***September 2016 Mummies - the last lap***

Mrs B they are absolutely adorable!

Im getting a bit bored now not working and waiting for the baby and i dont have the nesting must clean instinct that everyone keeps talking about lol!!

Have tried two sweeps but my cervix is closed. I have an appointment on Thursday when I think they will book me into hospital over the weekend, midwife said I'm probably going to need the gel to try and get things started, so I've been googling that for days!

Redhead, I'm beyond bored!! Also don't really have that cleaning instinct either but I did go mad on baking last week and baked lots of cakes!

MrsB STOP IT!!! The cuteness, I can not handle it! How are you feeling? How are they sleeping?

Ruby I felt the exact same way at 40+6. A whole lotta nothing. I started taking oral Evening Primrose Oil at 40+5, and inserted it vaginally too, and labor did start 2 days later and she was born 3 days later. I mean I was 8 days over at that point so probably it would have happened anyway but it felt good to be doing something.

Hope that baby comes soon!

Everyone says he looks big in photos and then are surprised at how small he is in real life! He gets weighed again on Thursday .... he's feeding like a wee trooper so I'm sure he'll have a good gain xx

Hi ladies - baby Evans is here!! Unfortunately it ended up as a c section - had contractions through the night on Monday and then on and off Tuesday morning but they kept getting more painful and then petering out. Millie came in tuesday morning and got really upset when she realised i wasnt going home with her. Bawled my eyes out after she left.

When I was examined Tuesday 1pm cervix was still unfavourable and they couldn't break my waters. There were concerns about my previous c sec scar rupturing if another pessary was tried, and baby was beginning to show signs of distress so decision was made to do a c section. I'm not going to lie, I was gutted. While I wanted to ensure baby was safe, I had so hoped to be able to do a natural delivery, plus I knew it'd mean a longer hospital stay.

Had issues getting the line in my hand - 11 attempts were made before someone succeeded - it was so painful and my hands and arms are purple now! I have sinking veins especially when dehydrated and they kept getting the line partly in a vein and then not being able to push it in the whole way. There were also issues getting the spinal in and I've got bruises all down my lower back now! Blood pressure went v low during surgery so I got all sick and fainty but all in all it was a success!

And it's a boy! Baby James was born at 5:16pm on 13th (shares Roald Dahl bday!) and was 6lb 9.5oz. He's completely perfect and millie managed to visit in the eve and was so sweet with him.
Been quite sick since and have had another sleepless night but despite not getting the labour I hoped for I'm so happy!

Hope the overdue ladies have news soon!!
Xxx

Congratulations Naomi a gorgeous little brother for Millie. I hope you recover quickly and can get home soon to be with your family. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight x

Congratulations Naomi! Lovely name. Sorry to hear it didn't go as you had planned but glad he arrived safely. Hope you manage to get some sleep or a nap at some point xx

Congratulations Naomi- so sorry about the csection but welcome sweet baby James!

Congrats Naomi :) and it's another boy :)

Sorry you didn't get to push but the main thing is that he is here in one piece, sorry that you are also black and blue.

Hopefully Millie won't mind too much that you are staying in and extra day now she has a baby brother.

Hope you get some sleep soon and behave yourself :) no lifting heavy things like I do x

Thanks ladies!!! We have to stay in 3 days here after c sections so hoping to be out Friday. He's off the pathway now as his levels are so good, so that's fab news. Still pinching myself that he's here!!! Picture to follow later.

Is anyone else getting induced this week? How are you all doing those who are still pregnant?

Can't believe how many boys we've had!!!! Xxx

Congratulations Naomi! Another boy to add to the September Mum's!

Well... at the midwife appointment yesterday we were a bit concerned that the baby had turned breech again. I had my suspicions because of the movements I was getting and I was still suffering from the most horrendous heartburn - all day/night. I was sent for a scan and it confirmed the baby was back to the breech position with bum/feet down!

They asked me if I wanted them to try and turn the baby but I just didn't feel comfortable with that option. I honestly think the baby is comfortable in that position as it's been breech most of the pregnancy!

So, I am scheduled for a C Section on Friday! I am more than comfortable at that decision and I don't feel upset in anyway that I won't be delivering naturally. I just feel that as long as the baby is delivered safely then that's all that matters. We are Team Yellow so I wonder if it'll be another boy to add to the "September Boys" list??

Congrats Naomi! Lovely name, was it inspired by a certain Roald Dahl book?!
Still overdue, think I'm resigning myself to ending up in a c sec aswell. I'm not completely against it I just don't want my baby to be in distress and to arrive safe.
Am also team yellow but reckon I've got a boy, everyone has said it throughout, My bump is still high and you can't tell from the back that I'm pregnant!

Oh good luck for Friday :) safest way is always the best way in my opinion :) we carry them for so long it would be a shame to risk any harm to them on the way out wouldn't it x
