***June 2019 Mummies***

Wow Baby its not long now for you! I hope your appointment goes well. I've noticed the kinds of movement I feel have changed, more slithering type feelings rather than the big movements I had been feeling. I have another appointment Thursday, I suspect I will be told he's running out of space! My friend's first son was born at 2.6kg, I have a feeling mine will be about that at my next scan.

Smithy I'm glad you got sorted with work, as you say you and baby just don't need the stress right now. I haven't had any BH yet I don't think. Sometimes, especially when I'm walking things feel a bit funny but I can't say for sure it isn't just needing the loo!

I had a bit of a bad morning with DH this morning. He wanted to go back to the UK in July for his sister's engagement party. He didn't seem to understand why it upset me so much until I asked him if he would like to look after a newborn with no help while recovering from birth. Especially as if I go overdue it could potentially mean a 3 week old baby and I so won't be ready to do this alone! And it would mean spending a load of money and losing some of the time he planned to take paternity leave. After an hour of being very emotional I think he finally got it. Though I felt like texting him Game of Thrones spoilers in revenge...but I'm not that mean!

Thanks Baby.3 I feel like I can get on top of things in my life this week and try and get my head straight. So exciting that you are getting close now!

Abi I completely understand. I don't think I would be too happy if my OH decided to take a trip at that time either. Things are so unexpected at the moment that you just don't know when baby will arrive and you're quite right you don't want him to miss that first bit.
I did have a chuckle at the GoT spoiler comment though. It's taking all my willpower not to watch without my OH at the moment as it's on NOWTV. We are watching it tonight.

Glad everything was okay Baby.

Smithy enjoy a week off resting, sounds like you need it.

Oh no abi I’d be exactly the same! I think because men aren’t going through it they don’t see it like we do which is very annoying!

Have a good day ladies x

Hiya Ladies,
Glad you got checked out Smithy and Baby - we getting so near to full term now.

Abi completely understand, it’s amazing how men think at times.

I had midwife this morning and blood pressure gone down and going stick to the 29th for section - at least it be half term- just hoping baby doesn’t grow too massive over the next few weeks x

Haha abi, had to laugh the temptation to send him spoilers! I think men don't see the bigger picture, like yep baby will be here but it's not a case of popping him/her out and normal life resumes. Takes time to heal for starters, then time to adjust to new routines etc. I nearly had a melt down at hubby when he said he could only take 5 days paternity, my first thought was how in earth am I gonna do this?! Luckily his boss loves him and is giving him an extra week :)

Caz, glad your BP came down, and that there sticking to the original date for the section, so close now!!

I'm back from my mammoth shopping trip. I've spent waaaay too much but wee are now prepared for her arrival. Got all clothes up to 3 months, though didn't bother getting newborn. Got all my stuff for hospital bag so I can finally get round to packing that... Not tonight though, its game of thrones night! I think the only major things I'm lacking is baby monitors and a breast pump, but not going to need those for the first month or so. Feeling a whole heap more organised now, and it feels good to be buying things. I've put it off for so long, makes everything seem more real :)

Xxx

Just had midwife and...... the little minx is breach lol I flipping knew she'd turned lol
Everything else is fine except I'm wiped out. Utterly wiped.

Oh no marvellous!! What a little madam she is haha. Hands and knees for you, get cleaning those kitchen floors, see if you can't pursuade her to flip back round xx

Can’t believe some of you have definite baby dates! Bet your so excited! The countdown really is on now!

Is anyone else finding the urge to pee stressful? I imagine it’s how babies laying but a good few times a day now I’ll literally have to go 3-4 times in a row. I’ll pee & then a few mins later can feel pressure on my bladder again & need to go again! It can literally be just a dribble but I have to go or it feels like I’ll burst!

Linnett I’ve been having that recently, so annoying cos I’ll of literally just been for a wee then want to go again few minutes later!!

