*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Glad you had a nice babyshower Colletteypie

I need a work rant :( I've got my maternity cover starting next week to shadow me for a day each week until I go. She sounds like a right jobsworth already. I'm dreading it. Already being made to feel like she's going to a better job than me. My boss said I need to go back part time due to workload (which I only want to do part time anyway) but then he announced that he'll probably keep this new woman on after I get back! I really don't want to go back, I already hate it and she seems like she'll be really competitive and picking at everything I do which will make a bad job worse. Need to try and find something else when I'm on leave so I don't have to go back!

Mine was lovely too but I was exhausted by 5pm! We have been spoilt too! Told everyone not to buy anything but we got sooo much stuff! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428924368.587270.jpg

That's not even all of it!

I am attempting to clear our nursery today as it's been a bit of a storage room! Been at it nearly 3 hours now! But getting there!! Xx

Oh look at all that stuff!! You both sound like you've got great friends and family! How many were at your baby shower? I fear I would only have my work colleagues, a couple of friends and the grannies to be....

Buggy I'd be like that too although I'm actively encouraging my work to hire someone better so I can do a different job!

Work is not good today, I have a client meeting on Wednesday and they've called in with some really unrealistic demands today so I'll be flat out until the meeting (which is a full day!).

Sorry this is totally TMI but does anyone have braxton hicks along with a bowel movement? I went to the loo and throught I was going in to labour!! My feels so heavy / crampy still and I'm struggling to walk x

Hey ladies, I haven't on here recently due to stuff going on in my family, sister is having a marriage breakdown so I have been helping her. Its been an awful week for all of us so only getting back to normality a bit now. Its completely distracted me from my pregnancy a bit, so im completely behind on my organising. Hope to refocus my attention on baby and getting things prepared but find it hard, all I can think about is my poor sister.

Any way hope to get caught up with everyone soon. Xx

Welcome back Heres Hoping, sorry to hear about your sister. Hopefully she's feeling better now x

I have a fairly large group of girl friends (closer to some than others) - and had close family plus some of my mums best friends and my husband's mum and aunt etc - so was about 25 in total! My mum's house was full to the brim with ladies! It was a really lovely experience, I recommend having one. Just made me feel like it was really happening. People will buy you gifts no matter what - and is kinda like the biggest Christmas ever, receiving them in one big go! I got a couple of doublers (beautiful unisex sets from Jasper Conran @ Debenhams - wee white suits/grows/vest with bunnies & stars), but have gift receipts so can change for other things/sizes. But i just love everything we got, couldn't believe how generous everyone was.

Aw here's hoping that is such a shame, sorry to hear :(. Hope you are doing okay.

Hmmm Belfa no not had that. I've sometimes needed to pee, and that helped stop Braxton Hicks. Are you uncomfy/struggling to walk cos of BH or cos of pelvis pain?

What a day! Had two weeks off for easter, went back today and am now soooo achey!! Found it really tough which was unexpected! Having three weeks til mat leave suddenly feels like a life time!!! Hope everyone's doing ok! X

Wow, amazing showers Collettey and Charlie!

Karenb I am feeling really achey too today, around my hips every time I get up. Feel like a proper old lady!! Also peeing like nobodies business...really feeling properly pregnant now. Hope bump doesn't get too heavy or Im in for a painful couple of months.

My naughty baby is transverse which explains why I have no movement high up. Legs on one side, head on the other and bum by my belly button. He feels so cramped up in there, I wish he would turn, there is tonnes of space further up for him!

Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone else gets a bloody nose when they blow it? Sorry for TMI! It's not a nose bleed just a bit of blood really. Wouldn't be bothered but it's every time I blow!

Glad you both had nice baby showers.

Hope your feeling ok belfa, on my app I read if your bowel movements are like diaorreah with regular contractions worth getting checked out.

I'm also feeling really achey today, I have to keep leaning on my bouncy ball... No position is helping really.

