Eeee to think this time last week i was in hospital waiting on gel number 2 to kick in...which didn't end up happening and i recieved gel number 3 at 6am.

So surreal to thini she was still in my tummy then but now is fast asleep next to me

Hope all you ladies who are due/overdue are holding on okay. I bet you're so fed uo now but hopefully not long now

Has everyone started maternity leave now? Xx

@Clairexx89 my girl hasn’t engaged yet!! But she’s right down. Apparently 2nd babies tend not to engage until labour starts. Hope you don’t have to wait until the 18th. I’ve had a couple of hot curries now and nothing but absolutely worth a try!

cold seems to be clearing up at least, so fx my body decides it’s ready for labour. Growth scan and consultant appointment on Tuesday, kinda hoping I don’t make it to them as that’s probably when I’ll get an induction date.

officially on mat leave from Monday but no more work now!

I was back at the hospital yet again yesterday for reduced movements. 5th time now. We have a plan in place. I have to go to the hospital every day for monitoring of the baby until my growth scan on Monday and then a Tuesday I have a consultant appointment. I was told last night I will be induced, however they like to try and wait for the 39 week mark. If baby isn’t growing then I will ask to be induced earlier as it’s making me worry so much.

I was so drained last night after being at the hospital for nearly 5 hours. Came home and napped. Then just didn’t feel myself. I just want my baby here and for him to be safe now. Counting the days until my scan.

Can’t believe it’s been a week @Nattles33 since you were induced! Time sure flies.

Happy maternity leave @Niknaknoo enjoy some rest before baby comes!

Oh bless you. I dont blame you for pushing it now, follow your instincts on this one. Better to have a preemie you can see feeding and growing that the worry that you dont know what's going on in there!

No real signs - I dont think. I've had an upset tummy for a few days but with a toddler that could just as easily be a bug as my body preparing! I've been losing my mucus plug on and off since 34 weeks but I know it reforms if you lose it too early so who knows? I did have some awful pains yesterday afternoon when out for a walk, midwife said baby is almost fully engaged now so maybe he was doing his final wiggle down. I live in hope!

Sweep this morning though so for me ladies! (Also, fingers crossed for a nice gentle midwife, not an overenthusiastic newbie!)

Midwife was lovely, 2cm (pretty standard if you've already had a baby she said) and found babies head easily but she didnt think I felt 'ready' for labour

@Sunrise212 keep pushing, but hopefully baby will make his appearance soon without intervention.

I’ve been nesting this morning, so much for resting before baby comes, got all the pram/car seat/play mats all washed and on the line this morning! We really will be baby ready when it’s all dry / well aired!

@Sunrise212 you need to just keep going with your instinct and make the hospital aware of how worried you.

What size was baby last time you had a scan?
The consultants are normally pretty good and again just let them know your concerns.
Im sure everything will be fine but i bet Monday and Tuesday feel like a lifetime away. Xx

Glad the sweep went ok @Summerwine

I will, I was so stressed yesterday because of it all. Which obviously doesn’t help! Trying to be calm and positive.

@Nattles33 He was 6lb 1 on my last scan and I was 36+2. First scan I had was 30 weeks and he was 3lbs 14oz. So he hasn’t put on a huge amount and dropped on the chart.

I will keep pushing and let them know my concerns. Definitely just want Monday and Tuesday to hurry. Just so I get to see him again and know whether he has grown much since the last scan!

Monitoring went well yesterday. Baby was good. Back again today at 3pm.

Finding it difficult to get more than an hour of sleep at a time and I’m up constantly through the night. Getting so fed up. But got to keep plodding on! 2 days to go before my final growth scan.

It must be exhausting going to the hospital every day!

no more signs here, nesting is in full flow though! I’ve had the 8th in my head which is tomorrow, so we shall see what happens!! Most people guessing at dates have gone for a day this week. Just hoping it’s not Friday 13th!!!

No signs here, I’m just taking it day by day, the 2 dates I didn’t want were the 29th and the 13th. But we will see.

Felt a little depressed this morning, not knowing when it will happen, have managed to pull myself around, think we are going for a walk this afternoon.

No signs here either... due to be induced in 4 days now I've a second sweep booked for monday but I'm not sure if I'll go ahead with it yet... I was in a lot of pain all day after yesterday's and my LB only has a half day in nursery Monday and I dont want our last day 'just the 2 of us' to be me laid up on the sofa feeling guilty! We did have a nice morning swimming today though which I was grateful for.

You must be shattered @Sunrise212 if you're not sleeping on top of all those hospital visits!

Probably right @Niknaknoo, I thought a boy in the beginning as I was craving salty, but have no idea now.

cleaned the whole house yesterday in the hope it would bring it on and constantly sat on my exercise ball but nothing seems to be happening

Did you have your first baby early @Niknaknoo ? Hopefully not too much longer now!

It’s so exhausting going up the hospital every day. We live half an hours drive away so it’s not like it’s 5 minutes down the road! But baby is doing ok. Now for my scan tomorrow at 3pm. Wondering what his weight is going to be and whether he’s growing properly.
