So something very weird has happened that I wanted to share with you all.
Yesterday I joined a Facebook group specifically for multiple pregnancies. I was prompted to answer a few questions and then was asked to send a picture of me holding my scans showing twins. Never had that before but thought it seemed proactive etc.
Anyway, only today have they blocked a girl who has been on there months saying she is expecting twins. Posed a pic today of her clearly holding two dolls with their faces naked by a blanket (so oh the off chance they are real it wasn’t safe anyway). The admin were on it and blocked her after checking things out. Turns out this girl had her son taken off her last year due to concerns over her health and inability to demonstrate she could care for him. Looks like mental health issues were then, or are now, a huge factor. Her posts were very ‘attention’ seeking (the admin and others screenshot a few to explain their action) - the girl is clearly not stable and it’s a shame but also a bit scary.
Don’t get me wrong because my heart goes out to anyone with mental health issues and I hope they get the help they want. The thing is the admin were monitoring her as she was almost stalking other mothers-to-be and trying to befriend them. There seems a concern she was ‘after’ someone’s child after losing hers. And apparently this is not uncommon on these pages, especially for multiples! It’s mostly Americans on the page and this young woman is American too.
Scares me, to be honest. The fact someone maintained a lie for so long to befriend pregnant women. So be safe. Stay vigilant and lock down your social media and if people don’t seem legit, stay away. Wow.

The chance is very slim it would be that sinister. But its happened a bit over in the states. Which is just messed up!

Yeah, you can get some crazy people on any type of forum or group. My last pregnancy a woman joined the group i was on and claimed she was giving birth early (during tri 2) and describing the baby (which allegedly died) etc. All made up but it really disturbed a lot of us, obviously. I try to post as little about my children on social media as possible, did you know 50% of paedophiles use photos from social media? They can take an innocent picture and add someone doing something lewd to the scene...and then you have risked your little baby being some perverts 'favourite'. Always keep your privacy settings on high and never give away your movements day by day! The amount of people who declare to the world they are off on holiday for example...not a good idea!

Got my 20 week scan today, I'm a bit nervous as I don't really feel the baby move so hoping I have a anterior placenta like the midwife thinks I have as it would explain it and not something bad. Still trying to stay team yellow . I will update later on. X

Really well. I have a anterior placenta like the midwife said . We are still team yellow but after she told us to look away when she was looking down below we both heard her say on at least 3 different times him and his so don't know if it's and boy or sometimes people just say him like they might do to a dog lol
that's strange to use a gender, normally a professional would say 'baby's leg/ baby's tummy' etc rather than him/his. Seeing as she knew you didnt want to know i would guess she was just saying it in a habit way?

I think it probably was habit , she was on the older side lol but it just seemed strange that she only was saying it after she told us to look away and not before
