brother a kiss (on my bump) a few weeks back but generally he doesn't pay much attention! I think when he moves rooms at Easter and sees more baby stuff in the house he will start to pick up on it more!! Xx

Grrr! Sorry but I'm having such a hard time looking for a suitable pushchair for newborn and toddler!! Its not that there isn't a choice or any I like but we can't afford new really- makes it trickier! And the weight limit for most is 15kg per child and Ethan already weighs more than that at 2yrs 5months!! Most of these pushchairs r meant to go up to at least 3 years!! Grrrr! Sorry its doing my head in a bit! Xx

Thanks girls! So this is baby Amelia! picking her nose! haha

Aw sure he will but probably will only really click once baby is here :) re the pushchair I know they can be a bit pricey, Phil and teds is heavy but goes for less money than the likes of icandy etc and should be suitable for both boys?

Love the pic Keeptrying :) x
