*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Quick question ladies. I'm getting a lot of movements up towards the top right of my belly and around the side. Like under my ribs.

Any idea what position this might mean?

No idea sorry heybaba..

I've been getting more sharp twinges on my left side today really low down.. It gets to the point I have to stop what I'm doing and flinch. Anyone else had this or similar? SIL reckoned baby could be having a stretch, x

I get this too, and would LOVE to know what position baby is in. I googled "baby mapping" and it says if you can feel something hard under your ribs (it's usually one side or the other), if when you push it the lump moves independently then it's the head, but if it makes the whole baby move then it's the bum. I've pushed and poked and prodded with no reaction at all haha! x

Thanks belfa and Lucy
Yeah anti d grrrr not looking forward to that at all remember it oh to well from frost pregnancy lol

I thought it was a huge gap between appointments but from day one with my midwife ive got the well you have done it once before so don't need to see you so often approach from Her
Sad really
I was supposed to have my anti d next week but we're having our house re wired next week so had to move it another week so bank holiday Monday me and my little one are off to stay with family for a few days to get out don't the way of the dust

Heybaba I have no idea about which way baby is either I have most of my kicks and movement ever low down which I think would suggest that she is breach at the moment but I guess she is still quite small so lots of time to move

I'm just looking forward to my midwife appointment on 13th to hear babies heartbeat for first time and get measured for the first time and discuss strep B too
Not so much looking forward to anti d lol x

Babies curl themselves in to some funny positions in the womb so it's not always easy to tell what is where

I spent 6 months in Australia.. If it wasn't for family I would have considered staying... Really appreciated the UK since I've been back though, we have some beautiful places, havent holidayed abroad in four years as love going to the Lake District, Pembrokeshire and other gorgeous places.

I'm in Pembrokeshire, absolutely love living here, it's beautiful. We're the same and have our breaks over here, means our doggie doesn't get left behind lol! We'd miss him too much if we went abroad, sad I know lol xx

Oh lovely! We're going to Fishguard for a week in July when baby will be few weeks old!! It's my MIL's 60th and she booked it before we were pregnant so we'll see how that one goes!! :)

I've read that's head down (fingers crossed that's true!!) x

Oh I hope so!! I used to get a lot of kicks low down but now it's really strong kicks on my side. I can feel and see this large mass on my right so it must be bum or head! Hopefully MW next week will tell me - if he stays put hah!

Heybabya - I get most my kicks up under my ribs and to the side of my tummy and my baby is head down for sure. If I put my hand low on my pubic area and softly press can feel baby's head sometimes. Even my hubby felt it and went oh yeah that's def the head! So wee bum is sticking out usually left or right of my belly button. Feels like a big hard lump lol. And it wriggles a lot! The kicks are usually to either side of the bum - movement from knees/feet. And I get some jabs lower down from the arms.

exact same for me and he is head down. Has been at every scan. No room for him to turn now in my womb either so that's the way he's gonna stay. Not that it matters for my section xx

Oh fab this is exactly what I am feeling! :D Yey!

Hi ladies. Just reading about where everyone is feeling kicks. I have felt no kicks under my ribs yet. All extremely low, and a lot of them feel like jabs in the vagina (sorry only way I could think to word it ) the highest Iv felt is maybe around belly button level. I get a scan at 32 weeks to see if low lying placenta has moved but I have a funny feeling it hasn't and also baby may be breech. Just a guess tho x

I think the positioning of the placenta can effect where you feel the movements too. Hopefully baby is getting in to the right position for when you have your scan x

I've been referred to physio for the pelvic pain now. I am starting to wonder if that is what it is though as it's a weird pain, and kind of in a weird place!

I'm getting really sick of needing a wee every 20 mins and struggling up and down the stairs.

Id definitely be out and about all the time living there :) havent promised we'll go on the Hol but going to try out best and hopefully feel up to it x

I hope the Physio can help you buggy. Won't be a quick fix but if they can show you ways to be comfortable then it will be worthwhile.

The highest movements I get are at belly button level and most of them are more strong vibrations at meant line - like the first movements you feel but much stronger.

Just out the shower and noticed I'm getting really bad stretch marks. I'm so good at putting my creams and oils on too :( x

Aw I think you can feel pelvis pain anywhere and everywhere! So in your lower back, bum, thighs, public area... You name it!!! I'm glad you have been referred. I found the NHS physio okay... Gave some decent advice. I use their sleeping technique which has really helped. But found I needed more help, so have been using a private physio that focuses on exercises. My baby is sitting so low, head down and right into my pelvis. So I need to do exercises to strengthen my pelvic floor and lower abdomen - all these muscles connected by the pelvis. That plus the support belt has totally helped me. I hope you can get some relief cos I was so fed up miserable with it!

Aw belfa that sucks. I have been oiling daily and not got any so far but have felt I've become a lot bigger recently and skin is feeling a lot tighter so is just a matter of time! :-( will all be worth it tho!
