****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Sorry you ladies had a bad night. I had a decent night. Dd woke me up at 4 stuck on her belly in the corner of.her crib god knows how she got like that, put her in bed with me and we slept til 8 aha.
KHTW weed relaxs you and make you sleepy when i was younger i had an older bf (i was 15/16 he was 24) anyway he smoked it which made me smoke it. Used to just eat loads and go to sleep lol. I dont think its addictive... I dont know why youd have it in pregnancy tho, silly. Actually yday on this morning there was a woman who had 3 types of cancer and she started canabis oil... Few weeks or montha i dont remember all her cancer was gone and theyre doing loads of research into the good affects of it. Dont think id ever try it again tho.
GG I have a cousin whos had loads of mc and been ttc for 10 years i felt so awkward around her at the xmas party cos all my family was like yay babies etc, and especially this one not being planned, so i get why your awlward about it x

Dan's sister was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour coming up for 5 years ago. Terminal, told in the April that she probably wouldn't make it to that Christmas. She had to stop chemo after 2 weeks die to low platelet level but had radiation therapy for 6 weeks. She started taking CBD oil and making special brownies as soon as treatment finished. She's now been downgraded to grade 3 and there has been no growth. Her consultant is thrilled.

Its amazing GG. Other countries allow it for medical purposes and the UK doesnt. Crazy!

My baby is 7 months old!!! When did that happen? :( Haha shes a little person now with her own personality... Wasnt long ago she just lay there aha. Ladies with kids, when did they start carwling? Dd trying her hardest and just wiggles bum in the air aha.

That is amazing indeed GG! I wish I knew more on the subject but it sounds like it can do good too.

PB, happy 7 months to your baby girl!! my DD never really crawled properly and not long after she started crawling, she walked (at 10 months). They all start rolling/crawling/walking at different times. And be ready for it lol because that is when the real fun starts :rotfl:

Medical marijuana is, smoking joints pregnant however in my opinion is another story.

Happy 7 months to your baby girl PB! They grow so fast! Dd crawled from about 9 months and didn't start walking until she turned 1. Xx

I can understand the people who try it for medical reasons and I think more research needs to be done but that's not the reason most people use it and tbh it's illegal and I get so wound up by people doing illegal things for no reason

My DD didn't crawl until 9m but then walked at 10. I thought she was going to skip crawling.

I'm lacking motivation today, told husband I'd paint some skirting boards but it just hasn't happened. The wind kept waking me up last night. I've had a massive craving for creme brulee for ages, before Xmas I'd buy the ones from Iceland but they stopped doing them at my branch so after lunch I'm making lots of creme brulee for me and chocolate mousse for husband. Thought I'd use the wasted egg whites to be nice to him

100% agreed Shan. Smoking weed in my opinion is stupid. It does have medically proven negative effects long term. CBD oil is an extract, nothing to do with the weed people smoke other than it's extracted from the same plant. It's available in Holland and Barrett ffs, lol

Oh yes shan i wasnt justifying smoking a joint while pregnant! Stupid people breeding, ugh. On ovia i dont like the people who ask if they can just have 1 glass of wine... Just wait 9 months not gonna kill you. I have alcoholics in my close family and ikno that it can become hereditary so wouldnt risk my unborn baby that and ofc other side affects of drinking while pregnant.

She has a couple months yet then, hahah shes gonna start as sokn as baby is born so my life will be lovely and hetitc pahaha.

So, just back from consultant appointment. It's gone from I need to have a c section to...a c section would be the worst possible outcome for me and the best option is a water birth at the birthing unit in the hospital, lol.

Had never even considered it so am now off to learn about water births, lol.

GG I would love a water birth, they are amazing!! That's fab you don't have to have a section now, best outcome at your appointment! X

Oooh that's exciting GG! What brought about the change in birth idea?

Nobody's mentioned birth plans to me here yet so I've done zero research into anything. I'm hoping I'll have an appointment with my midwife soonish rather than always with doctors (Spain is so weird) so I can actually discuss some options.

Mala they don't usually discuss plans over here until late pregnancy. Didn't have my birth plan until 36 weeks I think lol. X

Well, I'm seeing my mw on Monday anyway so she can talk me through it more as she'll be with me for the birth. She's so bloody lovely, I feel very lucky.

So, the pain I get in my hip/pelvis and the deadness/numbness in my leg is worse the longer I remain in one position. My obstetric consultant today, called the senior orthopaedic consultant at the hospital I was treated at following my fall. His main concern was immobility. C section means being immobile for 12+ hours. That's a far bigger risk to me than a vaginal birth. His worry with vaginal birth is pressure, so advised water birth.

I did get back to the car and have a cry...I think because I have been told for so long it will be c section and we'd planned everything around the idea of that. It felt like the rug had been pulled from under me.

I feel really positive about it now though.

GG the only downside is you have to wait to go into labour and can happen any time. But it's way you better then having a section. Every thing I hear about water births are amazing, and it's take the edge of the pain lots apparently. X

GG At least this way that massive recovery is out of the picture for you. I'm sure its an adjustment but it sounds very positive.

Honestly the water birth is so amazing and it takes all the pressure of your body, so any injuries or things like back labour are reduced so much. Positions are easier etc. I can totally see how the water would help you with your medical issues. I couldn't do it this time without a water birth. xx

GG amazing news! So happy for you! Water birth sounds like a lovely way to deliver your baby x

Re. labour planning... not to be a party pooper but I think it can sometimes be heartbreaking when you set your mind on particular birth and then for some or other reasons it can't be done. This is why I am gonna go with the flow, just like with DD x (unless they say NO to epidural in which case you will hear about me in the news!!!)

Thanks, that's good to know. I think I was having a bit of a panic last night that we don't have much for baby and the house is a tip with having just moved and getting work done. New floor going down in the lounge next week as well so I feel like I'm never getting a chance to paint.

You all seem quite positive about a water birth so maybe that's something I will look into as well!

Lol @ KH

Yeah, I've come round to the idea very quickly and easily, lol.

I lost my aunt to alcoholism a few years back, luckily she didn't drink at all when pregnant but the risks are just silly given that you don't exactly have to wait long!

You're totally right about not being completely set on a particular birth plan. I'm completely set I can't help myself. I know I might be setting myself up for a fail. It really is heartbreaking and I think can really mess your head up if things vary from your plan, if you aren't ready for a change of plans.

When I was rushed in with dd they put me on the bed and I started pushing straight away. And I was just like "this isn't how I wanted my labour at all!" I was devastated. Luckily they asked me what I'd wanted and they rushed the pool to get me in. But it was empty that night and I just got lucky. I have a definite labour and birth plan I cant help it. Hopefully we all get what we want but I'm sure they'll be at least one of us who don't xx
