****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Happy V day Shan. It'll be V day here for Dan as well if he plays his cards right. March 14th is steak and blowjob day, lol

Can you imagine if the midwife left the labouring mum to see to the man? I'd be like um wtf are you doing?! Leave him he's fine I'm pushing a person out! Haha. I think that's the protocol though tbh to not leave the mum. Men I swear lol

lol malagueta I'm sure they'll get the gist of what you're saying haha xx

He was actually great during labour. He wasn't too much in my face but was there, not on the phone or anything. He is such a chatterbox tho, poor MW's ears were swollen by the time baby came. For some reason she was there all night, starting with braking my waters.

What about your OH makes you say you'd rather do it without him? x

My husband just wasn't a very good support, poor guy. To start with he was shattered, it was lambing time so he'd been up since 430am but come 2am the following day I really didn't need to be hearing about how tired he was when i was in so much pain. Then when things started going wrong he just went super quiet, he was terrified that he'd lose us both but really I needed him to block it out and not look so scared and say something. I was worrying about him when I shouldn't have been. I'll never forget his face while he was watching the heart monitor as her rate was dropping. I could have done with him encouraging me rather then sitting in silence. He has promised he'll be better this time and admits it's because he was so scared but this time I'll just ask him to leave until it's over if he's not going to be helpful

You're right, Shan and KHTW. Paracetamol for bloody everything! Lol.

I love that the midwife just leaves the husband who's passed out there haha. I actually think my hubby will be OK in labour. I'm a bit more concerned that I'll be shouting and swearing in English while all the doctors and midwives only speak Spanish so hubby reckons he'll end up laughing lol.

Lol...I'm pretty sure they'll all know what you're saying x

I'll put a link below and not going to get the actual cot due to it's cost and actually, as much as I like the idea of it, I'd prefer to be the one controlling the rocking. But, I LOVE the 5 second saddle that is part of it and available to buy separately. Plan is to basically sew some Velcro onto the wings also I can secure it to the later as in the next to me crib. Already got a white noise machine and Dan is going to change the frame on the crib to allow it to be rocked safely as I like the idea that it helps baby to self soothe. The reason I want to do the rocking myself though is that I don't want to rely on computerised settings to tell me when baby actually needs me. The cot goes through 4 cycles that increase in rocking strength and volume of white noise but shut off after 5 minutes if the crying continues so that mum can step in but I want to be the one in control of that. The saddle though, for the price, ease of use, range of sizes and ability to keep baby from rolling, definitely worth a try for me.

The idea sounds really good but I am with you on the rocking thing to be done by you and not the automated mechanism. Babes cry for a reason and I would hate to thing that instead of getting their parent's attention they juts get shushed and rocked back to sleep by the crib x

Good thing you talked about it!!! And that he actually acknowledges that he needs to support you better. I hope he sleeps well the nigh before you go to labour, for everyone's sake xx

Saying that you may change your mind after a week with no sleep :D x

Mariaisabella, such good news from that scan. Bless you...hope you can start to put the last few weeks behind you now and start to find enjoyment in your pregnancy again.

Shep...really hope you and DD feel better soon.

KH, it sounds like you have a plan that will hopefully work but I wish the sleep gods upon you...I don't know how you continue to function.

I've looked at the sleep pods and one of my friends swears by hers but I'm hoping to try something different that I've seen and really like the look of.

Ah fuck sake just accidentally lost my post.

We got the next to me and I'll definitely be swaddling like I did with DD. It makes all the difference. I don't get the clips part though since babies can't roll themselves at first anyway. And you need to stop swaddling when they can anyway? Maybe Im misunderstanding though xx

Lol good luck Dan  OH is not getting near me until I feel about 1000x better than I do right now lol

Oh I totally get this. I've been worrying about how OH wil be if he's been up since 3-4 am from work. He can literally sit on the sofa to have a conversation, his eyes will droop and he'll start falling asleep. It drives me mad. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I was going through labour and he was too tired to focus on helping me. You need the emotional support not extra stress

For the part where your labour went wrong I imagine that that was a lot for him to handle. He probably never even thought that would be a possibility. But I get it, you need someone to tell you it's okay and support you through it, not freak you out even more. But this time hopefully your labour will be totally different. I've told oH the same. If he's not helpful he can leave until the baby is coming out xx

Shan, has your ticker for DD1 stopped? She is passed her 4th birthday, right? I had to re-do mine... it stopped at 2! x

My cat was done before she came into heat, give your vets a call and see what they say, got a feeling they will say to wait thou.

Shes 3 in june. And comes into heat like every 2 weeks. Its hard not to take her tbh :/ they only asked of she had had kittens recently not anything else. Will just mention it tho, hopefully she will be finsihed by monday lol

Just thread hopping...

My kitty was spayed whilst she was in heat PB! It doesn't help that from March time onwards (as the days get longer) they seem to go into heat every few weeks. I spoke to 2 vets and both were confident it wouldn't be a problem, and she was fine following the surgery. Good luck!

Thanks summer. I just found them on facebook and sent a measage didnt wanna ring again lol. Hopefully they say yes cba to rebook ugh.

Should be absolutely fine PB. You should see horse forums, lol!

GG are they worse? People are so up themselves. People still going on saying why am I waiting 5 days to ask the vet. It's like I've gone on there, said I beat my cat don't feed her and slapped someones mum :/
Literally just asked if my cat was too skinny, if she can be spayed I'm heat and if it's the heat making her wee more or uti with list of symptoms. Every single reply has been harsh. So glad this forum isn't like that.

PB it depends on your vet I reckon.

My mums cat went into her first heat a week before she was due to be spayed. The vet told her the uterus swells up in size or something like that? And wouldn't do it cause it was harder. But if your vet does then you'll be fine. They're so annoying in heat though!

Oh they can fuck themselves hun. I hate forums like that. I'm the first to snap at anybody with attitude haha xx
