Well finally got an answer from hospital after our first full failed cycle of IUI. They have said we have to move straight on to IVF as our first two cycles of iui were cancelled and the one we did complete was nearly cancelled due to too many follicles.

Should get a letter next week sometime telling me first appt date for IVF but it is going to be 2-3months away. Not sure how I feel about skipping our last two tries at IUI..... but I guess it does make sense.

I can stop sniffing nasal spray for now, been on it since August/September time.... not sure what to expect my cycle to do once I stop, anyone any ideas?

Hi Skeando - well thats good I think, saves messing you about, ivf might suit you far more! I would ring them and check about the sniffing. I would have thought they would want you to bleed for a few cycles before starting, but best to check incase you could save time by staying on them eg diff protacol

Ivf is probably a good move. You know from your over responding to the iui that you'll be a good responder to the ivf drugs so it sounds like a positive move and a good way to avoid the heartbreak of further canceled cycles.

I went for my pre theatre scan today. Lining is 10mm. So I'm happy. Last injection Friday. Pessaries start sat. And thawing starts Monday . Fingers crossed for transfer on thurs . X

Got my first scan on Friday and I'm soooo nervous!! Been taking the contracepive pills for 2.5 weeks now. On Friday they will tell me when I need tro start with my injections.

Has anyone else been on teh short protocol with contraceptive pills - how long did you take contraceptive pills for?!

I'm not as knowledgeable on all this, I'm starting tablets on my next period for around 15 days (is this similar to the pill) because after about 15 days I have the injection for a few weeks, 2 different ones, then they take out the eggs so I think that process is about 4 weeks then obviously another 2 weeks ish to testing so the whole thing is about 6weeks or just over does that sound right?

Been given the green light to start my Gonal F injections tonight then back in on Wednesday for another scan and blood test.

I went today got all my prescriptions, start the down regulation in about 10 to 12 days when af rears he'd head, actually excited for it for once! I will be on the tabs roughly 15 days then injections... so excited starting to feel real now x

Have officially done my last suprecur! Here's to 2 pessaries a day starting in the morning and carrying on with progonova. I'm excited and scared for the coming days . X

Good luck Gemma. Sounds about right. I was on pills ( contraceptive pills) for just under 3 weeks and started the Gonal F injections yesterday. Then I'll have the Cetrotide injections but it depends how I go with Gonal F before they start me on the Cetrotide. I also have Suprecur and Ovitrelle and Cyclogest Pessaries. No idea when I'll start with the others.

Back from a weeks holiday in Turkey... total chill out and a break from all the TTC/work/house related drama of last few months.

Got my letter through from hospital, first appt for IVF is 31st May, they have sent me loadsa forms (again), so it looks like it will be the same as for IUI, loadsa forms, bloods tests, swabs and as long as it is all ok I'm guessing starting on next AF after appt.

Feels like ages away, but I guess it lets me sort out work related drama first. So I guess we are ttc naturally for a couple of months? Will be strange to be back to that again. Have had a bleed since stopping nasal spray, so hopefully cycle will get back to normal asap.

Just quick update from me, picked my edelsin tablets up today so on them in about 8 days time when af shows up! Well scared and excited, good luck to everyone else xxx
