**** April 2015 Mummies ****

Oh my goodness! Tri 3! I really need to hurry up and prepare for this baby's arrival!!!
Im not officially here until Sunday next week! But just popping between the two threads! xx

I'm not here either em until Thursday but I'm popping in and out :-) it's really scary that we are starting to move across already though!!! Xx

:( my second Braxton hicks episode is currently underway - they can get really uncomfortable.... Wondering how frequently people normal get bh episodes?? The last episode was new years eve...

Hoping it's not a sign she's going to come really early. I'm only 27+2 and was hoping to at very least go another 8 weeks... It's making me nervous though

I have been getting braxton hicks too quite a bit. Looked up online and it said you should contact your midwife if you get more than 4 an hour.

Also they can be caused by dehydration. I don't think it means baby is coming early unless they become painful.

I feel so awkward calling mudwife- last time I tried to call her (at 15 weeks) I couldn't get hold of anyone (not even hospital) - plus midwife has changed 3 times and I have no relationship with her at all. I don't want to make a big deal out of Braxton hicks... I feel like I can't unless it's really urgent.

She's kicking/ moving so I know she's ok

I'm getting Brixton hicks too prettypee. I have a midwife appt tomorrow do going to check with her.

Does anyone else have a midwife appt at 27-28 weeks? xxx

Me -though I had to make mine next wed as I couldn't make any of the sooner ones. I don't know when the rest of the appointments would fall...

I need to ring my midwife to book it. I've been told this appt is held at home rather than at gp like all other appointments. Mine do 24 weeks, 28 weeks, 32 weeks and then every 2 weeks til birth but apparently this is different if it's not your first - I get confused so I just make appointments when I'm told and turn up for them!

Just curious, what do braxton hicks feel like? I've no idea what to expect. Apologies if I'm coming across a tad naive or just plain stupid but I really don't have a clue! Especially as I've had various different twinges in different places!

I should have been seeing the consultant, scan and anti-d at 28 weeks but my care is being transferred to another hospital so waiting for the new hospital to contact me. I'll book myself in to see the community midwife if I haven't heard anything in the next week or so.

I have been feeling movement quite high up but the past few days I've had an uncomfortable pain in my back it honestly feels like something is wedged in my rib cage. OH massaged it a bit last night and it did ease off but it's back again this morning. Has anyone experienced similar? I'm only 24+3.

I'm loaded with the cold and have earache too so totally feeling sorry for myself at work today and just want to go home.

I'm quite behind everyone else at 24 weeks but I have finally reached my V-day! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!

Just walked from car into my Dr surgery....obviously a different pace to pottering around at home. And it's a struggle. My boy feels so low down it's a little uncomfortable. And it's a different midwife again. Never met my named midwife yet! xxx

CDx - I hope it eases off for you soon. It sounds horrible to be experiencing. I tend to get really bad colic and over the last few days it's really hit hard and kind of takes my breath away. I did speak to midwife and she said it's nothing to be concerned about. But the pain is very top of bump almost in ribcage so could be something you're experiencing too?

Congrats lizziimay!!! :D V-day is very exciting!! Thursday I'll 'officially' be moving in here in tri 3! I feel a tad naughty being here early but no one seems to be in tri 2 any more!!!

I've only seen my appointed midwife once in 4 chazabell. I would have thought that by now you'd have at least met her though!! I've just left a message for my midwife to make my 28 week appointment.

Everything is starting to get a bit more real now and I'm starting to feel more and more terrified about labour, birth and becoming a mum. I find myself crying for no apparent reason and I wonder if the pressure of becoming a parent is starting to get to me. Anyone else getting like this?