Emmababy I have that, part of pregnancy rhinitis I've had since about week 8, try Vaseline up nose, worst case you might be able to get a spray off gp although I don't use mine as much as prescribed, prob when I'm having a bad day of it.

Had MW today, went well, she thinks baby is head down but not 100%, bump bang on considering I was measuring 2 weeks behind. It feels really real now as she mentioned doing my birth plan after my classes in couple of weeks. Really twingey again today, almost sharp like, but always more achey after MW from prodding my tummy.

Aaaahh thanks lucyboo, I bet that's what it is then. just another lovely thing to put up with in pregnancy

Hope everyone is well. I've got 6 weeks left at work and it can't come quick enough. There's so much conflict, back biting and bitching going on at the moment it's a nightmare!

Was doing some nice stretches last night - kneeling on all 4's to give baby a bit of room, and the cheeky monkey used the opportunity to move from the head down position they have always been in to transverse!!! I couldn't believe it. My tummy looked like a rugby ball last night! And baby wasn't up for moving back! So i've had a stressful sleep, kept waking up to feel if they had moved back - and now i totally can't tell what way they are lying. Am getting kicks and punches all over the place. Grrrr! That teaches me!

Well I've had a productive morning again :) I've built our cot bed at last!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429009766.859567.jpg
Also built his changing unit, this was a last min buy as my OH doesn't get much paternity so I may be home alone on the odd day after section. It's a bath on wheels so I can stand and bath, wheel it to the sink and it has a tube to drain it! Plus storage for all the little bits needed for changing and baths :) I love it! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429009890.108227.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429009921.030869.jpg would definitely recommend to anyone having a section :) xx

Emma my nose does that too. I blow it when I'm in the shower as, having to do the horses every day, my nose gets a lot of dust and all through pregnancy I have blown out dried blood.

Colettey that's exactly why I've stayed away from that! Totally paranoid he'll go the wrong way again. Hope your baby goes back to head down - they've done it before so fingers crossed.

Charlie I love the look of that and it's so organised! I see you have different types of wipes in there, I haven't bought any yet as I see people mention "water wipes" and I have no idea what that is? x

I seem to be getting kicks up by my ribs again.....so i think baby has moved back. But i'm not 100% sure what is going on in there. What a drama - wee cheeky thing taking liberties :)! Won't be doing any of those stretches again!

Charlie that is a great wee unit :)!

Belfa- water wipes are what they say really. Just water and a little bit of fruit extract so meant to be the kindest on sensitive newborn skin. I have bought a box for when out after baby is first born as not always easy to get hold of water to use cotton wool.

If you get some I would try amazon as that is where I found them cheapest. To buy individually they are about £2.50 a packet. X

I'm so fed up, I know I'm depressed, I actually hate my life right now. I don't even want to be with my husband any more. I tried going to the docs for help but they were useless, don't have the money to go private, I don't know what to do.

Sorry to be a black cloud :(

:( sorry Buggy

Could you call your midwife? I'm sure there's support she could give you as they have to react to pre natal depression - not sure if that's what you would be classed as or if it's out and out depression but I'm sure she must be able to help.

Thanks babyscotcher, I haven't seen / heard of them before so I'll try amazon as I have no idea what I'm looking for in the shops! x

No, I've spoken to her before but she said she can't do anything because it's not really pregnancy related

Aww buggy.. There must be someone who can help, have you told your husband how you feel or if not a friend??. Can you ask for a different doctor. My SIL had pre natal depression with her first.. I'm not supposed to know she had it at all.

Belfa I stocked up on a few packs of water wipes as boots had them for £1.50 a while back.

Got the babygro's on the washing line.. So cute, these are ones for my hospital bag. The rest I'll do when I finish work. Had a serious case of nesting too, steam cleaned the oven and vacuumed my car out as wanna get it set up in couple of weeks with isofix and cat seat.

Charlie, hubby pointed those units out to me, they won't really fit in our nursery. They look fab.