It’s so frustrating isn’t it?! Don’t get me wrong I feel a little guilty being annoyed by it as it obviously shows babies moving well but I’ve been 4 times in the last 15 minutes! I find I dread going anywhere now incase I need to pee 50 times! Even things like walking the dog or taking the kids to school I worry about & that’s even with going to the loo the second I leave the house. I wouldn’t dare walk to get the kids anymore (15-20 minute walk) because I’d wet myself! And it’s such an uncomfortable feeling. Usually you can put it off & wait but you can’t when you have a babies head pushing on your bladder!

Thanks baby, don’t blame you for buying 0-3 mths - I got a feeling even at nearly 39 weeks mine will be good size too- I’ve mainly got up to 1mth and 0-3mths.

I just need to get a couple cardigans or little jacket now, haven’t seen many around.

I’m the same with toilet so annoying especially every time I go out- must go at least 5 times before leaving the house.

Sounds like you are getting sorted now Baby! Exciting times!

Marvellous, go upside down off sofas. Really helped me turn my second baby who was transverse till 37 weeks.

I can’t wee sitting down on toilet anymore, I have to squat over the toilet and lean forward. Maybe try doing this to fully empty bladder a bit more? Sometimes I also stand up turn around and try again and little more comes out. Feel bit of wally but really helps.

Kids in bed... house all tidied.... game of thrones time!!! Xx

Wow that was a good game of thrones! Baby wasn’t going crazy in my tummy! Must have picked up on my adrenaline. Haha. Xx

I saw the consultant this morning and I'm booked in for the 28th May to have my stitch removed xx

Must feel good to have a date now unicorn! Not long to go. Does it work out how you wanted so you have finished work? X

Morning ladies

Caz I've done the same, bought mainly upto 1 month and 0-3 months. If by some chance she happens to be dainty then we'll buy her newborn when she arrives....but I highly doubt that will happen. Also, do you have a primark near you? I bought 3 cardigans from there the other day, in pink, white and yellow, think they where about £4 or £5 each. And I bought a little reversible jacket from George yesterday.

Re: toilet trips... I must see my toilet at least 3 or 4 times a night now. And often I can go pee, then 5 mins later be busting for a pee again... And I mean busting and pee like a race horse. How that is even possible when I only pee'd 5 mins before I do not know :/

Unicorn, was the 28th May your expected day to have stitch out? How far along will you be? Theoretically you and caz could have your babies at the same time!

Watched game of thrones last night... Oh my gosh!!! The best episode to date. Though I don't know how they are going to top that for the rest of the series :/

Had a rubbish night last night. Its getting to the point where I now dread bed time :( within 30 mins of being in bed my hips or back begin to kill and I seriously struggle to get comfy. To top it off last night my little boy had me up several times in the night as he was poorly. He's off school today, though thanks to calpol he seems full of beans! Means no chance of a cheeky nap!

Hope everyone else had a better night and has a good day xx

Ohh Unicorn that's not long! Must be strange having a date in mind. I feel some days he is about to pop out and others like he is nesting in there for the next 5.5 weeks. My friend came round yesterday and said I had dropped but I'm not so convinced. I know I am carrying lower than I was though and he is head down just wasn't engaged last week.

Game of Thrones was sooo good. Got a little emotional not gonna lie! Interesting to see how they tie everything up and end things.

My urge to pee has been replaced with lightening crotch or pushes on my cervix it feels like. Still get up at night to wee bit nowhere near the urges I was getting luckily. Also producing lots of colostrum now which keeps scaring me lol.

I get those lightening crotch pains too! I think I must be baby, messing around down there. I remember getting them with my last pregnancy, and I was sure I'd go into labour early but it never happened lol. I'm kinda hoping I hit 37-38 weeks when there classed as term and she'll want to arrive early... But that is just wishful thinking lol.

Question, what is everyone washing there baby clothes etc in? Does it have to be non-bio or can I wash in my normal stuff? I've forgotten lol

Ohhh good question Baby.3 I've been wondering the same thing about washing powder!

Baby, I bought a special sensitive washing liquid for all the baby stuff I bought. But then I like nice floral washing liquid for my own clothes and I think it might be too strong for baby's skin.
