I've been suffering with super dry itching nipples to. I've only had the tiniest bit of discharge though. I need to buy some lasinoh. I've just been piling vitamin E moisturizer on atm

I've got my 20 week scan in 13 days. cant remember when my 24 week appointment is exactly but about 4 weeks after the scan haha. I just tend to leave my notes in the car so I don't ever forget them but then I forget to write appointments on my calender

Nipple cream, if your breastfeeding I recommend buying in bulk aha. No seriously it's amazing don't even try the cheap crap I tried the superdrug nip cream and it made my nipples even worse I was crying. Then hubby bought me that and oh my goodness the pain went away in the same day after a week of agony lol

yeah actually now that I think about it I shouldn't be having a 24 week one. she must have forgot it was baby 2as she made the booking. I'll say nothing haha

lasinoh is nipple cream made from lanolin (from sheep's wool) it's fab when breast feeding and in general when you've got dry nipples. pure lanolin is more like an oil (it's amazing stuff on the hands) but the lasinoh is very thick and sticky

Fucking hell what a night. Think I got about an hour honestly. Dd ended up with a reallly high temp last night/this morning. Put her in my bed because I freak out when she's that hot. Dosed her up and spent the whole night checking her. She's bloody fine now?! It just disappeared and I hate when she has a temp with no illness because I freak out meningitis

Anyway...I read through the thread but I've forgotten most of it already lol. So tired!

KHTW that's so great news about dd. Clever girl!! Only a mum could get so excited about pee haha Xx

About nipples. With dd I remember reading about it, not realising you can leak in pregnancy. So I squeezed one of my nipples in bed and stuff shot out sideways over unsuspecting OH haha. Was only a little bit but he was traumatised for a while lol. I don't remember how far along that was but I'm sure it wasn't that far along though.

Midwife Friday, gender scan 31st. Hurry up seriously

Has anyone started wearing pads or liners? And what ones are best? I'm not weeing myself but noticed recently my underwear is always damp. Guess it's discharge? Anyway it's grossing me out and pissing me off lol.
Do I just get normal panty liners or what? I have no idea!

Yes I wear liners most of the time now. I did with dd because of the discharge too. Normal! Just get whatever liners or pads you prefer. I use tampons and hate pads so much so I just buy thin liners

Edit: I use always dailies at the minute. "Always Dailies Pantyliners Incredibly Thin Flexistyle" tried them liked them pretty much. They're cheap too lol xx

definitely don't worry Fela, I didn't feel DD until 21 weeks.

lovely that you're getting proper kicks shanivy. I get a couple of rolls most days but it's mainly quickenings

I don't generally weigh myself but last night oh and I got the Wii out for the first time in ages, it happily told me I gained 6lbs I really feel like I'm going to be massive this time. oh has just booked his friends stag do to Malia when I'll be 36 weeks and while I'm not usually an insecure woman about that kind of thing last night I was a bit emotional that I was going to be the biggest I'd ever be and he'd be off to Malia for 5 days. he was lovely of course, bloody pregnancy hormones

I'm sure it's kicks but it still feels like little tiny taps though. And only when I'm settled. Not saying I'm getting full blown movement. Not felt anything at all today so it's still happening sparingly.

I'm worried about how big I'll be this time too. With dd I was just bump. But this time :/ 6lbs is nothing though and you're still so active that you put me to shame. I'm sure you'll be fine. Hormones are a nightmare though lol xx

Oh Shan hope DD is over it now and the temp is not coming back. I had a shit night too, DD was coughing all night, waking herself and me frequently. I may ask OH to co-sleep tonight but I really don't like leaving her at night when she is poorly, on the other hand I need sleep too x

Jem I never needed liners with DD and it doesn't look like I need them now either x

I've never needed liners for discharge. only used them when my cold was really bad and I was sneezing constantly

another one with a rough night here. the wind and rain was awful and then DD was coughing so much. I'm shattered.

I had to wear pads at the beginning, discharge was so bad!

Wind and rain was insane here too. Dd has a pretty bad cough now. Must of been a temp from her cold coming on....again phoned nursery to let them know she wasn't coming in and there's a few off.

OH came in from work last night saying he felt so sick and feeling sorry for himself. As soon as he came in dd woke up in tears and ended up in my bed again. Oh slept downstairs while me and dd were up all night. To be honest I wasn't very sympathetic to him that he apparently wasn't well. He's fucking fine this morning though strangely after being so ill last night. Sorry ladies I'm actually trying not to rant lol I just need serious sleep :/

Hope the kiddies all get better soon. Roll on this bloody summer honestly xx

Sorry guys, been awol for absolutely ages - the longer you've not been on the forum, the harder it is to come back cuz I know I'll have PAGES AND PAGES to read to catch up.
Sounds exciting some of you already having your gender scans!
And some of you super organised in already getting stuff!!

I'm going back to working nights this week and hoping I'm going to cope okay.
Bought a pregnancy pillow cuz in my 15th week I'm already uncomfortable in bed! Had a growth spurt with the bump and feel MASSIVE. Also, I know it's crazy early but a few nights ago, I was half-asleep in the middle of the night, and swore I felt a little nudge in my bump, followed by this weird gliding feeling..but not felt anything since then.

Also Laura! I've got a fricking UTI as well! Awful...And I haven't had one since I was a child. This pregnancy lark does just change so much body-wise.
I'd been consistently losing weight (about 4 kg total) until this week, where it looks like I'm about to go the other way now.... :S

Jem have you sorted your mat leave out now? Staying at work until a month before ! Brave girl, although I guess (don't know your job role properly) you're not on your feet for long hours? I have quite an active job, 12.5 hour shifts, nights and weekends, and lots of annual leave to take, so I'm thinking of going off at about 33 weeks, taking 4 weeks of annual leave, and then starting my mat leave at 37 weeks. If this is how big I am at 14 weeks I don't see me being able to do CPR if need be at 8 months pregnant very comfortably or turning very large patients. Will neeed to order maternity uniforms next week, will try to upload a bump pic later!!!

P.S - I cannot WAIT for my gender scan and it feels SO FAR AWAY. 7th March!!

I'm officially second tri and not an imposter today! Yaaaaay 14 weeks FINALLY!
