***June 2019 Mummies***

Fab news Chrissi, at least you can relax knowing everything is okay.
Smcx I wish I was on MAT leave now, the thought of going back to work tomorrow is killing me, there's so much going on there right now it's so stressful. I could do with the last 6 weeks at home to get my act together and de-stress. I woke up in pain this morning and everything just feels so full. I needed a wee, there was gas and baby was wriggling. Doesn't feel like there is room for anything else at all!

That's great News Chrissi, and such a cute picture!
Enjoy maternity leave Smcx,
Smithy, I hope you feel a bit better soon, hopefully work will be less stressful for yyou this week!

Aw that’s a cute scan pic Chrissi!

Oh no Smithy doesn’t sound like your having a great time at the moment. Hope work gets less stressful for you x

Typical Sunday morning and I’m awake at half 7, better than the half 6 wake up last Sunday. Body definitely must be getting ready for when is baby here.

Enjoy your mat leave scmx! I’ve still got 3 weeks at work to go but feel like the finish line is close!

What a lovely photo Chrissi. Can really see the baby’s features. :) and enjoy your break away. Xx

Lovely scan pic Chrissi, it might been worth having private scan as the measurements are likely to be more accurate, my nhs scan was very rushed - enjoy your break away.

Hope your enjoying maternity leave smcx! Everyone must be getting close to finishing work now.

We went out for day to the Zoo yesterday couple hours drive away - lots of walking up and down hills but it was nice to do something with the girls- going take it easy today as I need my blood pressure to go down as if it’s still high tomorrow they did say I might need to go into hospital x

I've still got 4 weeks left in work Smithy and I feel like I could really do without it as well! I woke up this morning with really bad cramp, which has died down a bit now but has left me feeling really sore, particularly when baby moves at all! I've got a consultant appointment in the morning so I'm hoping to get a date to have the stitch removed then, so at least I'll have something to work towards!
I hope your blood pressure is ok tomorrow Caz and you don't have to go into hospital xx

Thank you, Hope tomorrow goes well for you and you get your date! how many weeks are you now? Your doing really well to get to this stage with having the stitch xx

Bit of a side question but do any ladies here have risk of preeclampsia? Im gp led because of this and I've noticed the last two days headaches, a sore bump/abdomen and peeing less than usual. No swelling or high blood pressure. Should I get it checked?

Yeah, I'm really pleased, just really feeling it now! I think the cramp must be my uterus maxing out and I'm getting severe twinges in my cervix all the time now, although at the last scan little one had her arms above her head so I don't think that we helping  I'm 33 weeks tomorrow so should get a date for 4 weeks time, just after the bank holiday at the end of May, so I'm going to finish work the Friday before! There's no way in going into work after having the stitch removed even if she doesn't come at that point! Xx

Sorry Smithy, I know nothing about preeclampsia, my blood pressure is always really low. Hopefully someone else will be able to advise but sounds like it might be worth giving the hospital a ring? Xx

Hope everyone is doing well. I did go in to hospital regarding my symptoms and luckily not preeclampsia although they have put me on watch with it. They said it sounds like I'm stressed to the eyeballs. Think that sounds about right. How's everyone's Sunday gone? Xx

Glad it was all ok, always best to get checked and put mind at ease.

Had a nice Sunday. Spent morning sorting out the cupboard in the study which will eventually be the baby’s room- we are very unorganised still! Then carvery with some of my family and girls went on their bikes. Fed up of my family constantly telling me how pale and ill I look! What do they expect with working, being heavily pregnant and looking after a 5 and 3 year old! I actually fee quite good at moment and midwife checked my iron again the other day as she was concerned I was so pale but it was fine. :) Xx

Glad everything was okay Smithy, try to relax abit now. Easier said than done though haha

Oh no bubbles I think people expect we should all just have a pregnancy glow haha!

I had a big emotional breakdown this morning. Think being on mat leave now and knowing money’s going to change and stuff is scaring me. Also think it was a bunch of emotions from the last week just came out and I just couldn’t stop crying. But I’m fine now haha. Going in work tomorrow to get my hair and nails done and then come Tuesday it’ll really feel real that I’m now off x

Aww Bubbles, that's so annoying. I'm not sure why people think it's okay to say whatever to pregnant ladies. Especially when my hormones set me off at the drop of a hat. Who knows what reaction they're going to get from me!
Smcx I know what you mean it is scary but you will muddle through somehow. I worry about it all the time and cry all the time. Don't stress or you will end up a loony toon like me. My emotional state has completely affected my physical one and I never thought I would do that to myself. Just enjoy your time off now and prepare for your gorgeous baby x

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a rough time Smithy, is there anything which would help do you think? Could you finish work earlier? Xx

I have been advised to take a week off by self certifying and see how I go from there - the funny thing about this is the idea of calling tomorrow and telling them also sets off stress and anxiety. So ridiculous isn't it?

No, it's not ridiculous at all, with all the stress you are under as well as pregnancy hormones it is completely understandable you're feeling this way, but hopefully a bit of time off will give you chance to relax and re-evaluate things, it's you and your baby which are important now xx

Def not ridiculous smithy. I would be exactly same, I hate calling in sick. But on end it’s done this morning at least you get a week to relax. Sounds like you need it. Hopefully give you the peace and energy to finish the rest of the time you have at work. Xx

Thanks ladies. It's done though I don't think they were best pleased but I have to do what's best for me and the baby.
Kept waking in fhe night with braxton hicks as it was so sore. Anyone else had this? It's happened the last two nights really.
Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

Morning ladies,

Smithy sorry to hear your not feeling so great. Glad to hear that you've rang work to tell them you won't be in. Your priority now is baby and you, although I'd still feel bad for calling in too. Hope the time off allows you to re-energise.

Hope everyone esle is OK. Will catch up properly on the chat later on.

Don't know if I told you but I ended up in hospital in Friday for reduced fetal movement. She's been so inactive since thursday that I called the unit. They were really good and had me straight in. Anyway, as soon as I got on the monitor the little madam woke up and went mental!! Midwife said its usually the case, they hate the sound of the static apparently lol. She's been pretty active since, but been told any more episodes and to go straight back in. Got my 36 week consultant appointment this week to discuss mode of delivery!! Ekk! I'm so ready to meet her now. I also need to mention my itchy legs, they are driving me insane. If its not hips aching, it's restless legs or now itching.. Feels like prickles all over my legs but mainly on a night time. Takes me forever to get to sleep, I have 5 hours last night with a toilet break inbetween :( suppose it's just getting me use to broken, sleepless nights haha.

Doing the last bit of baby shopping today, mainly stuff for my hospital bag. Then I'll actually pack it, I've been saying this for weeks haha
