****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

PB I'm sure they can at 21 ask the midwife but I'm pretty positive 21 weeks is fine. It's the more important scan so I'd say they wouldn't book you in if things couldn't be done. How's you and dd tonight? xx

Jem Tesco sell flump btw totally forgot about to mention it. Order them from Tesco online if you're desperate haha! Wouldn't worry about the moaning what pregnant woman doesn't? Xx

GG that's great news you have a date! Mine is the 16th for the NHS. Probably wasting my money with the private at 18 lol knowing this lazy baby I seem to be making. How's your back holding up so far? xx

Going to be such a fun few weeks with all these scans coming up !!

Back is a mess but hey ho. Have the consultant appointment on Thursday so hopefully we can start to do something to help. It's the pelvic pain and dead leg bit that's the worst at the moment.

To be honest, I'm just learning to adapt, lol.

Oh no that sounds awful. Hope the consultant is helpful as that's the last thing you need. I'm just waiting for my disk pain or sciatica but so far it's been okay ish, had to lean on my trolley yesterday but it's easing. Just being very careful not to do anything to start it off. Nervous for later in pregnancy though! Xx

So am I. The midwife is so relaxed about literally everything else so her genuine worry about I will cope later on really worries me too.

Wasn't for gender, was for the health check things. I'm pretty sure I won't be passed but obviously leaving it till I'm nearly 22 weeks will make it a little more difficult cos babe will be bigger x

Sorry I read it wrong. I hope they can do it... I'd give them hell if not!! x

I won't lie to you, Tri 3 is tough on joints and back. I can say a thing or two about it having rheumatoid arthritis. Physio and staying active is very important (swimming is great for that) xx

Thanks everyone for the flump advice haha - I don't live anywhere near an Asda or anywhere. We have a Tesco and nope, none. There's a Tesco in my mum's town too 10 mins away and no flumps!! I don't know what's happening haha. I don't want to order in bulk just yet cos I might get one and decide nope don't like it.

As for HR at work, we are tiny GP surgery, so there is literally just my manager.

Anyone else struggling in Tri 2 with the same sort of symptoms at the beginning of Tri 1? Nausea, insomnia etc? I can't sleep but I'm so so so tired! Wonder if it's stress related rather than pregnancy related? I don't know lol.

Welcome to Jasnews, this is a wonderful place especially if you're a moaner like me haha.

I'm sure one day I'll post something positive

Hope everyone is okay x

Tiredness and lack of motivation. Started right at the beginning of the pregnancy and I still struggle with it now. I can summarize my mood as I CAN'T BE BOTHERED and it is all day everyday thing. So not like me. x

It's hard enough as it is by 3rd tri, without any underlying health issues. Hopefully the physio helps you once you get to that stage . I'm finding this one so much more difficult in general, and that's with quitting my job too. I can't believe I worked pretty much right up to having dd with no issues. Ahh fingers crossed l! Xx

Same! I swear I had more energy 5 minutes after giving birth than I do now lol. I'm not too bad for sleep once I'm sleeping but if I'm woken up I'm screwed. Oh woke me at 4 am getting for work this morning and that was me up. Again. And I almost killed him and his stupid elephant work boots Xx

I thought you had asked him to remove his boots?! I am the same, if I wake up I am screwed... It is normally my OH snoring that does it to me... or having to get up to pee :(

Oohh no I could sleep any time anywhere. Hubby gets up at half 7 and dd wakes half 7 - half 8. So I'm up and grumpy I could sleep to past 12 aha. Late pregnancy is the worst when they're on your nerves I couldn't lay down without my legs being incredibly painful and going numb.

Yeah my main thing about not being able to sleep is because of the tingling in my left leg, I think something must be pushing on a nerve, been this way since like 9 weeks!!

I know I have a tilted uterus so don't know how that changes things.

But getting up off the sofa etc, I feel like an old lady. I can't imagine it's going to get any better lol.

Poor you PB, I bet you feel like you haven't had a break from pregnancy at all! x

I DID! Bloody doesn't listen. Waking up to pee is so annoying but I know that gets worse. I can remember getting up to pee, not even making it back to bed before having to to back to the bathroom to pee again. :/ xx

That's kind of what happens with my left leg. Starts out as pain in the groin. Pain gets worse, leg goes tingly, then numb, then just completely dead. Only way to relieve it is to sit down but can't always do that with work. I have that and the skin on the outside of the thigh starts to burn but like cold. Like it's having liquid nitrogen sprayed on it. It happens no matter what undoing but is worse when standing. The sciatic type pain has become less frequent so that may be due to baby moving up but yep, I have no doubt that will be back with a vengeance.

As for the sleeping til past 12 thing...if I was able, I so could as well!

I really didn't like pregnancy, low blood pressure made me unable to stand up in the same place for longer than a few seconds (this ones worse!) . I was on bed rest from 12 - 16 weeks because I had a bleed right next to baby (went away). I was in hospital once a week because baby didn't move. I went in for pain at 24 weeks and they admitted me because they thought I was going into labour... Then they kept telling me I would have a very big baby (10+lbs) and my final scan there was too much fluid around the baby, so I had to take my blood sugar before and after every meal which showed I had GD. So the final time I went in with no movement and serious back pain, and bleeding, they was going to induce me that night but turns out the blood was my bloody show and i was in labour myself which was what the back pain was. Was all worth it though and I'm happy to do it all over again to get another baby aha. Hoping this ones more active though. X

Oh PB I feel like I will be as unlucky as you with a horrible pregnancy, it's just in my nature lol everything always goes wrong for me.

But like you say all of this will be worth it in the end :) x

Jem as soon as she was out, I missed being pregnant so much. Also aha, your belly turns into jelly straight after ohhhh it's such a weird feeling... And it wobbles when you move, lean to the side oooo it slides over. I found it hilarious tho.

Oh wow that sounds really tough! really hoping you have a better experience this time!

I've been having every problem under the sun so far, had to leave another urine test into the GP today and think I might be getting a UTI :( not great!

Hope some of you ladies are feeling a bit better today! xx

Laura, utis are common in pregnancy I've had 3 already and still waiting to see if I have another. It's so annoying. If your having sex, pee before and straight after helps prevent them.

This nausea is horrible, I keep eating which helps but I'm gonna get so fat if i carry on, put on 2 stone with dd was hoping to only gain the weight of babe this time lol.
Pickle onion monster munch is my go to atm aha

Lol I am so hungry all the time!!! But I want to try and curb my hunger and eating until next Weds. I see the consultant next weds and I'm really hoping they'll just discharge me from their caseload and I'll just have the growth scans and GTT. Really cba to keep seeing a consultant to keep moaning about my weight to me!

Ooh not nice but like PB says they're common. I had one at the start and they freaked me out by asking me to come in asap and I was like "oh fuck what is it" Ended up turning into a kidney infection. It antibiotics and it was fine xx

Bloody hell PB, you really went through it didn't you!
