***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Middle for me too tasha!

Babygros/onesies/sleepsuits are all the same thing really and what they are in most when small. Well i know i like babies looking like babies and not so keen on outfits when teeny etc :)

I've just been going through my newborn stuff.

I've got:
4 x long sleeve vests
6 x short sleeve vests
9 x sleepsuits

Is that enough do you think? I've got a few up to 1 month bits, and loads of 0-3 bits.

Thanks :) see the term long sleeved vest just seems all wrong, vests don't have sleeves ?!? Haha I'm thinking i should now see term vest as just meansing like a Bottom layer??

I would say that enough to get you started mayflower as once babies here people will buy clothes as presents plus you could alway pop to get some more if you find your short. My little boy went into 0-3 within a couple of weeks, if not a week as he was a bigger baby. I might get a pack of the baby milk just incase and keep it in the boot of the car nearer the time just incase as don't want to be struggling to feed and have nothing else for them. Xxx

Check with your hospital re milk as i know if you plan to bottle.feed you bring your own but if BF doesn't go too great they will help with milk etc they wont let baby starve. I wouldn't take milk with me(i didn't last time) so it doesn't give me a way out or easy option etc. But with twins im not sure what to do my love. xx

Yes pretty much lol!

My baby will be living in a vest and sleep suit for the day and night (depending on temperature) for the first few weeks, then she's got a couple of soft dresses, leggings and t-shirts.

I've bought no outfits under 3-6 months this time. I dressed my son in outfits from day one but wish I'd kept him in sleep suits at the beginning for comfort and ease of changing him so going to keep these two in sleep suits for first few weeks like you mayflower. Although im looking forward to dressing them in tights with dresses when they're bigger.
That's what I did last time button, I really want to give it a good go so font want an easy way out not sure whether to take a couple of little bottles and pump if im stuck and they're struggling to feed as a back up. I don't think I will have a problem breastfeeding as long as I have some support if they do struggle to latch, hopefully they won't and as you say the hospital would probably have a couple of the ready milk bottle as they wouldn't let baby starve xxx

Yes Elliot I have knitted alot of squares, and I am alittle worried about the putting together bit!

On the proactive side of things I have completed cleared and cleaned the kitchen, lounge and bathroom and steam cleaned the lot (my new best friend the steam cleaner) and have a skip in the drive way ready for the barn clear out tomorrow!!!! OMG does it feel good to have got somewhere with it all.

Still not brought anything for baby but I finish work in 20 days so will do all of that when I am off!

Very productive! And your abc square looks good! I'm jealous I need to work on my skill. OH going away from tomorrow for 10 days so maybe that's my chance to knit my little heart out

Ladies what kind of coat are you planning to take for baby? I'm thinking a pram suit will be too warm for May?

I haven't got any coats or jackets for baby yet, I was just going to put a cardigan over the top of a sleep suit and then a blanket? It just depends on the weather doesn't it.

Morning all :)

Jessie, I think we'll take a pram suit, and a blanket...and use whatever depending on the weather.

I very much doubt it'll be above 15 degrees here is May.

Yes jessiecat we are officially all back together now!!!

Not long to go now, it is all quite scary.

Has anyone else been having really strange dreams?

Now you've thrown pram suit into the mix haha how or does that differ from a sleep suit?

And yeah I think all us May mums are back together today :)

Pram suits are like a a thicker sleep suit that you put on and use like a coat for baby to keep them warm when going out Elliott. It goes over babies vest and sleep suit usually hun.
Im also unsure what to take I have some bought just incase for cold days but packed a couple of cardigans and blankets in my bag. Will pop them in the spare bag for my oh to bring in just in case xxx

Cardi and blanket here i did the same with my son who was born on sept he only was outside for a minute from hosp to car to house etc

Thanks :) I know these probably seem like silly questions but I figure bet I ask and Ireally appreciate your help xxx

Phew, glad you're thinking along a similar line as me. I suddenly wondered if I'd been a bit naive!

Kind of panicked this morning. It's now March. Which means only 2 months to go...
