i think i may just be too busy with work and a toddler like a whirlwind and housework to actually notice it.

im planning on going off at 30 weeks... my job is physically very demanding and the shifts are long, plus it will give me some mummy/son time before baby comes. i'll till be able to have 9 months at home with baby before returning.

Hey ladies, haven't been in for a while. Cant believe how quick time is going, especially when I see some of you finding out what team you are. Congratulations, how exciting.

I had my 16 week appointment today which was all fine apart from being a bit low on iron. So been prescribed iron tablets. Do you normally hear babys heartbeat at 16 week appointment? A couple of people said to expect that but my midwife never checked this?

Nice guidelines say not to until 24 weeks Poispinner I think because of the chance of not finding it and the upset that can cause. My friend recently had a private scan the day after the midwife couldn't find heartbeat at 16 weeks because she was so panicked! (All was fine).

I had my 16 w check today - wee and BP perfect despite having a rather stressful day today!!

I think you should all zip it about mat leave. I think I have approx 22 weeks to go... Nooooo!!!!! Xx

Yea I hear what your saying about mat leave! Im planning to go end of april and using 2 weeks holiday to start, then tag any accrued holiday on at the end. What about you?

My MW didnt check hb on either on my pregnancies at 16wks hun. Some do, but i think its jjst down to mws personal choice as they dnt 'have' to till much later.

Im hoping to go as long as poss too any leave around 37-38wks so still bloody ages to wait here aswell! Booooo!!!!

Im having my iron checked tomorrow because of almost fainting and feeling so spaced out. I waa boarderline with my lb and have iron tabs, fx if this is the issue i can get them again and sort this out xx

see my mw told me it was the main purpose of the appoisontmen. to check, bp, dip uring, get me in her books and to listen to baby. its funny how different trusts work things

im planning on going off 30/31 weeks, using my 3 weeks holiday, then taking my 29 weeks, then tagging 4 of my 5 weeks onto the end of leave to being me into mid january 2017

im not too fond of baby movements, but its nice to know its fine in there - i dont get the wow moments in pregnancy at all

I was going to finish about 4 days before due date but I'm going to bring that back a week now. I was so fed up with son son - finished at 36-37w and he didn't come until I was 10 days over!!! I'm trying to avoid the boredom this time as the monster will still be in nursery 4 days a week for a few weeks. X

I was exactly like you! As gutted I didn't hear a heartbeat as plenty of people had! Ended up going to Dr's last night with extremely painful lower abdominal pains. No sign of urine infection so got laid on bed and Dr brought in a heart beat machine and really struggled to find hb, so I got myself all worked up panicking thinking the worst, after what seemed like a lifetime I heard my babies fast beating heart and burst into tears! My OH was with me and I could see him welling up. Gosh all this worry and the little buggar isn't even here yet.xx

I've had a few kicks/pokes today baby's been quite quiet for the last week and I've barely felt him, but he's made sure today that I know he's ok!!!

Ahh Jojo same thing here - my best mate is 12 weeks behind and just found out - I keep having to bite my tongue when I mention the baby boom that seems to be happening around here!!! I keep saying she didn't want me to get lonely on mat leave hahaha!! X

I've updated my thread about work.....I was out doing my Christmas shopping when I had a call to go in for an urgent meeting. They're looking for a buyer :-/ if it's not sold by Feb half term, then we're closing and no one has a job

At least we should keep going until at least Feb, then even if we do close, its not too long until I was planning on taking mat leave. Just means I'll have to claim MA a little earlier than planned, and OH NEEDS to get looking for a better paid job until I can get back to work (reluctantly!). And preferably a job where he is home more than he is away :/ Really could have done with him home after today, but he's 5 hours away again
