**** April 2015 Mummies ****

Sounds like a good weekend Rooster.
I have a colleagues birthday party tonight, I can't wait to catch up with everyone because we all got moved offices and don't see each other much but at the same time work nights out were always crazy drunken nights so it will be strange being sober.

Today I am officially in tri 3!! Eventually! And last night was the first me and OH saw baby's kicks through my stomach. Anterior placenta is def not getting in their way now.

Sounds like a lovely weekend Rooster! Enjoy Birmingham! I'd spend way to much in mamas and papas!
This morning we went for our 3d scan! Baby is definitely a boy so the original gender scan was wrong! & He was being a monkey refusing to show his face, but this is the little glimpse we got! They're giving us a free rescan next week so hopefully he will play ball! DD loved seeing her brother on the screen! So was well worth it :-)

Tonight im going to quiz night with some friends so will have to try and stay awake past 9! Which is starting to become increasingly difficult!
Tomorrow we are finishing the painting in the nursery & DDs rooms ready for the new carpet being fitted on Monday!
Then i finally have my SOM appointment to discusd my HBAC on Tuesday!
With growth scans because im measuring 2cm ahead (did all the way with DD & she was 6lb2!) at 30, 32 & 36 weeks there's going to be an increasing amount of time spent at the hospital!

What a lovely scan! Feels weird not having anymore scans to look forward to.

Is anyone else's OH just plain lazy?
My OH didn't even manage to get up for a 4 hour shift starting at 10am. How is he going to cope with a full time job when the baby is born? I am just terrified that I'm going to have to rely on him to feed me and the LO until I can find work when I finally graduate from uni.
I definitely feel like I'm going to be the earner working full time while he looks after the LO at home :/

What gorgeous scan pictures em! I'm considering a 3d/4d scan just because I want to see my little boy again even though 3d/4d scans kinda creep me out a little bit!

I'm incredibly lucky with my OH lizziimayy, he's lazy but if I need him to do something he does do it. He might need reminding a couple of times but he helps me so much. I'm sure if you were to work and he was to look after LO then you'd have the easy job! He'll have a shock coming to him when he realises that being a parent never stops whereas you can always leave work at work!

My Husband can be irritating when I ask him to do something. He tries to make a joke if it until I loose my rag and say fine, I get up to go do it and he's like "oh sit down I was messing" why can't they just do it? Would you believe tho I left a pile if watching on the sofa to go upstairs (too heavy for me to lift) and it was there for a week until he moved it this morning when HE wanted something?

I think the baby arriving will be a shock and a wake up for most men and they'll automatically snap into Fatherhood so try not to frett. Maybe he's making the most of baby free life?

Scan photo is lovely Em. We had 1 a few weeks ago and baby was snuggled face into his placenta, so cute to see xxx

Lovely scan photos Em :-) We have our growth scan on Wednesday and I can't wait. Very very excited!

Since this is our second child, luckily we've both been there before so luckily I don't have to worry about how my OH will cope with a baby. I do worry how we'll both cope with TWO kiddies though! It'll be interesting!

Anyone else been invaded by cellulite during pregnancy? I seem more cellulite than woman right now.... I hope it goes away after birth....

Also I seem to have developed an unprovoked muffin top?? It looks like I'm wearing knickers too tight but it's there when I'm naked?!

Cellulite? No. Muffin top? Larger than life!

I think I'm suffering most with exhaustion at the moment. I'm constantly tired and lack any sort of drive to do anything. It doesn't help that movements are becoming more frequent and stronger at night just when I've lay down in bed. They never used to bother me but now they're really keeping me awake. As long as he's happy and healthy in there though.

Same here Cossie re: movements at night. I cant lie still in one position for long either n every time turn over get about five kicks. I know its just her adjusting to gravity changes lol but still annoying. also been trying with pillow between thighs n one behind me when lying on side as trying to prevent sleeping on my back. Not easy though

I don't notice a lot of movement during the day but as soon as I get into bed she kicks away at my side until the early hours of the morning!

My sleeps been scarce since about 28th December.I'm getting approx 4 hours a night between toilet breaks, back pain, rib pain and kicks!

Glad I'm not the only one to develop a phantom.muffin top. As for the cellulite river that has taken over- hopefully it's just to do with water retention!!

I don't have any problems once I finally get to sleep - it's the getting to sleep that he's stopping! Probably just our LOs trying to prepare us for what's to come!

Definitely not just you with the muffin top. I've found using bump bands hides it quite well which is good! I've been rubbing my stretch mark cream for my bump into my thighs as well so maybe that's helped with the cellulite? That or I'm just lucky. I only have 5 stretch marks too. They're relatively small although really dark!!

I can't see anything past my boobs which OH thinks is hilarious I've got him on stretch mark watch but so far so good. Someone who works with my mum is into aromatherapy and shes going to make me up something to keep stretcmarks to a minimum will let you know if it works and what's in it.

This might sound ridiculous but are any of you feeling movement in your bum? Like it makes you jump off your seat a bit? I've googled it and apparently this can be a sign baby is breach? But I have been feeling strong movements up at my ribs too within a short space of time which makes me think I have a really long baby or paranoid that they have missed a baby! Will my midwife be able to judge baby's position at my 28 week appointment next week?

Cx

Hi CDx, yes the midwife should be able to tell you position as mine did at my 28 week, confirmed she is still head down....With regards to movement in bum no not me as think she is always facing up or on side...I have felt pressure near the ribs though, not quite kicking there but almost....

OK guys you HAVE to watch this! Was searching for relaxing music for my birth and came across this entitled:

'Attempted Escape from the womb!!! Watch 'till the end!!!'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8dEQ5pz1gA

Can't believe she is 35 weeks!! That is one massive bump - hard to imagine that could be us in 6-10 weeks time! 7 weeks for me til I hit 35....And the movements, I'm afraid to say it guys but we haven't seen/felt nothing yet if this video is anything to go by!

I get kicks in my bum. Feels like they're kicking your bum hole/foof at the same time.
And my bubs is head down in my pelvis as confirmed by a growth scan last week. Also still got feet in my ribs as well, which with my first LO the midwife assured me would stop when he engaged but he so long that even when I was in labour his feet were in my ribs! Xx

No pain in the backside but my ribs are a nightmare - I'm short so she wedges her head /feet right under my ribs - feels like somebody shoved a rock in there and left it!

My belly moves in an interesting way- currently getting the belly lean a lot. I watch my belly move to one side of my belly button and it looks so weird a big slope / lopsided bump!

I feel baby right down in my lady bits! I have a scan on Wednesday so will get to know exactly where baby is. I have a feeling it's head down.

prettypee, you introducing us all to 3 Sprouts has costs me a fortune  I bought my son a toy box and book shelf thing - fell in love with them and now ordered two toy cubes for the playroom! I'm now skint

Phew glad to read it's not just me, ive a pain in my right ribs thought it could be cause for concern. Is it the baby then? Last appointment my mw told me the baby was still head down which is why ive a lot of pressure down there.
