Well, the lady was lovely and gave me 6 scan pics. Side on, face, foot, haven't had a proper look yet as think it's a bit insensitive in the waiting room just in case.

Baby was quieter today so easy to measure and from the measurements, weight is worked out to be 245g. Growing really nicely apparently.

Long wait for consultant now but I don't care. Baby sucked it's thumb then wiped both hands on it's face like a little hamster having a clean. It was so cute. Lead the hands open and close, saw the feet really clearly and Yes, there was a potty shot and no, there were no obvious boy bits but she didn't hold it there long. I had no warning so was looking anyway, lol.

Aw GG that's great! It's amazing seeing all the little details. I never saw anything like that before with Ivy really. I'm so glad they scanned you again. Let's see your pics when you get home!

Ah, just heard the loveliest thing. A nurse came out to call a patient through and a consultant called to the nurse to tell her that one of her ladies had just given birth upstairs, but she's be dashing home as soon as allowed as it's also her other child's birthday! What are the chances of That? Amazing. The whole waiting room was smilingv

I got talked through a lot, handed in a urine sample, blood pressure taken and chat about what to expect in this trimester. I did get to listen to babies heartbeat but apparently that's not always done.

Laura 16 weeks you might get to listen to the HB, urine check, talk about your 12 week scan and a general catch up. oh and to go over blood results

When is your appointment?

Same as GG Laura. Mine was quick being my 2nd so not much what to expect talk. Talked a bit about birth as I'm considering home birth and the midwife is very into it. Didn't hear heartbeat as it's not done here until next appointment now, but did hear it last night. It's very quick and simple really xx

Shan! Congratulations! I thought I'd always want a boy first too, but am now secretly hoping and feeling strongly that it's a girl but I won't mine either... Yay two girls! They'll be close!

Jem - my bump hasn't looked so dissimilar from yours in the last week or so. We're probably a similar size... But it is growing really fast now and starting to look distinctly 'not just fat'. It will all round out and you'll feel lovely! And no matter what your shape, don't tell yourself you look wrong or gross.... It's hard though sometimes I know. Especially if you go on Pinterest and see all these "fit mommies" with "belly only pregnancies". You know I just think... Yeah do I wish my bump was more pronounced. Yeah. But I can't go back to when I wasn't pregnant and lose 100 lbs... This baby is here now and I love it and I will accept my body and the amazing job it's doing! Humongous areolae and nipples included (ugh). And I bet in a week or two you will see a big difference in how much the bump is emerging. Also! Amen to those saying don't think you're just being negative. You ARE having issues at work and it's not your fault... Talk about it if you need to!!
I was going to say something else but I think baby brain has struck and all I can think about is wanting noodles for breakfast. It will come to me.....

Just had mine. It was a lot more boring than the booking appointments.. She talked to me about antenatal classes, physio sessions, more appointment schedules, summarised my 12 week scan, tested my urine, did my blood pressure.. And then not so standard she took my blood to test for liver problems cuz I mentioned I've been itching all over my body at night. Asked me if I had any questions. That was it!

Also is SO disappointed she didn't weigh me again. Cuz I had a high BMI to begin with, I've been really careful not to put on any weight and well the nausea has put paid to that but I'm now over half a stone lighter than at my booking appointment (where I was actually my heaviest ever). Will they ever weigh me again or is that weight they've put down going to follow me around in my paperwork everywhere?! Till the end of the pregnancy?! God forbid!

haha it'll be an expensive Time for the parents. I cant decide whether joint parties are a good thing or bad thing

anyone else in a nesting mood? I can't really do much in the bedrooms until I know the baby's sex so I've sorted a load of books for the charity shop and started painting my living room skirting board. suddenly I feel like I want the house all in order. I've got bags of energy to so actively stopping myself from going to homebase and buying paint to redecorate the whole living room

Thank you! I'm delighted so hopefully scan isn't wrong lol. One of my reason for wanting a girl was for dd to have a sister so they better be bloody close haha.

Go for the noodles! I had stir fry for my breakfast yesterday so I can't judge lol xx
