***March 2020 mummies!***

Eeeeek how exciting @Niknaknoo! Have you told you son he might have a special present this year??

Hope you and connie are doing well @Nattles33?? Cant help with the blood thinners I'm afraid but I remember being really itchy for a few weeks after #1 arrived. Midwife called it PUPPS I think and said it would go away on it's own - unhelpful but it did. Hopefully yours is an actual reaction to the injections and they can give you something to soothe it!

Just catching up on all the messages.

Hopefully there will be a few more babies soon <3

Cant believe our little Connie is 10 days old already.

Have any of you ladies had to inject yourself with blood thinners after a c section/ labour?
Ive come out in an awful rash all over my body and think it would be due to the injections. Got drs appointment at 4pm as irs so red, itchy and is everywhere!

Just haf midwife over to remove stitches. Shes said the stitch is nice and neat. I havent looked at it yet:x.

Ive attached pics of my rash if anyone has had this before...its even on my fuff :help:

What’s a fuff??? Like your private part loool I ask because I’ve only ever heard my mother call it that!!!

@Summerwine i am booked for a sweep on Thursday

@Nattles33 wow 10 days old that’s gone very quickly, how are you feeling other than sore.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to be the last to have my baby, but excited for everyone who Has a date.

He’s been saying the whole way that she’s his birthday present this year! Spooky!

sorry @Nattles33 cant help I’m afraid! But hope you are both doing well otherwise!

sorry @Clairexx89 i remember the feeling well watching everyone have their babies and you still waiting. It’s tough but baby will be in your arms soon , and totally worth the wait.

Oh wow! What are the odds of that @Niknaknoo - how exciting! Not long now.

Blood pressure was still high after being monitored. 6th episode of reduced movements (again!!). I was reviewed by another consultant. I’ve been given tablets to lower blood pressure. No sign of pre eclampsia which is really good. I have my induction booked for next Tuesday (17th March) and I was given a sweep today. Another sweep booked for Friday. But midwife said I’m around 1-2cm dilated and she will be surprised if this doesn’t bring on labour.

Feeling a little nervous. But so hoping I go into natural labour rather than an induction. I am exhausted. Been at the hospital since 2pm! Going to try and bounce on my ball tonight to hopefully bring his head down further. Fingers crossed!

However, did anyone experience period like cramps since the sweep ?

Yeah I've had cramping on and off since my first sweep friday! Hope yours is labour starting @Sunrise212, it sounds like it's all going in the right direction!

I’m very shocked too! She wasn’t expecting it and she said the sweep was easy to do which is good. I’ve been getting cramps since last night and a few tightenings the past hour or so. But I’m not building my hopes up just yet! Trying to keep as active as I can so the head is more engaged! Hope you and Connie are doing okay. How’s the rash today? Did you get any answers from your doctor? X

Thanks ladies! Fingers crossed here and feeling positive (or perhaps that's just hopeful!!) Hows everyone else doing? X

Baby is still comfy! Cramps and tightenings have died down now so don’t think he’ll be here today. Back at hospital tomorrow morning for another sweep.

Any news ? @Summerwine @Niknaknoo xx

@Sunrise212 im not sure if anything actually works, I’ve been bouncing on my exercise ball, walking, constantly cleaning for weeks now, baby went from engaged to not.

I have a midwife appointment today, so we will see if it’s engaged, I’m not feeling hopeful as bump is really high, I think I will be offered a sweep today but we will see. I will be 41 weeks tomorrow.

Anyone have any tips for getting baby more engaged? Xx
Walk walk walk!! I’m just heading to the Trafford centre for a walk around and get some last little bits (mostly for me!) my last outing with a bump!
Feel like she knows it’s time and she’s moving down further now, getting a proper waddle on now! She’s not going to appear before induction tomorrow though but let’s hope it works quickly and I don’t need the drip !!!

So frustrating! I’ve been bouncing on my ball and trying to keep active as possible.

You must be fed up now. Let us know how your appointment goes xx

So so exciting @Niknaknoo can’t believe you’re getting induced tomorrow. I think I’ll go for a walk this afternoon. Midwife said he’s almost fully engaged but not quite. Wishing you all the luck for tomorrow!

Any recommendations for a breast pump? I’ve not bought one yet but I need to this week. I’ve seen lots of good reviews from the elvie breast pump but not sure as it’s over £200!! Xx

@Niknaknoo have fun at the Trafford centre.

@Sunrise212 i have bought the tommee tipper breast pump, the Elvie one looks amazing but I couldn’t justify the price, I’ve already bought quite a lot of pricy things, and don’t know if I’ll be able to breastfeed. I’ve since read that you shouldn’t pump until your milk supply is established or you end up producing too much as your body thinks you have twins, so might be worth waiting to buy a pump.
