Bunnykins, I'm on Omazaprole and take Ranitdine when I'm really bad - reflux is a curse but they both help a lot.

Any swelling up? My fingers are sooooo swollen. I can't get my rings off! I went for the walk this morning and got quite hot when i was out and then tried to take them off after. Bad idea. They're starting to feel really uncomfortable

Laura has it: Favourable means soft and thinning out. Google "Bishops score" . Makes sense though, your cervix normally will only let something the size of a thin straw through (like when I fit coils, but even that can be painful for some ladies), so can you imagine the idea of someone wiggling a finger through and swishing things about??? If you're already a bit opened up, its no drama though (and the consultant who did the 3rd one got a little blood afterwards, and it still felt okish)

Littletwix, I got my rings off today after soaking my hand in icy water then using liquid soap on it. The indentation mark is still there though!

Bunny, ranitidine is fine too, its just you have to take it twice a day rather than once.

I'm on ranitidine twice a day and I think it's helping..I haven't been woken up by choking on stomach acid since!

My manager and team have took pity on me for having really bad braxton hicks yesterday and are making allowances for me to rest in-between seeing patients and coming off the busier wards at peak times...also I'm not working on my own now and one of the physio's today was pretty much my body guard haha. I am hearing them tho I recognise that I need t start taking it easier now and can't rush about as normal. Last night when I got home I counted 5 episodes of BH in an hour but then it eased off after relaxing and I have felt better today eeek tho!

I've got nothing left to do but actually pack my hospital bag All the essential things for it are laid out on the spare bed already. I probably will add in a few bits for ME though, like snacks etc. But that's hardly essential, as *shock* the world will not stop and shops will still be open as I go into labour

As for stretch and sweep - I didn't have it done last time, and won't this time either, unless I get REALLY impatient.

I had 3 sweeps. Done nothing for me. I was most unfavourable. LOL. I didn't find it uncomfortable at all.

I'm hoping it doesn't get that far for me this time. I really don't want to be late again.

Anyone ever get a wee sore bit on their bump? I've got a sore bit about 2 inch wuse at the front - not sure if baby has given it a dunt or if I've hit it off a door handle or something lol!!

33 weeks today here too!! Jeezo! Still got 5 1/2 weeks to work .

I had 1 sweep with dd2, it was painful and did nothing at all- but 7 day induction didn't do anything either with dd1!

Everyone seems really organised - I think for us we just need to order pram and car seat- and maybe few other bits nearer the time x

I've tried everything ice, baby oil, soap, dental floss (read about it on the internet), windolene, cling film, even preparation h!

I have sizing beads on my engagement ring that make it excruciatingly sore to try to get off. Starting to get desperate!

I was in the bath earlier and I've made myself sicky trying to pick the bits off !!

Morning Ladies!

I've stopped wearing my rings months ago! I now definitely have the sausage fingers syndrome The midwife got me a pair of splinters (or splints?) to wear on my hands at night to help reduce the swelling but all they did was give me a rush on top of my hands

Mrs, do we have to clean the nipples I remember I tried that once and all I got was a sore nipple so I will not be attempting that again!

I am half awake today! My night was filled with nightmares and ended in a huuuuge leg cramp! Don't remember ever having such sore cramp

Sorry to hear you slept badly
Aside from too hot and multiple pee breaks i actually slept well
We bought a V shape support pillow. Dunno if im using it right but my back doesnt hurt this morning for a change
I have it between my legs and slightly under my belly x

Pregnancy pillow is a life saver!! I wouldn't be without it! I have the long, straight one and like you, I put it between my legs and under my belly but also hug it for extra support. It really works x

Yup, I think you should leave your nipples alone

I agree on the "leave the nipples alone" I tend to just wash my boobs the same as the rest of my body in the shower, taking no notice of the crusty bits. I'd have to spend an hour with a tweezer picking it off otherwise (ouch!) and then an hour later it's back anyway.

So im pretty happy
I'll try not to pick though lol
