*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Thanks everyone I've had another since last post!

I wonder if any of us will have a mothers day baby??

-Nonabean exciting my midwife has not said if she thinks I'll make my due date!

I thought 4/5ths meant that the head is just in the pelvis according to this chart? Midwife said I was 2/5ths engaged and then at my last appoinment she said I was 3/5ths and I felt down about it? I'm confused as to how it all works lol.

I think they can write it as so many 1/5ths engaged or so many 1/5ths palpable (how much they can feel) Mine record palpable which is how much of the head they can feel.

It really doesn't mean a lot as they can bob in and out of the pelvis just hours before labour so don't get too hung up on the numbers. X

Ooh exciting for you ladies that are engaged! My little monkey isn't yet :( xxx

Oh MissBX I have no idea now!
A few weeks ago like you I was 2/5 and now 3/5 engaged! Not that it is particularly relevant as she's coming out via the sunroof!

Do you know I was thinking, us March mummies are a very small little group here compared to say Feb mummies. It's cute. Obviously not a lot of sexy time was had during the summer months hehe xx

Yeah, they can say palpable or engaged. My first was 12 days late, but this pregnancy has been totally different.

No sexy time for me, as I'm single, but omg, I get mega horny when I'm pregnant, so if I did have a partner I'd be well up for it. I was the same with Alexander and my ex thought having pregnant sex was gross!! Lol.

I thought it very unusual for midwife to comment on when baby may come, as they don't normally incase they get your hopes up.
Fingers crossed she's right though, as I only have another 11.5 weeks off work.

Xx

We have dtd a few times but not many, I also had bleeding at the beginning so we didn't want to risk it and I also just haven't felt like it! The few times that we have has been in the last few weeks, I had a sudden surge a couple of weeks ago but it's gone now and only doing it to try and bring on labour!

I've been 3/5 engaged at last 2 appointments, hoping for more on Thursday as I'm now overdue! Hospital appointment next Monday to discuss induction if he is still squatting.

How exciting!

My little ratbag wasn't engaged at all at 38 weeks, but we have the midwife again tomorrow for my 40 week appointment so I'm hoping he'll at least be on his way down! If the pains and niggles I've been getting are anything to go by, I think he'll be partly engaged. If he isn't I might just cry hahaha.

I can't wait to ask her about my itchy bump and see if there's anything available to soothe it.

I had a mw appointment today. Asked if I can get a sweep at some point, but apparently they are not allowed to do one before 40 weeks, and I'm not likely to be allowed to go that far :( she will speak to my consultant about it though.

Also tried getting medication for thrush over the counter, but was told that they can't sell it to pregnant women. Bummer! I don't drive, so seeing a GP is so complicated! I need to sort this thrush out ASAP, as no good having it when in labour :(

Hope u get sorted I love..

My little rascal is free also.. was it obvious when ur babys started to engage. . Apart from the bump lowering but is the pressure below really noticeable. I dont think caoimhe engaged till labour last time.
Having a mothers day baby would be lovely wouldnt it.. hope some of uz ladies due around then have baby that day.. :)

Aww I wouldn't worry about how far baby is engaged pre labour as they can bob in and out, both mine never engaged at all until I was in labour. I'm not even sure why they bother to check specifically except to make sure baby is not breech, these measurements can be quite daunting when they appear specific.

A Mother's Day baby would be awesome! I have my birthday on the 12th, Mother's Day on the 15th and day of induction on the 16th. It's gonna be an expensive week for hubby!!

I have a feeling I'll have a mothers day baby lol. He'd be 10 days late!

Really hoping I'll have a baby BY mothers day though :)

Happy fully cooked day TTCno2 :)
Is anyone else finding it hard to sleep at night? The past two nights I haven't fallen asleep before 1:30 am, just wondered if this was my body's way of preparing for not sleeping :( xx

Happy full term ladies! X

I was awake 2-3 am last night, but that's because my toddler is not well and was coughing and asking for tissues all the time :( I just gave up and watched some YouTube videos. Apart from that I'm always so tired nowadays, I can sleep anywhere and any time I think :)

I slept really well the night before last but last night I was plagued with weird dreams and a very itchy belly that kept me awake and sore most of the night so I didn't sleep well at all :( It's very hit and miss for me at the moment. Today will be a nap day I think!

Due date tomorrow! Come along baby, show your face!

Come on baby Podpie, don't make your mummy wait too long!

Happy fully cooked day ladies!
Cakey I did go through a period like that a few weeks ago but now at the stage I could sleep anytime!
Going to have a lazy day today I think, had a big walk round shops yesterday so I'm pretty tired!

Happy fully cooked day TTC and cakey!

Hope you manage to get some naps today Podpie. I'm sleeping ok at the moment which is good as naps are rare with a toddler! Lovely day here so might go and take a stroll along the sea front with my little boy in a minute! X

I had a shocking nights sleep. Just couldnt settle down...was really restless and kept getting all hot and bothered. When I eventually nodded off I had some truly weird dreams....this little lady had better hurry up!!!

Not having good sleep is rubbish :( I'm feeling for all the ladies who didn't have good nights.

I tried to have a nap, but got woken up by a phone call from a nurse, asking when she should schedule a jab for my toddler. We discussed this 3 times already, I told her I'll call when his cold has cleared up, but she keeps calling again and again! Great, thanks for ruining my nap. Ugh.
