***June 2019 Mummies***

I think I lost a bit of plug the other day Marvellous. Not enough to worry me for too long, I think I was pushing a bit too hard on the loo! But it has spurred me on to get everything organised just in case I have an early baby. After my bleed I was told to take it day by day but now everyone seems to think I'm no more likely to have an early baby than anyone else except for the fact that he's big. It is getting close now. I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore even though I know I have been really quite lucky with this pregnancy being able to be quite active and normal. If I hadn't been signed off work 8 weeks ago I'm sure it would have sped by!

Baby, I found mine was very quiet overnight too. I'm sure its when I've had a big dinner and my stomach is a bit bloated and yucky. He's back kicking me in the ribs now, hope yours is too!

Good luck with your section date Caz. I wish I had a date to count down to for sure. I remember talking to a friend who was getting one and saying 'it must be getting close now' and she said 'next Thursday 10am'. That's pretty convenient!

Love your timeline photo Linnett.

I’m organised but I still don’t know if I want to breast feed or not but I have all my bottles and stuff but there still packed in the box

I officially finish for maternity tomorrow eek!! I’m so ready for it but sad at the same time I won’t be seeing any of my clients every week. Baby’s currently kicking away as I type hes so active in the day

Good luck getting your date today Caz atleast you’ll then have a date to countdown too

Have a good day ladies x

Yeah it just means body getting more prepared but think it was an *oh crap I'm having a baby soon* moment lol.
Shel be late like the others lol I'm really fed up today. In an awful mood. One of the mum's at school was like wow youv really bloomed, are you enjoying pregnancy.... No I'm not she can get out as Iv had enough. I told my husband off because he brought the wrong rennies. I am just not a people person today lol

Oh marvellous!!! Hopefully she stays put a little while longer yet. I've read that the mucus plug can come away and partially grow back, just means the cervix is shifting a little? I lost mine just before labour with my first, but didn't lose it until i was actually in labour with my second. So, generally it means nothing....but still something to be excited about! I keep looking at the toilet paper to see if there's evidence of things moving, but theres never anything there!

Ok, question....what do you buy a soon to be 6 year old for his birthday. He's asked for Pokemon stuff, he's obsessed. So we've bought him some characters to go with his vast amount of other characters. I don't just want to buy him Pokemon stuff, so any ideas greatly recieved! My brain has gone to mush!

It’s our sons 5th birthday on Tuesday baby & he wanted a basketball net so we’ve got him a free standing one. Didn’t want to get one fixed to the wall as it’s be too high & it’d probably just end up over fences & then your limited to keeping it in one place. It’s an adjustable one so it can grow with him. Some Lego as he loves Lego, a new Lego Xbox game & hubbies just ordered him a electric quad! Boys & their toys ah! He’ll love it but I think hubbies even more excited than my son will be lol

This made me laugh !! We all have rubbish days! Although I must say I’m still enjoying being pregnant, I don’t feel I’ve had enough yet. I think I’m embracing this pregnancy more because I know from my other 2 children how quick times goes & how they very quickly go from being in your tummy to being almost 9 so I’m making the most of it lol.

I keep thinking oh 9 weeks is still a while and then I see my little timeline/signature thing on here & it says it’s only 61 days & it sounds so much sooner! I’m still holding out for the baby show in Birmingham to get things. It’ll be Sod’s law though I go there & get nothing and will then need to rush about in a panic buying things else where haha

Ohhh exciting stuff, can't believe how quick it's all going. I've found I am just so weepy and stressed which is just so unlike me but I've had so much going on in work and at home that it feels like it's piling up on me sometimes. I can't wait til baby is here so I feel more like myself again although I'm not quite ready. Give it a few weeks and hopefully I will feel more ready xx

I'm pretty neurotic so I'm just about ready, just getting through the washing now! I'm also feeling really uncomfortable so wanted to get everything done as soon as possible so I can hopefully get some rest towards the end and just enjoy baby when she's here without having to worry about needing to get anything etc.
I had a growth scan this afternoon and it looks like baby is starting to drop down the centiles - she was around the 48th 4 weeks ago and is more like the 20th now! I'm not too worried as I think they're just soo inaccurate and baby was not cooperative at all so they struggled to get a measurement of her head, which will have reduced accuracy even more but I'm pretty sure our little boy hadn't started dropping down by now so I'm really hoping she has picked back up a bit by the next one in 4 weeks! They estimate she's about 4lb 3.
She is head down though so that's really positive as she's likely to not have room to turn now xx

That's great news about baby being head down unicorn! As you say they are getting to big to turn much now.

Smithy I've been crying over nothing too. Silly things like I wanted to sleep but I also wanted to drink some water! It comes and goes though because I actually managed to have a mature conversation about finances with DH but then cried about something so silly a few hours later!

I went to see the avengers movie this evening. No spoilers but it was so good I didn't leave to pee in the whole 3 hour movie! It was loud though which got baby kicking like mad after a fairly quiet day up to that point.

