****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

I would love for it to be a wonderful thing being pregnant together, knowing our babies will be so close and be like best friends. I don't see how she doesn't have that mindset and have to be horrible about it all and treat it like a competition!
If it's not about her then she has to make it about her. Not nice at all x

Oh and to add to the fire ... she's due on my birthday .... YAYYYYYYYY

Well I remember you were looking forward to have a baby due on your birthday so there you go lol. Honestly, just think that you will get a little niece/nephew that will be a playmate for your little bundle of joy. Forget about your sister! x

I was gonna say that too Jem lol. Can't believe the one baby due on your birthday is your sisters. Sorry! Agree with KHTW hun, you don't have a choice but to find a positive in this situation. I get how you don't want to share your pregnancy joy with someone else. And you sister seems a little immature. I probably couldn't deal with her.

But you'll love that little baby once it's here! And your baby will have a cousin to grow up with honestly that will be a great thing! Positives babe, all you can do. Hugs! :hugs: xxx

I actually don't mind that she is due near me, it's her that is making it negative :(

Don't let her hun. Don't have somebody else spoil it for you. Because I know it's been pretty shit so far but it does get wonderful in so many ways. Don't let that be ruined by someone else's immaturity!! Xxx

Might just run away and enjoy my baby with nobody else haha x

Jem, just whatever she says to try to bring you down, turn it into a positive. Really easy when you get the hand of it.

She says, "oh, is yours not rolling over yet? Mine has been for weeks".

You say, "Nope, she doesn't feel the need to get away from me".

She says, "Well I'm going to breastfeed for at least a year, why are you giving up?"

You say, "Oh, I'm not...I just want dad to have the bonding experience as well, and I'm a much happier mum when I get more sleep...How are you coping? You look really tired".

She says, "I don't like that brand of baby wipes, did you know they received poor reviews".

You say, "Did you know most bad reviews come from mums who like to just put other mums down? Silly really isn't it (laughing)".

You see where I'm going. Just be 100% confident in what you're doing and leave her to her own insecurities. xx

Haha GG would you like to come and be me for a while? xx

Your sister sounds like a child. :/ probably jealous your pregnant aswell. Meh ignore her.

So I've been doctors and Doctor said that the infection has gone but my ear drum has been sucked into the ear canal or something. Something to do with during pregnancy the tubes that connect everything up (nose throat ears etc) can swell and act as a vacuum which has sucked my ear drum in. She's given me some nasal spray to stop the swelling in the tubes. Don't really get it but basically it's baby's fault! She said it will be what's causing the pain and general unwell feeling X

I hope the spray helps fast. And at least you know what's going on x

And I'd say that classes as a pregnancy illness for a sick note. Hope it works too though Xx

I don't know I'm still too worried to be off again because they don't cover my work. They didn't cover it over Christmas so I've got work since 20th December to do and it won't be touched if I'm off. Got deadlines and it's just gonna be impossible to ever catch up if I go off :/ x

Hi ladies. It seems pretty much everyone has migrated over here! Can I be put down for the 20th please?

Glad to hear your infection is gone Jem. Maybe the nasal spray will help as well. And I would ignore your sister, she sounds immature. Just you enjoy your pregnancy!

I've been feeling exhausted this entire week. Can't seem to get enough sleep despite napping in the evening before dinner.

Lovely scan pics JaneyJan and Amy!

So much to catch up on!

Lovely scan pic :)

Sounds like there’s a lot of colds going round right now which sucks... fingers crossed they pass quickly

Shan my due date is 10th July. Been a bit nervous this week about the anomaly scan at 20 weeks because of my diabetes... it’s well controlled but so many risks... I think now that I’m passed 12 and not worrying about miscarriagwnive swapped onto worrying about something else!

No prob Hun. Ah that's right you're type 1 right? I don't know much about it just have a friend with it since we were kids and she's been wanting to ttc for a while but isn't ready to deal with it. I hope it's going smoothly for you so far. Xx

Yeah I can totally relate - we put it off for quite a while as well and then finally thought if we don’t do it now we never will! It’s definitely tough because there’s so much to think about and you have to be soooo careful but luckily I know a few other t1s who have had kids so I know it can work out ok and they’ve been giving me tips. It means I get lots of extra scans and appointments though so that’s reassuring :)

That's good, it sounds like they really look after you. I'm sure it must feel scary sometimes but I'm sure everything will be fine.

That's great you have people who have been through the same thing, that in itself must be so reassuring. I never even realised pregnacy could be an issue with type 1 until my friend told me. She still loses complete control of hers so she's giving it a while. Makes perfect sense I guess. Feel free to educate us lol. Def let us know when all your extra scans are so we can give a little support! I hope you have a healthy pregnancy throughout hun xx

Definitely! It’s like this forum so reassuring to have people to talk to and compare experiences with! Did you book your gender scan in the end?

Love this!!!

Does anybody else get the occasional over bearing urge to punch their OH in the face repeatedly with a brick? xx

Not yet. OH birthday tomorrow and my daughters on the 19th so I'm skint haha. Will book it at the end of the month for as close as I can get. Got my scan last Sunday on the Friday night so don't think theres a big need to book in advance. Xx
