*** June 2015 Mummies ***

I'm not sure those stretch mark creams do anything, I was really good at using them with DD and I still got loads!

Belfa its strong vibrations i feel too. I got a lot of stretch marks with my first pregnancy they are over my stomach and thighs, I haven't seen a lot of new ones so far but that could be due to this being my second pregnancy and my body having been through this before. I have been lazy with oils and creams wish I had the energy to look after myself more just now but I'm so tired by the end of the night and feeling a lot of aches and pains at the moment with pelvic pain and back pain. Lying with a hot water bottle as we speak soothing my backache x

I just got in to bed and noticed weird patches on the top of my lower legs. It almost looks like I have a rash and the skins breaking but I haven't felt a thing!

Here's a picture encase anyone else has the same (this is my leg, not a milk bottle ;))

I have had stretch marks appeared on the back of my hips about 8 weeks ago. They haven't gotten any worse luckily. I'm sure I'm gonna get lots more!! I don't bother with creams hardly ever, I mainly put the cream on where I already have them to reduce the redness.

I don't have those patches but I've had really itchy legs for last 3 days!! Xx

I think with stretch marks your either going to get them or not... I have them under my boobs and that's all, my mum never had any so there's the hope I'll pick up that off her too lol..done well so far.

Gawd my arm still aches from yesterday... Why didn't I stop her doing it in my left arm?? Bubba kicking away lik crazy this morning... We are off to see family over Easter in Norfolk? Anyone else got Plans? Xx

We've got some family visiting us then we're visiting others on Sunday, just for the day.

I've got a lot of crafts and an egg hunt planned for DD on Friday.

I didn't get any stretch marks until about 32 weeks with my first, I thought I wasn't going to get any then all of a sudden they started appearing. Some people are lucky though and don't get any.

Hi ladies sorry I've been quiet for a while! Hope everyone's pregnancies are going well!
It's safe to say I'm knackered allllll the time! This ones really taken it out of me! Midwife has prescribed me iron tablets as my iron levels are low so hopefully I'll have some more energy soon! Not looking forward to the side effects though! Lol! Xx

Very random... But anyone else feel like they're wrestling a crocodile when turning over in night with pregnancy pillow?? I can't lie on one side all night and it's a mission to turn the thing over lol!!

I know what you mean Karen, it is hard work turning over, even without the pillow, but they are massive too!

Slept a bit better last night though, only got up once for the loo

Haha. I'm a bit like that with the pillow too.. I woke up the other night laying with my head and pillow on bedside table lol...

Haha yes Karen, the other morning I woke up and I must have turned in my sleep without bringing all of my pillow, it was completely wrapped around me where the top bit had stayed where it was but I'd brought the bottom bit with me in between my knees. I had no idea what was going on when I woke up lol!

Finally got round to writing a baby list, and it's really not as big as I thought it would be. (Although as we saw yesterday I am not the most clued up of mums to be!) But it makes what I thought was still a mammoth task not seem quite so mammoth-like anymore, which is good!

And I had my first stretch-mark scare this morning :/ The top of my bump on both sides like this / \. I oiled them up before work this morning and I can't really see them anymore, so will just have to wait and see I guess. It's my mum's fault - spoke to her on the phone last night and she said "no stretch marks, I hope! You had better have been oiling up!". She's jinxed me!! xx

Definitely every night! Going for a wee is a mission as well to get unhooked lol x

My mum didn't get a single one and she carried a fibroid so was huge she looked like she carried twins! I think I got the ones on my hips when I lost nearly half a stone in tri 2.

I slept terrible last night. Turning over is painful for me now. I can literally feel like he's squashed in there now and it's so uncomfortable! Really can't see him staying in much longer!

I just wanted to ask your advice on the dreaded question of weight gain. My weight was 134 lbs at 4 weeks preg. I'm 5'8 so quite tall. My family felt I was too skinny but I was happy at that weight. I haven't been weighing myself at all throughout this pregnancy but did so yesterday and I'm now 170lbs :| I don't know what to make of this. When I entered my weight on an online pregnancy weight tracker this morning it's saying i should be this weight at full term. Woops. I have been eating what I feel like and to be honest not too healthily and have been doing no exercise due to having pelvic pain and generally Feeling achy.
Im going to try and start swimming but it's trying to find the motivation.
Do you ladies think I should start behaving and keep an eye on what I'm eating.

I gained a stone just in first tri! Then lost half a stone but feel like it's piled on fast the last 10 weeks! I've gained just under 2 stone. I'm sure I will gain around another stone if he stays in until my 39 week section.

I wouldn't worry about it, as you have said you may have been too slim so I'm sure it will fall off you once little one arrives. As long as you are healthy I wouldn't worry xx

Is it just me or is anyone else feeling emotional and teary? Maybe im just being hormonal but feeling a bit sad and fed up. Doesnt help that oh is irritating the hell out of me, not feeling very supported.

Seeing mw today but not expecting much, she didnt do v much last time. Hoping she might check position of baby and measure my bump as consultant said they were measuring big at last scan. Dont see consultant for another 4 weeks which seems a long time in pregnancy! x

Thanks Charlie. Hopefully it will steady itself out a bit, I can't wait to have the baby and get out walking. The weather in scotland is never very nice so when June comes I will be out for walks everyday with baby, I loved going daily walks with my first baby, loved pushing the pram and power walking.
My OH has made a few wee comments like aw maybe your pelvis is sore because all the weight your carrying. Now he isn't saying it with malice or anything just stating a point but I inwardly call him a few swear words to myself cause I know I'm like a beached whale just now and very unsightly. X

I don't think that's too much weight at all bubblegum! I haven't weighed myself and I don't want to. Once baby is here I'm hoping to get out and about and will look at my notes maybe 8 weeks after birth to see what my tri 3 weight was and I should be pleasantly surprised - even if it is just because I've lost the weight from the baby and fluid etc and not actually any fat!

I has grand plans of eating better in tri 3 as I have been a bit too greedy through tri 2 but I'm starving at night time now so I don't think that's going to work.

I showed DH my new stretch marks and he was as shocked as I was! They definitely creeped up out of no where.

We've not got a lot planned but are going with my in laws to get nursery furniture tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. We still don't know what their budget is etc though so that might be awkward! x

Maybe the pregnancy app was being a bit unreasonable then :) I did panic when it said this should be my full term weight.
Hope you find nursery furniture that you like Belfa. I'm heading for my whooping cough jag just now then off to work.x

I gained quite a lot in my first pregnancy but I had a big baby, big placenta and a lot of waters so it all went quickly after birth apart from a bit of jelly belly!

I think I'm similar this time, the weight seems all in my belly area, I don't think I've gained much elsewhere but I don't weigh myself.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on what you're eating when pregnant, try not to eat too much rubbish. I do though, I can't help it, I think my depression is making me wseek comfort in food!
