***September 2016 Mummies - the last lap***

Naomi88 I've been potty training my son for the last two weeks, he started off with poo anxiety too. What we realised after a couple if days was that it was the potty putting him off and as soon as we talked about the toilet and poos he came around to it. We have a seat with steps on our toilet downstairs and now when he needs a number two he goes to the toilet and does it there rather than the potty where he will quite happily do a wee. It's strange, the first time he did a poo on the toilet you would think we had won the lottery ! He also thinks putting toilet roll down is funny as then it plays hide and seek. Sometimes he does take a bit of coaxing to get him to the toilet but once he's done one he's a different child.

I think I will have these 2 in August as well x

Are twins more likely to come early?
How are you feeling?
I am struggling to transport one around, so you must be absolutely shattered! Xx

Yes, apparently on average they come at about 37-38weeks, I feel well in myself thankyou but I now look like I'm 40 weeks pregnant and my body aches with the weight it is transporting. Al I think is the end is near lol.

How are you feeling? Transporting one is much easier but once I've had these 2 it will all be worth it x

Glad you feel well :)
I am struggling with painful bump and walking around! They think it's SPD, but don't feel it in hips, just bump, but not when sitting. Trying support belts but they are awful as I can't sit down in them! Feeling like I have had enough of work already and only have 5 weeks left as a teacher... Up and down all day so doesn't really work! Anyway, I would do it again in a second to feel my lo move around. Since 28 weeks have begun to feel it more often and movements have changed. Baby is currently trying to kick my iPad off my belly it hates having things on it! MW always jokes that it doesn't like her as always trying to kick her off. Calms down when my cats sit on bump. Love them purring :)

Aww I know what you mean about the support belts being uncomfortable to sit down in. 5 weeks will fly by, I work in an X-ray dept so I am on my feet 8 hours a day until this week where they are forcing me to sit down and take it easy lol x

Thank you. Nice to have supportive employers isn't it? Mine are fantastic. Here's to the 5 weeks zooming away quickly! Xxxxx

Thanks Karen :)

I'm taking week 39 off annual leave so mat leave starts at week 40. I am carrying my annual leave over to the end of mat leave so I can go back later :) hoping I can last out - not feeling too achey luckily yet but getting so tired!!
Xxx

Gosh you're brave Naomi! How long are you taking off?

Glad (in a selfish way) to hear it's not just me haha!! She already goes on the toilet and potty for wees and have tried both for poos but still no progress as yet. I've tried everything I can think of - talking about the funny noise it makes splashing in the toilet (ew!), saying she'll be able to use the spray when she goes, letting her see me go and daddy go (again ew!)... running out of ideas at the moment but have ordered a couple of toddler friendly books and going to just wait and let it hopefully run its course I think!

Haha well I did the same last time and managed it then but finding it all harder this time with a little one already so will have to see how I get on I guess!

Hoping to be off until September 2017 when millie starts school so I'm just paying childcare for one. Will not be worth me working otherwise! Our nursery is 41 a day for one and 82 for 2 so would be more than I earn I think!! Xxx

Sounds like a good plan. It's so expensive isn't it?
We're fortunate as my mum and sister will do the childcare between them, at the most we only need two days a week done as DH rota is 2 days, 2 nights then 4 off so we only need childcare for his day shifts, hoping it works out fine cos I'm not even sure we would find any childcare that could start at 6.30 am to allow DH to get to work on time and there's no way we'd find childcare for me to drop baby off at 6am for me getting to work for starting at 7am!

I might have to move over here early...I don't think there is anyone left in Tri2!

Only a few more days :)

Hope everyone is well xx

Just come over, it doesn't matter if you're early ...... we can't have you on your lonesome lol
How are you?

Had my 7 month pregnancy risk assessment at work yesterday. Highlighted the issues with our new GM relying on me for all sorts on top of my normal workload (something my line manager and the director are already aware of) so it's all in writing. I finish five weeks Friday. So will have one last one the week before I go.

Also highlighted that it now seems unlikely that they will have my cover in place before I go as well which is highly disappointing but we'll prepare as best as possible. Already spoke to my director about this and that he may need to pull in a favour from another site to keep on top of some of my more specialised tasks.

