*** June 2015 Mummies ***

God my diet has been awful. I have eaten so much sugar it's awful. Hubby has actually told me off about how much I've had. Do they test for glucose in everyone's urine test does anyone know?

I know what you all mean about our OH's. Mine just doesn't get how I feel sometimes, how I feel when I can't do things etc... I really want him to wear one of those weighted bumps and see how we feel.

Just chilling in our hotel room as couldn't hack spending 3 nights on a futon. Wow I'm 30 weeks today so down to single digit weeks now... Eek!!

As far as I know, they test for glucose every time you do urine sample, same for protein etc

Thanks Karen, they test it so quick with the dipstick. Get an answer in seconds. I do need to try harder otherwise bubba will be born with a sugar rush.

I can't bear the thought of seeing a dietrition- I know HOW to eat healthily but don't find it easy! Easy for them to say you must do this and that... Obviously Id do anything for the health of my baby but I'll be bloody miserable lol!!

Ahhhh all this diabetes chat is horrible. I have developed such a sweet tooth in pregnancy like most of you! My protein tests all been good so far, not sure how I would cope cutting back!! Good luck girls!

Sorry to you other girls struggling with other halves :-(! Is a really stressful time for both us and our guys, but defo their job to support us right now. Hope they get their bums into gear!!

They made me see a dietician cos my BMI was slightly too high when I got pregnant. Was a total waste of time. Like you say. We know how to eat but that's not what our bodies want when pregnant!

Another sugar fan here! I literally have a biscuit when I get up in the morning as I can't last until I get to work for my breakfast!

My midwife gave me me a website for my husband to read, I'll look at my notes and give it to you!x

Not sure I've ever eaten 5 proper portions of fruit and veg in a day, it seems loads!!! And ive just wanted bread and chocolate! I just don't want to be spoken down to by someone telling me I eat a bad diet.. I know I'm not perfect but seen people eat a lot worse!!

I can't eat much fruit veg salad. It's giving me horrible reflux.

Same here...couldn't manage 5 a day. Fruit gives me terrible heartburn esp apples which is what I mostly eat. My diet isnt great, just hope bubs gets the benefits of my pregnacare tabs x

Irritating thing is I went off chocolate for the first 4 months at least and even now I try not to have more than one bit a day. I mainly drink diet drinks as I prefer the taste and dont drink tea or anything with sugar in. I would understand if I had been really naughty.

The only thing I have craved is fruit twist fanta so I do have a
couple of cans of that each week.

With the bank holiday the dept I would need to ring at the hospital are not open now till Tuesday. Very frustrating. X

Oh i'm a bit different then cos I actually eat dead healthy. My heartburn forces me to, but i also just like it. I don't take any vitamin supplements cos I know i am getting enough through diet. Tho was harder in Tri 1, when all i could face eating was carbs, so took the tablets then. Usually I eat at a minimum 5 fruit and veg a day and drink mostly water - i am so thirsty at the moment. If i don't then I actually feel ill. BUT on top of that I have been managing to scoff plenty of chocolate and sweet things. And ice cream...i am addicted to ice cream and all things sweet dairy!!!

Just weighed myself. That's me now put 4kg on....eeek. Is beginning to add up!

4kg?! That's nothing! I've put on 24 pounds so far which is normal for how many weeks I am apparently, it's a teeny bit below the middle line of my chart so defo not over...

Morning lovely ladies! I'm filling my sweet addiction by taking my mum to afternoon tea at a lovely hotel Today. Can't wait for the little sandwiches and sweet treats!

I'm doing that in a couple of weeks with my mum Emma. They are doing an amazing deal at a fairly local hotel. Not gonna be quite the ritz though... Nothing can ever beat that lol x

I've started writing lists for hospital bags today...eeeeekkk! That makes it seem really.
what essential items are you taking ladies? As a first timer I think I'm going to end up going overboard so want ideas on what to take.

Yeah but have prob lost weight cos can't eat the usual carbs and take away treats I would usually allow myself at weekends - it literally makes me sick with hearburn, i just can't do it. Plus no drinking!! So that has prob made me lose weight offset by the gain of baby weight! You're just a wee slim thing Karen, so your body has made you put on more to store up for baba! My BMI was like 26 at my booking in appointment, so my fat stores were a bit more generous :)

Oh em gee...hospital bags. Can't believe i'm 31 weeks....and actually need to consider this stuff!!!!! Husband is wallpapering the nursery today :)! Can't wait to see how pretty it will be!

I went on a hospital bag shop yesterday for me and baby so think I have most things sorted now except need a few more nappies. Just need to buy drinks and snacks nearer the time. I like to be organised.

Been to Ikea today to get some furniture for our bedroom as baby has our old pine furniture. All up now so can move out stuff and start putting baby's stuff away. Can't wait to hang things on little baby hangers.

Anyone doing anything nice over the weekend. X
