May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

Aww thats lovely CJ!

Had a good, but quiet day here. Eldest was a bit under the weather which was a shame for her, baby was in fine form. Hubby and I both rather sleep deprived....house is a state , honestly i dont know how anyone with a mobile baby keeps a tidy home....! will attempt to tidy a bit today.....

I was such an emotional mess haha!

Sorry to hear your eldest is sick! Hope she is better soon. Hope you and hubby catch up with sleep soon Hun. And I know right? I say to hubby all the time the house will be a mess (he is very tidy) and to prepare himself mentally haha.

All the best, Liz xx

Not feeling great today. I think I have a touch of my daughters illness, and she's still unwell. We fly to my parents for 3 nights tomorrow so hopefully we will both feel better tomorrow. Hoping my littlest will be ok on the flight as last time we flew when he was 6 months he screamed all the way up and down, I guess the air pressure hurt! Trying to hold him on my lap for an hour will be interesting as well, he's just not a lap baby he's such a wriggle! It will be even more of a challenge when we have two little ones!
Pregnancy wise feeling more movements sporadically. Achey around my sacrum but i dont know if thats general discomfort from being under the weather.

sorry I’ve not posted for a while but I have been reading and seeing how you are all doing xx we had our 20 week scan today and we are having a girl!!!! Xximage.jpg

Congratulations on a girl, onion.
My 20 week scan is today. Feeling slightly nervous.

Congrats, onion!

Let us know how you get on Stargirl xx

Scan went really well apart from baby didn't want his photo taken again. Every scan we have the pictures are rubbish! But he's still a boy lol and looks great! I've got an anterior placenter too which I suspected.

Happy New year ladies! I don’t know about you but I’ll probably be in bed before 12pm

Happy new year everone , this year we are having our babies ! I made it until midnight , well I had to really as we have a dog who needs calming down because of the fireworks and we didn't want her waking up Emily .

I was up til midnight with a crying baby! Not my plan for NYE! Have been sick with a horrible cold the whole time I was at my parents. Didnt help their house was FREEZING! It was 15 degrees in the bedrooms and every time i got up to sort the baby out it brought on a coughing and sneezing fit! Trying to explain that 15 degrees is really too cold for a baby and sick people to sleep and they were just like, "Well, how warm do you need it, I just put on a hat when i had a cold".......old people eh!!

also i'm suddenly feeling like my belly is bursting....baby must have had a growth spurt....

Yes, the weight of my tummy seems so much more, I’m 23+1 and I was reading that the baby will double in weight over the next 5 weeks! I can’t imagine how heavy I’m going to feel at 9 months. This is my first pregnancy and I have so much more respect for mothers

I'm struggling too especially with my SPD I'm having to go to bed early as I'm finding it very hard to walk up and down stairs for loo and can hear my bones grinding and cracking, Willow is very low can tell with her kicks so that's not helping me :-(

I’ve been diagnosed with SPD too, I was referred for a physio session at the hospital but they basically just told me about the importance of pelvic floor exercises and good posture. They reassured me that the pain isn’t causing any permenant damage and it will go away when the baby is born, and they told me to avoid certain movements like opening my legs too wide when getting out the car and turning over in bed, they also said to limit standing for too long, sitting for too long and walking up and down stairs too often etc, but it’s hard to avoid all those things and still try to live a normal life.

Just a few more months to go to suffer I just hope it doesn't cause any problems with labour, yes it is hard to not do those things especially if you need a wee every 5 mins and don't have a downstairs loo I try and walk about but sometimes my legs lock and I can't move them it made me cry other night and paracetamol doesn't touch it my doctor told. Me I could have co codamols but there's a chance it could harm baby so I'm not risking hurting her now he's said that, do you struggle to sleep? It wakes me up a lot and I struggle to get comfortable xx

we have a downstairs loo but not an upstairs one which is good for the day time but not so good for nights having to go all the way down half asleep! I'm glad i havent got SPD (so far!) this time but i do remember the pain so i feel for you both. My last pregnancy i could barely lift my feet to walk it was awful.

My doctor just phoned me he wants me in at 10:30 to discuss further treatment xx

Sleeping is difficult, I’m ok for the first few hours but then I wake up needing to turn over and my hips just hurt more and more as the night goes on and I end up having to turn over every half an hour which is agony. I hope your doctor has some further treatments for you that will help, mine suggested hydrotherapy so I’m trying to go swimming a couple times a week

He's signed me off work now till my maternity finishes he's said it will only get worse, he's said physio won't help, he's said to try lavender oil and try and do pelvic floor excercises, my blood pressure and pulse rate was high but that could be due to pain xx

Oh no holli, you take care of yourself and try not to sit in one place for too long, as I've found in the past with my back . Try to keep as mobile as you can so your joints don't cease up.

Sorry some if you are suffering with aches and pains , I only get little niggles with my hips in bed turning over to the other side stops mine. I lay with 2 microfibre cushions I have done for years with my back condition and they also cushion my tummy so I'm sure that has helped me in pregnancy too.