I got a few more of my birth supplies delivered today. Witch Hazel cooling pads and dermoplast numbing spray. As well as a compression thingy for my hips that promises to squeeze my hips back to their pre-pregnancy size after birth. We shall see if any of them make any difference!

Iv never heard of getting your hips back to pre pregnancy size.... Iv been robbed all these years lol

Oh well I wear my hippo hips with mummy pride now. Haha

FYI ladies, just read this article on the baby centre website so thought I’d pass it on -

“Perineal massage once or twice a week in the last weeks of pregnancy is more effective than every day. But it doesn't appear to make any difference to your chance of episiotomy if you've already given birth vaginally before.”

So it’s only really worth it if your a first time mum & not if you had babies before..

My blood pressure was high today which is really unusual for me- got to get it checked on Monday. I got my c section date for 29th May, I be be almost 39 weeks and was meant to have baby before 38 weeks but it was a different consultant today and baby is already 5lbs by scan results so going have a chat with the midwife about it.

Hope your all having a good start to the weekend x

New to the forum. Am expecting a little girl on the 23rd June. Will be 32 weeks on Sunday. Her name will be Lily-Rose. I also have twin boys who will be 5 on the 11th June xx

Abi, I'm so excited and sad to see endgame! Must have been good to hold your pee that long haha! Also kind of devastated that game of thrones is coming to an end. I love that show so much!
Linnett, that's really interesting, wonder why it's more effective every other day. Worth looking into for me as it's my first.
I will be 34 weeks Sunday eek! Gonna start washing clothes and freezing large batches of food to get my act together. Our home will finally be decorated and renovated in the next few weeks. Literally cannot wait as it's been the longest process. Never ever buy a house with cavity wall insulation. It ruined our home and it's taken about 8 months to get things back to normal.

Hello Mrs young, welcome to June mummies!

Hi MrsYoung, wow, you're going to have your hands full! I hope you're pregnancy is going well? Xx

Hi ladies, wow that all took forever to catch up on! Hi Mrs Young.

so last night my boobs were definitely leaking! My other half looked disgusted haha!

Not long for those of you with sections booked! It must seem so close now.
I was in hospital yesterday for monitoring as baby although still above the 90th centile is now showing static growth, so I have to go in every 48hrs until they can get me a scan which isn’t until a week Tuesday! Plus going away for a short break with my partner and daughter Monday, so the midwives gave me the most disapproving look! We’ve paid for a private growth scan today for peace of mind before we go. I’ll be back in hospital on Sunday at some point when they’re not too busy for monitoring.
I still want to go away, it’s only to Dorset, not like I can’t access a hospital if needed while I’m away. It’s our last trip spending time together before baby arrives. It’s almost like I’m destined to not have any time outside the four walls of my house before this baby comes! Only 31 weeks today!

There was a lady in the cubicle next door who was 25 weeks and going to deliver her baby at some point, getting transferred to a bigger hospital. I can’t imagine how the poor woman must be feeling.

Smithy have you seen the spritz for bitz on expert midwife? And everyone else! Lots of good reviews on Facebook. It’s supposed to help with healing after the birth! It’s about £20 but the stinging I had last time I’m fully prepared to spend that lol!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Oh wow, 48hrs is really frequent Chrissi, it's a shame they can't scan you for that long! I hope your scan today goes well and reassures you too be able to have a nice break xx

Hope you're scan goes well Chrissi. Time away will improve your overall wellbeing, just try to relax and like you said it's not like you are far from a hospital.
Wow, 25 weeks is early. I still freak at the thought he could come now, I can't imagine that early.
I was actually really lucky and won spritz for bits and no harm nipple balm at a baby show as well as a newborn baby photo shoot. I ended up buying the perineal oil to complete the set but your right it is pricey. Spritz for bits was always on my baby shower list anyway with its reviews. Maybe do that? My friends and family said they would rather buy something I needed or wanted than any old thing and that was something I felt I needed and wanted haha xx

Hope your scan goes well chrissi.

Well I’ve now officially finished for maternity leave!!
Got absolutely spoilt with gifts off my lovely work girls and clients. It’s going to be so nice now to just chill and do things at my own pace before baby comes

Currently sat on my ball and baby’s having a right wriggle around

Thanks ladies Growth scan went well, everything looks as it should, measuring a week ahead! And supposedly 4lb 2oz! Back in hospital for monitoring tomorrow, and can shove my private scan notes in their face. The sonographer said they’re supposed to scan within 72 hrs which I didn’t know.
Sciatica has kicked in today, just in time for our family holiday to Dorset on Monday. Never mind Atleast baby is fit and well!

I ordered a breast pump from eBay last week, £110 for Medela swing double pump. All that’s wrong is the box had been tampered with all the bits were still sealed. Thought it was a bargain as cheapest I’ve seen is £160-£170.

Going to start on my hospital bag and washing after our little break. Really need to pull my finger out. Hope everyone is ok.

Here’s little man today poking his tongue out!
