Abit silly as there is only a day in it but after my midwife has recalculated my dates my due date is 24th sept xx

Hey Mammabear! I leave work on the 29th July! cannot wait only 3 weeks left at work and im sure it will fly by as we are busy moving house at the mo too! xx

I know!! they first told me the 24th but ive seen 3 different community midwifes and they have all ummmd and arrrrrrd about it but when i saw the "head" midwife yesterday at the hospital she said def the 24th! Wonder which little man will arrive first?!

Welcome Mammabear how are you feeling?

I will update list with you and robtans1st's new date as soon as I can get to laptop, I'm at my sister in laws atm.

I finished work last week, I was getting stressed at work and decided it would be better for me to just chill all summer, so I took all my annual leave first and maternity kicks in next month, loving it so far!!

I had problems here getting on nhs antenatal classes, my midwife said there weren't any I could get on as I was outside the catchment area (didn't really make much sense to me at the time). I only live about 5 miles from the hospital. I think she just left it too long to tell me about the classes so there was no room left?? So she recommended sure start (I think thats what its called). The midwife is going to come out to my house to talk to us. It costs £40 per class, she said most things will be covered in one class, so I suppose its not too bad (and a lot cheaper than nct) Doing that at the beginning of August.

Did a tour of the hospital last weekend, found it really good, so feeling quite chilled about that aspect of things. Also just purchased a hypnobirthing cd and book to see how I go with that

Thanks Sassysugar! My nhs only offer a one-off class I was told so we went with nct but it is not cheap!! I can't wait for my hospital tour but it's not til nearly the end of august.

Katie21 I'm so jealous of you finishing so soon! I know loads of people who are pregnant and moving or having work done on their houses... I haven't even got round to decorating yet but we have got a week away at the end of the month and i'm hoping my oh's mum might do it for us then... She won't let me so much as lift the kettle so I'd hate to deprive her by doing the painting and wallpapering myself

Let me know how you get on with it, I've just started the mongan book its quite interesting, not sure I agree with all of what she says but its def changed some of my perceptions, I've not listened to either of my cds yet gonna do that tomorrow night.

When does everyone finish work? I'm counting down the days already and I'm in for another 7 weeks! x

I am SOOOOOOOOOO counting down the days until my maternity leave, I have the rest of this week left at work, then I have a weeks holiday next week (as have to use it up before 1st August or I lose it!) then I am back at work for my final week whoop whoop!!! finishing 5th August!!!!!

It is really dragging though, I have a massive project to finish before I leave so its mental busy and I am just too tired to work a full day let alone manage my 37 hours a week! I cannot wait until I can get nesting and potter about my house, and finish knitting the bloody baby blanket I started 18 weeks ago and have only a 1/4 of it done!!!

hh me 2 am counting down the days a opted to finish on 14th august which is sunday wish never said that far now cant be arsed but someones been arranged cover from then so just let be am getting impatient now a want be further on have baby lol a keep thinking all mad stuff like what if this wrong and that is wrong what if partners working away me head playing tricks a got me 32week growth scan tommorow and midwife and am gonna make sure a cover everything a wanna ask try get birth plan and stuff cos a feel could happen anytime am huge and very unbcomfortable down below as if babys gonna fall out lol x

i know what you mean girls im counting down the days too!! i finish next friday and its other halfs birthday on the sunday so its gunna be a weekend of celebrating! I have found work really hard these last couple of weeks, so tiring, by the time i get home i feel like i dont even want socialise or do anything! Can't wait to be a lady of leisure xx

There is a guy at my work who told me he thinks its wrong I get a year long holiday! I was like Wtf a holiday!??!! It's not a holiday I'm growing a friggin person its hard work I'm exhausted, I need the next few weeks to do nothing just to produce a 7lb+ baby that I have to squeeze out and then recover from that whilst feeding it and keeping it alive!!

lol Men have no idea they really dont! How rude him saying that to you! One guy i worn with said to me today, i think men could do pregnancy much better than woman, flaming cheek lol! I though if only you could experience it!

He is a confirmed bachelor (ie a weirdo loner who noone in their right mind would want to be with!!!) and he hates kids and thinks that because he doesn't want kids he should be entitled to a year off work like us women who have got ourselves knocked up!!! He's the type of person you can imagine one day snapping and bringing a shotgun into work, lol so I tend to humour him a lot and be 'friendly' too, am about the only person who he always comes over to say hello to, its really creepy he knows stuff about me that I think I don't remember telling you that! I always joke to my hubby if I ever disappear get the police to check his basement anyway when he accused me of my year long 'holiday' my hormones got me and I went into a mental rant about how hard it is to raise a baby and how I won't be getting paid, but I'm gonna be more fulfilled and happy than his sad ass, I haven't seen him since so either he's cleaning his gun or I scared him off lol, taught him a lesson not to mess with a pregnant woman