I love the organisation of some companies, in my team we have a girl already on mat leave, me as of next week and another girl leaving in August ... So the obvious thing to do is have a new starter start when 2 of us are already off and we don't have the staff to train ... I feel for my colleagues as they get no help x

It's so exciting that we are in Tri 3 now!

I had my 28 week midwife appointment on Tuesday. Everything seems to be going well - Heartbeat was sounding great and Baby was moving around lots. I was measuring 29 weeks but she said that was fine for being 28 weeks pregnant.

I am now starting to feel the tiredness coming on quickly especially in the afternoons. The heartburn is terrible at night too!

I finish work on the 10th of August which is 4 weeks before my due date - I just used some of my annual leave and in July I go down to just working the 3 days instead of the 5 days when I'm in at night. My job involves me walking about and standing on my feet a lot so I find backshift week tiring so I'm glad about the 3 days instead of 5!

It's nice to feel Baby moving around a lot too - I'm trying to get to grips with establishing a pattern which again is quite difficult in a busy workplace isn't it? But I'm reassured when I get a good few big kicks.

I love the reassurance of being kicked :)

I had my 28 week scan on Tuesday and all is well, twin 1 is weighing about 2lb5oz and twin 2 about 2lb88oz ... So good weights so far. However twin 1 is bum down so has 4 weeks to sort himself out otherwise it looks like c-section for us. I am also now on crutches but only 3 shifts left at work x

Well today they managed to piss me about with a meeting/training session that then didn't happen so I missed my actual lunch break. Just had crisps and biscuits all day and didn't get away from the desk... I tol them I was leaving an hour early because of it and they weren't stupid enough to try and argue it.

Been far too hot in this thundery muggy weather we've had round here. Baby has been moving still but it's not such big kicks so I think the heat is causing this. He still follows routine pattern too.

Have my 28 week apt tomorrow morning with consultant, I'll be 29+2 though

And, we move house this weekend

Oh wow that has come round quickly, decorated throughout? Your work needs a slap x

I'm not 28 weeks til weds but I'm moving over to the tri3 thread now :)

Lander your work sounds ridiculous!!! Can't have you not getting a proper lunch!

I'm sooo tired and heartburn has started. Really thought I wouldn't get it :-(

Xx

Pretty much, he's done it in a month... Last of the carpet went down today, Dad's coming to finish off the bathroom tomorrow and over the weekend. DH is currently taking apart DsS's cabin bed having already segmented the sofa.

I'm half packing, or prep packing, I.E. making sure things that aren't packed are at least ready to be packed etc. I store a lot of stuff in boxes anyway which makes things easier to move.

28 week apt today (at 29+2, go figure) and all was fine except I think she measured bump from too low down below my symphisis pubis so bump measured 31 weeks, so, as previously discussed, will have a growth scan at 32 weeks. He's long anyway ffs lol. I'm not finding this anything worth worrying about tbh.

I asked to be weighed again and unsurprisingly, have only gained 3kg (or about 6lb) since booking... Been seeing only about 5lb on my home scales.

Wow you are very organised :), I like storing things in baskets lol, at least the extra scan means you see him again ... Not that you see much by then.

I'm going to ask to be weighed at my next appointment as I weighed myself at home last week and I was about 2kg less than booking weight, I know they are growing well as I have had my first growth scan and I know I'm losing weight as my collar bones are more prominent but I'm intrigued in the difference on their scales. They threatened that I may have to go in hospital for an iron drip too if my levels don't rise :(.

I don't know about you but I can't believe we are on the home run already, it seems to have gone so fast x

Great feeling waking up this morning knowing I'm not working again until September 2017!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that everybody over from tri 2 now? The weeks are flying by for us now :)

Just me scn but I've been mooching over :) wow, no work until Sept 17, amazing!! Ive got until the sch holidays and then going back for 2 weeks (she says now) until the 16th.

Feeling good, still getting headaches and the tiredness has set in again, enjoying post work naps!

House is coming along nicely, need to get to IKEA to get some bits including some draws as everything is currently in bags!

Measured 24cm at 25+4 at MW, bump is still 'petit' as my sister calls it, waiting to pop!

Happy weekend everyone! Xx
