Thanks guys, I got 15 eggs!!! So really happy and the procedure wasn't very painful atall, in fact I thought she was still doin the ultrasound and she said 'right ovary done' couldn't believe it. Got to wait until tomoz to see how many have survived and been fertilized but because we ate having icsi I'm hoping a fair few. I was off my head on valium though I had one but they were ages calling me in so I had another lol. And whilst I was waiting an hour for the drugs to go through the iv line I kept falling asleep. So all in all a brilliant day but this is the really scary bit now isn't it x

The woman before me got 35 eggs! She was crying, felt so sorry for her x

I feel pretty sore now though like my insides have been bruised and punched about, is this normal and how long will it last?x

15 eggs is fabulous news. You'll feel sore for several days, but it'll be worth it every time you get an update on your embryos.

And 35 eggs? That's amazing but boy must she be sore!

Well apparently quantity isn't always a good thing because of quality and over stimulation. I just been reading 15 is ideal so I'm more than happy but can't help feeling nervous for next stage now, it's such a rollercoaster, didn't understand that phrase until now. Will update tomoz x

you're absolutely right - 12-16 is considered ideal response

First scan/injection today @ 12, followed by job interview @ 2.15, followed by next job interview @ 4... Am slightly stressed! Please wish me luck

P.s. any idea how long the first appt where they scan you & show you how to inject yourself lasts? I hope I've allowed enough time for that & travel! :-/

Shouldn't take too long, good luck with this stage.... I'm anxiously awaiting the call to tell me how the embies have done, I actually feel like throwing up... want to take another valium haha, but I won't.

8 fertilized and she said maybe more will, but they are going the transfer tommow? Why would they do this seems odd x

They may have one or two clear leaders which is what they're looking for.

The best place for them is in your tummy. Are you able to get your translator to ask for you?

They spoke English to me yesterday but I thought they were gonna speak Spanish on phone so she had it but they spoke to her in bloody English, typical! We gotta be there for 12 tomoz and she asked and they said they will speak English again so I will ask them. I just think it's odd that 8 fertilized, she said she was very happy but is doing a 2 dt. I will need to trust their judgement anyway I guess

A friend of mine is going through IVF at the mo and her clinic only do a 2DT no matter, so I guess every clinic is different and they wouldn't do it if they didn't have their reasons, try not too worry.
I used to think 5DT was best to aim for but after our failed cycle last year I realised that isn't always the case and wish I had a 2 or 3DT

I've researched it like mad, I always say I shouldn't but there you go lol, research suggests there isn't much difference between a 2 and 3 day but most people who had a 2 day was because they only had a few embies, but we have 8 so not sure. There's no point worrying is there because I CNN ask tomoz and they know what there doing x
