*** June 2015 Mummies ***

I have spoken to him. He has been trying to be extra nice lately but he's still him and I think that's the problem. I just wish it was easier to change things, I wish I could just run away!

Oh buggy, have you tried your gp? So sorry my lovely.

Charlie, all looks amazing!

Coletteypie, your rugby ball image had me giggling, that is exactly what I feel I look like. Mine is stuck in transverse, look at all the lovely empty space just ready for him to stretch around in. Silly baby! I really really hope he moves soon..

Buggy I completely get where you're coming from. I've been depressed and anxious throughout this pregnancy and don't feel I've had much help.
There's a group called Rightsteps here that you can refer yourself to that are NHS therapists. I don't know if you have that where you live?
feel free to contact me if you need a chat about anything Xx

Are you close to your mum buggy? Or could you confide in a close friend? Sorry to hear you are struggling so much. The extra work of having a little one already and being pregnant with another might be adding to you stress levels. It's not uncommon to feel you are so down - so don't feel like you are alone in feeling that way. Pregnancy is so hard physically and emotionally. Sending you hugs.

Rachyroo - lol yes, I was the same last night. Why would they choose tranverse!? I have no idea what baby is up to now. But isn't in normal position. Kicks are all over... Eeek!

Ps are water wipes just like more sensitive baby wipes!? Have never heard of them!

Coleyttypie- yes pretty much just more natural form of baby wipes. Feel the same to use but meant to be as kind on skin as water and cotton wool. I have only bought the one box of 8 for when baby is very little and will then move onto normal baby wipes when they run out.

Buggy- I really feel for you. I know at times like this it feels like there is no one to help but keep trying and don't give up. There is help out there you just have to find it. Maybe try calling a volunteer service like samaritans and see if they have any links to services local to you. X

I'm not close with family, don't see them too much and I certainly wouldn't want them knowing too much about what's going on. Don't really have any close friends either, moved county three times so never really stayed in touch too well with anyone. Just more casual friends really.

Anything I've tried I have to attend while hubby is at work, he hasn't got any holiday left because he has to take two weeks for his paternity leave and I don't have anyone to look after DD. Not really the sort of thing I can take her too.

Most of the time I just feel despondent which is okay, in that I'm not bothered about getting help or fixing anything. It's just if anything bad happens that really sets me off and I just wish I didn't exist but only if it were that simple!

Oh buggy, sorry to hear your feeling like this. I think it's disgusting that Drs can ignore situations like this. I hope there is something like what Emma said near you so you can go and talk it out with someone who is professional. We are all here anytime you want to vent or get anything at all off your chest xx

Well my knuckles have been sore last 2 days and tonight they are starting to bruise and my fingers are swollen up! I've been called sausage fingers all night in work :( I've literally not stopped for a week so think my body is warning me to slow down! Xx

Totally crap day at work. Had a client meeting this afternoon, same client that's been giving us trouble all week and they were supposed to give us lunch when we got there. No lunch!! Queue a pregnant lady not eating from 9am! Anyway the meeting was awful, total bitch from hell - she was like Meryl Streeps character in The Devil Meets Prada! My boss left his coat behind and didn't go back to get it as he couldn't face seeing them again, that's how bad it was!

Anyway, I was obviously looking very tired when I got on the train home. Didn't get a seat and one of the guys standing near me disappeared and then came back to tell me that he'd found me a seat further down and had asked the lady to move her bags. I'm eternally grateful to him and don't feel I got to say thank you as I was on the phone when it was all happening! x

Hi girls - found i've been so busy this week. Work is crazy doing my mat leave handover and between ante natal classes and getting house ready have barely had time to sit down and do some chit chatting on here!

Charlie - your hands sound so bad!!! I read your thread on it! That just sounds so sore - does your midwife know about it?? Is it def the carpe tunnel syndrome? I didn't realise you could have swelling with that.

Belfa - your day sounded awful :(! I do hate work meetings like that - and can't believe they didn't feed you. I hope you didn't go all day without food?! I would have just announced that I was off for some nourishment, being pregnant and all. LOL and i love that your boss left his coat and didn't go back! That's hilarious! And that was dead nice of that guy to get you a seat on the train :), love when strangers are super nice! Tho any seated passengers nearby should clearly have spotted you needed a seat and given theirs up! But lovely of that man :)

My wee feet were looking a bit chubby last night. Think I am starting to get some mild swelling, tho think that is normal and not something to necessarily worry about. However a lady I work with has worried me cos I mentioned I am really thirsty quite often (and wake up in the middle of the night thirsty) - and said it could be a symptom of GD! But i'm sure a few of you on here have said you are more thirsty than normal!?

