******August 2014 mummies******

Ladies this is not a v positive thread this morning :-(

Donnah- really hope all is well at appt and scan later!

Mummy_midwife- so sorry hun.....really, really hope its a one off and u don't have this to ho through and deal with again :-(

Lilmiss- I know it must b really scary but they must b able to treat high blood pressure some how and hold it at bay! I am going to stay positive for u!....*hugs* xxx

Thank you ladies , I too hope is just a one off :)
Leesey I know it is scary as Emily arrived at 36 weeks after 16 weeks of worry on/off, so we did really well to hold off til then!! My uterus seems to be over active , my mum had the same and gave birth to my baby sister in the bathroom at home at 23 weeks so I know the possibility is there though at the moment I am trying to stay positive is just a one off like you say mum2b , positive thoughts :)

Donnah I hope you get to have a good chat with consultants and I will be thinking of you at 2pm ;)

Littlemisshopeful I hope they can stabilise your blood pressure soon enough and that you feel a bit more reassured, hospital admission is not great but hopefully not for long. Hope you feel ok very soon xx

How did it got at the scan Donnah.

Mummy midwife I hope you're ok huni, I'm paranoid I'm going to go into labour around 25 weeks I have no idea why. I hope your contractions disappear

Lilmiss hopeful I hope you and the baby are ok

I went to the midwife today and told her about the hospital she said she never refered me and didn't know what was going in she was blaming them (roll eyes)
I did get to listen to the heart beat and I definitely have a baby in there it made it seem a bit more real to me. Feeling a bit happier 😁👶

Lilmiss I'm sure they can bring your pressure down and everything will be fine xx

Mummy bear that's lovely about the heartbeat! Sounds like u won't get anywhere with them blaming each other like that- typical! Xx

So I'm back home after having a full mot lol my blood pressure pee and blood tests all normal. The consultant thinks the cuff they used was to small for my arms as that can make the readings higher and she wrote on my notes to use a larger one or not take it as the stress it caused today was immense. Being told they think you have early onset preeclampsia is not fun. They re did it again just before I left and was even lower and perfect. Consultant had a feel of my tummy and they listen to his heart beat and said it's all looking good. But just incase it was a random spike I have to be seen by the midwife weekly for a couple of weeks just to be safe regards my history. Thanks for the well wishes all over a too small cuff but the relief is immense xxx

Oh gosh! Huge relief hun! That's a lot of stress and anxiety over something so simple being overlooked! I am v pleased u r home though and all is well :-)

Sorry for not updating sooner, have been visiting family and then went out for a Chinese!

The scan was very emotional and amazing, all appears good thankfully, the sonographer took ages looking at the heart and I was getting concerned so asked if everything was ok and she said baby was so wriggly it was hard to get a good shot but in the end she did.

Sooo happy to say we are TEAM BLUE! We didn't mind either way, just so grateful to be having a little one but hubby is just over the moon with a boy and so am I. When they told us at the end I couldn't stop crying for over 10 mins, the sonographer was asking if I was ok!

I have an anterior placenta which, after reading others posts, I had suspected as I have not been feeling any movement at all but it is high which is apparently good so that it won't get in the way when the baby is born.

Diabetologist was happy with my bloods, having scan every 4 weeks from 24 weeks, which is fine with me. Due date back to 2nd August from 4th as midwife said the hospital go by the scan where they did the nuchal testing so have to change my footer again!

Ahh, so happy!

Morning all. Littlemiss, glad your pressure is OK after all what a mare just over the wrong cuff size! Mummymidwife, hope you've not had any more contractions. Welcome to team blue donnah, congrats. I'm still not feeling much apart from odd pops thanks to placenta and where he's lying.

OHs mums funeral yesterday, day went smoothly and he didn't cry (though I did for him) I've never seen him cry he always holds it in. Asked whether he thought he'd cry when LO is born, he said he might, so we'll have to see.

Got my eldest niece to stop this weekend (she's 12). Belated birthday shopping for her, cinema and day out somewhere tomorrow. Think I'm gonna have to drag her into shops for me though, as desperately running out of clothes to wear!

Hope you all have good weekends.

Thanks Kaffee, have a lovely weekend, glad it went as well as it could yesterday :)

Congrats on team blue donnah great news seems like team blue is on the lead:)

Kaffee glad everything went smoothly yesterday. Never sen my oh crying apart from when ds was born so there is a good chance when he see baby he will share a tear.

Huge congrats donnah! Welcome to team blue! So pleased all went well!

Kaffee- good that funeral went smoothly and u all got to say goodbye. Always v emotional at funerals myself, your OH is v strong!

Hope u all have a lovely weekend! Xx

Congrats those who've had their scan these last few days. I'm excited for men on Monday, still staying team yellow. Have done an A4 size poster and put in the front of my notes that we DO NOT wish to know gender ha ha, so as well as telling them it's there to see right at the front ha.

Exciting day Monday as my mums sister flies in From America for 2wks so that will be lovely of my mum.

Got hospital appointments galore the 2nd week of April lol.
Going away over Easter to Southampton where OH is from which means a 4hr drive for me (he can't drive). I'm excited to go see everyone again but also means staying at OH Dads 2 nights - fine, his friends 3 nights -fab and then his mums 2 nights - I am not looking forward to that - they have a 2 yr old staffs that jumps all over you and then I'm gonna have put up with his mum asking how her grandson is gettin on in there - she is soooo obsessed about it needing to be a boy, she has 4 grandsons already and 3 granddaughters ( one is an angel baby) ( 1 is adopted). OH Has told her we aren't finding out as we don't care and to stop saying it but she don't listen grrr.

Sorry for long post I'm home alone n just thinking about everything, and know this is the only place I can say how I'm feeling :).

Hope ur all well and havin a gd weekend

Excited for men on Monday huh?!? Lol. Hope you enjoy them!! ;p
