I haven't posted on here much recently, kind of run out of things to say and better to lurk when treatments fail and it's just a matter of waiting to decide what to do next but we're starting another IVF cycle next month so feeling very happy, nervous and excited for that but guessing these will be the longest 2 weeks ever waiting for AF as they always are when you want to get started on a treatment cycle.

I guessed so mishi with u having 3 put back. That's such good news though and encouraging for the older women on here too. Can't believe this time next week I'll have had egg retrieval!!!

Today was my last microgynon so I guess I'll start with the injections in about a week... eek!

Yeah I'm finding it ok, got to take cetrotide today at 8, bit nervous as its different needle and I've been used to the easy puregon pen but hopefully I will be ok. I'm on 10 day of stims now so EC should deffo be Thu or Fri, dreading that bit to be honest as I know I will panic x

Hiya girls, so very emotional day today, but all ok. Think the hormones and emotions finally getting to me and was crying before. It all set it off cos my follicles on my right, about 9 were all measuring 18 to 22 whilst my left, about 6 were only measuring around 12 to 14 with 1 16 in there, I thought this was horrendous but she said its common and didn't seem that worried, anyone else had this? Does it mean my smaller follicles arnt much good?
Anyway then I had to have the OHSS test which was an agonizing wait but they said I haven't got that atall, and I'm triggering tonight at 11 and having ER on Wed!! So I think a mixture of relief, nerves and panic got the better of me!! How's everyone else getting on? Xx

Yup, most people have one ovary that gets ahead. Remember once you've triggered they have another 36 hours to grow, that's 48 hours from your previous scan so lots of them catch up. From memory they grow about 2mm a day so those smaller ones will be mostly over the line by then and you should get a bumper crop. They plan it that way so it sounds like you're doing perfectly.

Ah really, great to know scotch thanks, u know what it's like u 2nd guess everything. I'm to take a valium tomoz night then again Wed morning, so bloody up tight so looking forward to that bit. How did mishis blood test go? And scotch u r so far along now it's flying bye, r u finding out if ur having a mini scotch egg or pork pie? X

Gemma it's so scary but out hospitals do the best they can for us. Egg collection is scary but possibly my favorite bit of the cycle, it's when things really start happening.

Oh crap just read, I didn't know u all had journals, aww poor poor mishi that's so bad please send her my love really feel for her.
So should you not do hpt before blood test then? And I'm confused was she pregnant and had early miscarriage or not pregnant and test was wrong? Hope I'm not being insensitive asking just wondering.

Probably a chemical pregnancy but it's hard to know what happens so early or why.

They don't advise you do a hpt before otd as it can cause distress if negative and later turning positive. I've found I can never wait for otd - ivf 2wws are incomparable.

In mishi's case she'd be in the same situation either way as blood test on otd was positive but very low. I just wish this didn't happen to anyone, it's not fair!

Hello ladies

Had my 1st tracking scan today.....pretty naff. Only 1 follie with anything worth talking about. An amazing 11mm on my left and my lining is thin But i have only had 7 jabs of 75bit Menopur, so im back in for a scan on Friday, if not much growth they'll increase my dose over the weekend. So lots of happy thoughts and protien over the next week to encourage growth! Ive been doubling up my folic acid and indulging in blueberries....has anyone else tried blueberries whilst ttc and see anything? I read they can be good for the uterus.

The nurse did show me my scan and i saw my uterus/ lining which was a weird feeling. Just thinking that 1 day that will be home to my baby xxxx

Sorry it wasn't the news you wanted but u have only just started so there's time yet.
I triggered last night, it was a pre filled pen so I just put on the needle, turned the dial to 250 and plunged it in, pretty simple that one. I'm crappin myself foe ER tomoz and the comin days till the embies are back in. X