Hope everyones well. Im just getting back to normality after a horrible easter. Think I was exhausted from all the upset and drama involving my sister. Glad to be back home and back to organising for baby, feel like ive neglected that side of things recently. Weather is supposed to be nice here for a few days so going to make a start on my washing. Have so much to do between, sheets, clothes, blankets and seat covers..I'll feel happier making a start on it.

For some reason I keep thinking baby will come before due date, I dont know why. Wait to u see, I'll probably go overdue now for saying that!

Buggy hope u get some additional help from ur mw or gp, u can always talk to us in here about how ur feeling x

coletteypie I can be thirsty at times but mayb mention it to your mw if your worried. I havent had much swelling yet but I did have alot of swelling in my last pregnancy. Its was in middle of a heatwave so my feet were literally overspilling my sandals....sexy stuff lol. Pregnancy and heat are not a good mix x

Carpal tunnel is caused by swelling in your wrist so yeah I think u can get swelling. It's not nice. I've been on bed rest since 6pm last night due to slightly raised BP and headaches. Feeling a bit more human, just a bit groggy.

I also have the dry mouth and needing to drink more but I drink plenty. Seen the midwife just a week ago and all ok. See her again a week today too. For a feeling the way I have been this week I'll end up going in to get checked out before then.

Lovely for the man to go find you a seat belfa :) xx

Its so hard when people tell you - oh maybe you should get that checked, could be xyz! All these self apointed doctors who make you worry about stuff - when you already have enough to worry about!

Awww here's hoping! Hope you are getting back to normal after that horrible weekend. I can't wait to start mat leave and get baby clothes all washed :)! Does everyone wash baby clothes (or planning to?). I would never wash new clothes for me! How about bed sheets etc? Just wash it all?

Charlie that is so rubbish - and has it just come out of nowhere? I don't remember you mentioning about the swelling much before this week? You def need to take easy.

I think some mild swelling and being thirsty are normal parts of pregnancy, I think it's only if gets extreme/severe it's a sign of a problem.

Thanks all. Don't want to be a constant source of doom and gloom though. I think I will feel better once baby has arrived, hoping it's sooner rather than later. I cancelled my 'wellbeing' appointment today. Seems a waste of time.

I felt a bit better yesterday as had physio for my PGP and they seemed to be thorough and helpful and gave me some exercises to try. Also got to go back next week. Had a nice day out in the sun with DD, she was actually very well behaved. Plus I've got a scan tomorrow which is always something to look forward to!

Yes I'm very thirsty, especially at night. I'm a prime candidate for GD but nothing's been said to me about it from blood and urine results. My legs are sometimes a bit swollen, not really to look at but I can tell as I can't get my wellie boots on properly at night and my socks leave a dent - plus there's that weird purple swollen bit at my knees.

I had pinched a wagon wheel (remember them?) from my works biscuit tin so I had eaten that on the train on the way there and on the way back remembered I had a dairy milk in my bag that my boss had bought from a cafe as he needed to use their loo so we shared that. Made my husband drive past the chippy on the way home!! x

Coletteypie I wash everything, even new stuff. As this is my second im using a lot of stuff from before so they need a good freshen up. Plus I love the smell of fresh laundry, all part of the nesting for me.
And dont worry about what others say, if thats the only symptom u have I wouldnt worry. Just mention it next time but the mw will probably just say thats normal. Ive always drunk a lot so its norm for me.

What does everyone take for heartburn? Its got so much worse, feel like im dying! Gaviscon not touching it at all any more. Asked for something off gp but dont know what im going to get yet x

Here's hoping - my GP gave me Peptac. Is thicker than Gaviscon and seems to help keep the acid down a bit better. I mean I still have to watch what I eat and drink, but find it does help. I take the peppermint one. Can't handle aniseed - boke!

Hey ladies, just popped on while I'm at work. Feeling shattered today and feel a bit puffy too. Think its the heat. My fingers defo look puffy and my feet are just throbbing. Really annoying as loads of the top dogs at my work today. Trying to keep my head down and hide away lol.

Its peptac im taking coletteypie, couldnt remember its name so just call it gaviscon. I take the peppermint too as the aniseed just reminded me of sambuka shots, boke is right lol. Although the aniseed seems to be the more popular choice, I keep getting asked if im sure I want peppermint. Its no longer working for me now, the heartburn has just seemed to intensify and become more persistent in the last week. Its keeping me up at night now despite sleeping propped up. Fed up of it, wondered was there anything else to take?
