*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Girls....word of warning. If u like a particular side to sleep on, get the whooping cough vaccination on the other arm. My arm is in agony today, its came up in a hard sore lump :( the whole muscle is sore, can barely lift my arm. Feeling v sorry for myself but hopefully cookies will help. X

Ahhhh oh no just had mine!! Didn't hurt at all at the time. I got in my right arm thankfully!!! As baby won't even let me sleep on that side anyways - such a diva in there :-)!

Saw GP after nurse. He told me not to see chiropractor or osteopath :-(! So conflicted with what to do. Will go to the physio on tues and see now I get on. I'm feeling sorry for myself too here's hoping! On top of the no walking advice I've now got 'take some paracetamol' as the bonus! Jeso - this is the best of advice you can get from the NHS!!!

Just catching up on one born every minute and crying already (5 mins in) :-(!!!

Makes me realise that I shouldn't be moaning about pelvis pain when my wee baby is healthy. Oh I hope it all works out okay or I'll not be able to watch any more of this show!

I love that one coletteypie. First thing im always asked when I mention pelvic pain is "are u taking paracetamol". Why did the gp put u off, did he give u a reason? Theres so much cconflicting advice out there, v frustrating.

I'll be curious to see how everyone else is after their vaccination, I seem to have the worst luck. Either i just react to everything or the gp was rough administrating it or something. They do things so odd here, a nurse didnt do mine, was one of the gps in surgery. Much to his annoyance, he was giving off that the com mw's should be doing this but they refuse lol least his moaning distracted me from getting it done lol

Lol I always seem to find nurses are way better at the needle stuff that doctors! They are so out of practice! I didn't even feel the needle to be honest - but having read some of the May mummies thread a few of them have had sore reactions so I don't think it's just you! I'll let you know how my arm is doing tomorrow!

He was a really nice doctor to be fair. But he said his wife had PGP and was on crutches cos was so bad - and he wouldn't have entrusted a chiro or osteo with touching his wife. Said it wasn't worth the risk cos of the danger of making it worse. He said it's not nice but the baby is most important and don't want to risk anything ...But then you have ladies saying that chiropractors have made a great difference and so you have no idea what to do!!

I'll see how I get on. I don't want to ignore his advice. He said speak to physio first and see how I get on from there. But think I'll need to consider finishing work earlier :-s!

I regularly see an osteo and will continue to do so. I have the advantage that mine has also trained as a midwife, so understands pregnancy. No harm in researching options and asking a chiro/osteo for their thoughts and/or experience before booking in?

Thanks for the info Loretta! Do u have any PGP yet?

Yeah I kinda agree. I can understand my GP being sensible but I'll need to be practical if this gets any worse. I can't see how crutches can be a logical or serious option for them to suggest. But fingers crossed I don't get to that point!!

No but I have another condition that can affect the movement of my pelvis as my muscles tense up. Regular therapy helps me stay loose so I'm keen to ensure I give myself the help I need.
I would never say that the theraoy is definitely safe, because I'm not medically trained and have no idea of your full health situation. I just believe that a good practitioner would advise you and would say if they didn't think it was sensible to treat you.
My osteopath has worked on me for 4-5 years. When I said was was pregnant, I was asked how many weeks and immediate
the session was changed. My pregnancy treatment is definitely different to my usual appointments.

Urghh here's hoping I have a matching sore arm as you this morning!

first time mums: last Mother's Day where we're not he mummies! Woo! Next year it'll be brekkie in bed and lots of fuss (assuming the partners step up!) :)

My arms still sore coletteypie :( its a big red hot lump. Least im not the only one them, thought I was a big whimp. So u managed to avoid the bum then? lol

U can get "from the bump" mothers day cards as well karen :) Pregnancy is hard bloody work, think we deserve the recognition lol

Lol! Avoided the bum this time but apparently not for next Fri being the big D day :-o ahhhh. The nurse yday said she thought I wouldn't get the anti d in my arm. Why is it so different depending where you are!?

Awww I hope my hubby gets me a card as a wee surprise! Can't believe I'm gonna be a mumma :-)

My mother in law has sent me a card bless her And my other half is taking me out tomorrow for dinner. Though he says it's the baby taking me out. Not like him to be so sweet!

We're celebrating Mothers Day today as I'm working tomorrow... Got lovely cards from DS, OH and 'Bump' - made me well up! I'm such a lucky lady :) Have been sent out of the kitchen whilst they prepare a three course meal of marinated prawn skewers, taco's and fruit skewers (menu chosen by DS, 8!)

xx

I'm 4.5 hours away from being in tri 3 so am creeping in a bit early! Our tri 2 thread has gone so quiet!!

So excited for Mother's Day tomorrow! Meal with the inlaws then 4D HD scan in the afternoon and we are finding out babys gender!! Bit late on in the pregnancy but all the negative scans we have had, I need a positive one! I'm so excited!!!!
I done a gender guess thread in tri 2 and most people guessing boy!
