*** June 2015 Mummies ***

We must have our first June mum at 30 weeks now! 10 weeks to go sounds sooo scary!

7 weeks of work for me...

So not prepared at all!!

Sleeping isn't easy is it? Between the aches and pains and needing to pee and blocked noses and sore throats. I think I've had a touch of rhinitis in this pregnancy.

I really enjoyed my first pregnancy but i'll be happy when baby is here and this one is over!

Gosh this thread really is taking off :) Guessing more mummies have joined us in tri three since I was last on!!

Almost at the 30wk mark here and will be able to say - only ten weeks left. Makes me super scared!

How is everyone doing?

Off to catch up on all I have missed...

x

It's going so quick it's scary.. Checked out our pushchair at weekend, it's amazing, also emptied nursery ready to start next weekend, serious nesting session yesterday wiping down door, skirting, radiators and window frames in the nursery lol... Oh and in laws driving me mad again...(if any of you seen post on nod and agree) I don't get how MIL and her sister are complete opposits, had family do at weekend and her sister was telling me be careful with the cheese, do I want a de-caf tea etc..as she also expecting another grandchild MIL just looks at me like I'm a weirdo. It's great this post so busy now.

Btw are any of you struggling with salad/fruit/veg... Seems to give me hideous indigestion and acid reflux.. Not sure how I'm supposed to give bubba nutrients if they make me feel rough.

Lucyboo - Only thing that gives me indigestion at the moment is peanut butter. In fact fruit and veg are my cravings :) I also saw your thread about MIL's and sorry your having to put up with that. It's not my MIL that's the issue but strangely my own mum! Who threw her toys out of the pram when I told her I didn't want her at the hospital when LO comes. God forbid I stop her bonding sooner than MIL who is in complete agreement with me. I gave in and said she can visit briefly then leave us along for a few days until we settle.

xx

I can't stop snacking on rubbish :( I am eating chocolate, crisps and biscuits all the time, I'v gaining so much weight on my bum and legs and I feel like it's slowing me right down. i bought maternity trousers that had plenty of room in them a few weeks ago and now they are tight. I would say I was a bit in the skinny side before I fell pregnant but now I'm on another level. I love my baby bump and I am happy for that to go as much as needed but wish I had some control over the other parts, my legs and bum are huge. I'm going to need to start eating a bit more healthier. Anyone else the same just now?

I eat loads of rubbish! I know I shouldn't and I keep trying not too but then I have a bad day and it all goes out the window.

Also, cannot wait to have a glass of wine! Really struggling with this pregnancy :(

Buggy me too, I cant wait until I can have a nice rose wine spritzer or a fruit cider. I bought non alcohol koppenberg just to give me the taste. I also quit smoking when I found out, I used to only smoke around 5 per day or a few more if out socialising on a night out. Can't wait to do as I please and have a wee wine if I take the fancy. Not long now x

I love fruit and veg but it just isn't agreeing with me. Instead I'm eating crap too...and I was determined to eat healthy for Tri3 but it isn't happening..

Looks like we have have some sort of family issues Pismo. Hope you get it sorted.

Im sure bubba has been quieter today than usual, had couple of kicks but nothing like I have lately. I got Doppler out to reassure me which picked up good strong heartbeat so hoping bubba maybe just moved, I'll see what hubby thinks later. MW did say call if anything up at all. I have has stressful couple of days...

Yeah just trust your instincts Lucy. If baby isn't acting normal or to your liking then give them a ring. You are totally justified in it.

Is weird but I actually have to eat healthy. If I look at something that isn't fresh, organic, fruit/veg - then I get horrendous heartburn. I still need to take gaviscon at night but if I eat processed carbs, take away - basically anything fun then I am in so much pain with the burn of acid. Only put on 3kg so far! Am hungry and eating lots but just none of the crap that I used to eat (and no alcohol) so I must be losing weight offsetting against baby getting bigger. I couldn't lose weight pre pregnancy if I tried cos have terrible willpower and eat big portions. But with the heartburn I haven't had a choice!!

Eeesh, not weighed myself in a while but thinking of doing so tomorrow. Asked OH the other day if I looked like I had put on weight anywhere else and I pretty sure he changed the topic! I do feel heavier and slower if I'm honest.

Is it bad that I am already looking forwards to slimming back down? I don't want to put pressure on myself and will take it easy.

Could d with some of your heartburn once LO arrives coletteypie! ;)

Hahaha soon as baba is out and I can have wine/takeaway again I'm sure I will make up for lost time!!!

Was saying to people in work today that I am totally on the countdown. I really can't wait to meet my baby but also sooo looking forward to being able to roll in bed, walk fast/run (not even a fan of running but I miss having the option!), being able to get up off a chair without saying 'oooft', no longer waddling with my pelvis pain.... Oh the list could go on!!!!

I have only put on 1kg but will admit I am still eating quite a bit of crap (just had pizza and oven chips for an easy monday dinner.) Eating a lot less though as going to bed earlier and can't fit as much in.

Got my GTT on Wedneday. How long did you guys who have had it have to fast for? X

I think I did 12hrs with my first but I may have remembered wrongly..

Oh I feel like I've ballooned the last 2-3 weeks! I've just been out for Chinese! :-/ haha! Been to my step sisters mums funeral today so me and her just went and got some food. I am absolutely exhausted!!
I had been dreading today seeing my step siblings so heart broken, when I got back before I just slept straight away! Think I'm gonna sleep so well tonight now today is done, that's if OH doesn't bloody snore!! Haha! Xx

Aw charlie that is rubbish hope you are okay. I was at a cousins funeral few weeks ago and the hormones def make you even more emotional. Not nice at all.

Babyscotcher - not having the GTT so am not 100% sure but have seen other ladies on the forum saying 12 hours. So basically nothing after midnight. Sounds pretty rotten :-(! Doesn't seem that great an idea to starve a pregnant woman all morning!!

Going to a funeral pregnant is even harder, I was a mess from the start! My nose was constantly running too, had that for a few days and the crying just made it even worse! I was a sniffling mess :(

Xx

Hope you get a good night's sleep charlie! Sorry again that you've had such an emotional Day.

Babyscotcher - I'm having my GTT on Thursday at 9.40. The nurse said I can eat as late as midnight if I really wanted too. Will probably just eat as normal then not have any breakfast... Looking forwards to getting it out of the way tbh, really hoping that it's all normal asmall don't think I could cope with injecting myself with insulin (worse case scenario I know!) as scared of needles.

I also can't wait to sleep on my front and not have to worry if I drink too much just before bed or a car journey, also can't wait to eat pate - I'm going to eat it like it's going out of fashion :)

X

At my gtt I had to fast from 10pm the night before and only have water until the test was done, I was starving!
