Guys just realised the July thread now has people due 30th July so August thread will be starting soon and we will start heading to tri 2! So exciting! Baby has her scan tomorrow, mine is week tomorrow. Has anyone else got theirs coming soon?? Xx

Okay I don't know if I'm being silly or what or if this is muscle spasms or my brain being silly at midnight. But right now lying in bed I keep feeling strange fluttering like tiny butterflies in my lower left abdomen. Is this movement?? Or is it just gas haha! It feels different but I don't know if I'm just being hopeful. This is my first so I don't have a clue as I never got this far along before.

I’d say it’s likely to be gas. I was reading my diary last night from last time and I didn’t start feeling movement til about 19/20 weeks.

I really hope I have my scan this side of Christmas. I guess they have to really as I’ll be 14 weeks on Christmas and they’ll have to do if before then. I have my booking in appointment next Wednesday.

Smithybaby how far are you again? You can actually feel movement known as quickening from around 13ish weeks give or take a week. The only thing is as first time mums the movement is very rarely picked up as it's so slight and often just feels like gas lol. The more babies you have the more you know what to look out for and the earlier you feel the quickening.

I've had weird popping/fluttering type feeling the last few days but I've put it down to gas as I'm not convinced it's movement.

I feel so sick at the thought of the scan today. The last time I had a dating scan it went horribly wrong and I'm worried that my sickness has gone, I've not been sick for 2-3 days. I'm not going to be able to relax at all, thank god its an early scan.

I've just found out I'm O- from the blood test I had done. It sounds like it shouldn't make much difference apart from a few extra injections later in the pregnancy and since we are thinking of only having 1 baby anyway the risks of 2nd pregnancy don't really apply. Does anyone know anything else that I should know?

Hi abi I’m tri hoping but just to let you know I’m A- and this is my third. It’s the first time that they have been able to do a blood test in pregnancy that tells you the blood group of the baby. If baby is also - you don’t need to have the anti d injections. If baby is positive you will need one at 30 weeks and after birth. Hope that helps a bit x

Stay away from google! I worked myself up so much first time round and really it is nothing bad as long as they know. I’m hoping this one will be - to but my other two are positive so not much hope lol. You’ll have a blood test about 16 weeks to determine the blood group. But if it is positive honestly the same injections aren’t that bad and you don’t even notice the one after birth! Your right tho even if something happened it won’t affect this pregnancy it would be future ones that would have to be monitored closely xx

I'm back ladies and baby is doing well! Measuring 13wks and was given a EDD of 30th May! But both my boys were late so 100%this baby will be a June baby. He/she was not happy at being spied on lol kept moving and hiding! The sonographer said everything looks good. Nuchal fold is measuring 1.2mm so relatively small but will have to wait for the combined blood results.

Got my flu jab today also, got my mum-to-be bounty pack, and was given my notes to take home. It all feels very real now and I'm extremely happy and over the moon

Also forgot to mention, I am feeling movement. Baby did a massive 360 when try to get a good view and 100% felt it just near above pubic bone and felt like soft flutters. Wouldnt have felt it if I was up and about and don't feel any of the other smaller movements. But definitely felt that big movement. So it is possible to feel baby early on xx

That's lovely news Baby congrats.
Thanks I was starting to feel a bit stupid to be honest. I know what gas feels like and this was just different and unless the way gas feels changes during pregnancy I'm may just be imagining it. I'm over 11 weeks and I hadn't felt it before or since but it was the strangest sensation like butterflies or a light tapping feeling in the centre just above my pubic bone. I was lying there thinking about work and I nearly shot out of bed. But as the other ladies have said I know I'm not very far along so maybe it is all in my head.

That's amazing baby, so great you can feel movement. They do say it gets easier to feel the more children you've had. I'm looking forward to when I feel something too but hopefully I can clear the sickness first.

I have done my first pregnancy shopping today. I got an amazing pregnancy pillow to help me sleep on my side since I'm a very active sleeper and won't stay in one place without support. I still wake up on my front some days and I can't imagine that will be good when I get a bit bigger. I also bought some maternity jeans today. I know that's insane as I'm not even 10 weeks yet but they feel amazing. All my other jeans pressed on my stomach and made me feel even sicker. I know I won't be wearing them at the end of the pregnancy but I'm happy to have something comfy to wear for now and I'll probably want them again a few weeks after birth when my very pregnant clothes don't fit but neither does anything else.

Thread crashing to say Smithy- I absolutely felt my last 3 babies that early on. My son I felt at 8 weeks, I know that’s “impossible” but who could ever say what’s actually possible when it comes to our bodies and our extreme and inexplicable connection to our babies? How could anyone know what’s truly possible? My point is: I absolutely felt my babies that early, and I bet you are, too.

So glad your scan went well baby, and good luck to anyone else who has scans coming. I have an nhs scan on Wednesday, but I’ll only be 9.5 weeks so will no doubt have to go back for nt tests and bloods.
Ohh it’d be so nice to feel movement at 11/12 weeks. Can’t believe we’re all nearly second trimester. Now I look back it’s gone so quick. Hopefully Wednesday rolls around quick for me!
Not been in much the last few days as I thought I’d better drag my ass into work haha!
