See mine didnt care about bowel movement, i think i didnt go for like over a week, then i got hemmoroids. So abit longer. I said do i need one before i go they said no. Why cant all hospitals be the same?

I had to :/ That first bowel movement is fucking terrifying. I held a pad over myself and felt like my uterus was coming out. When I had my shower, I'd just had my stitches done and oH was still there so he stayed with her.

Shep I was kept in so had to get used to leaving her for the bathroom. It was not far but I used to be scared she'd cry and know I'd left her lol so I'd get in as quickly as possible and half run back haha half killing myself xx

PB I didn't even know about frozen pads. I wasn't really in pain after even with the stitches but I bled for 6 weeks and got my period a week later! xx

Hospitals are all so different!

Lol i had a bathroom right next to me so i could probably hear her cry if she did when i left.
Ohhh forzen pads are amazing, helped my swelling loads and it just numbed the pain, on my third pad i was actually able to half sit down instead of lay. I suggest doing some when your approching labor, put a little water in the middle all along pad, and put in freezer, (id put them in a little tub first).
I bleed for about 4 weeks and got my period 2 week later and that was my only period of the whole year xD

So today I realised I’m half way.... happy 20 weeks!!!

Also I felt the little gremlin kick me a few times so far today... such an strange sensation but also incredible.

Frozen pads are a blessing!!! I had to have a wee before they let me out. Forst poop wasn't so bad. Was not fun but it wasn't horrible x

Scan went well. Baby was very very clear. To the point that they even confirmed gender (well we could see it all). All is were it was meant to be yay! x

Yay for no surprise penis KH and happy 20 weeks Amy.

I've decided I'm most definitely not going anywhere today. Been outside this afternoon. Took some stuff out of the field by the house which disturbed a little field vole. Poor thing had nowhere to go, tried using mine and Dans feet as shelter and ended up hiding under a tractor wheel...the tractor being worked on.
Dan was all ready to get something to usher it out from under the wheel but I wandered to the garden, got a black bucket and put some of the horses fly masks in it. Lay it next to the vole and told Dan to count. 11 seconds later, the vole walked into the bucket and I carried it back to the garden to put in the shed so not can regime itself when it's ready. Gorgeous little thing.

Back inside now and putting my dressing gown back on.

glad your scan went well KHTW, glad she's still a girl haha. it's veen two weeks since my scan and I'm still not over the fact I'm having another girl, I find myself doing a little jig at least once a day with excitement

I like the frozen pads idea, I'll try that, although I was lucky last time, even with my episiotomy I wasn't too sore and the first BM wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think I only bled for two weeks to and didn't get a period until 5 months

Ooh I feel that way too. I've been doing a lot of imagining lately what it will be like having two girls. Dd is very cute and sings to her, kisses my stomach at bedtime. I hope that sticks lol. I always wanted a sister so I just can't wait xx

Mine are gonna hate each other aha. Brother and sister so close ... Same as me and my bro theres only 11 months and we barely speak. We really disliked each other growing up, and being so close in age meant he stole my friends and ended up being alone basically.
Im gonna do everything to make them like each other aha. I would always help him in school and stuff, but he'd leave be to get bullied and shit, which did happen. I want them to look after each other properly, someone picking on him/her they go and help etc.
My mom always wanted boys and she got 3 girls and 1 boy so obviously he got treated way better, my sister is alot older and she said she remembers my nan having a massive argument about my mom treating my bro better then me and my sis and it was relly noticeable. I mean i wanted a girl but doesnt mean ill love or treat my boy any different to dd. Obviously itll bee easier for me to do things with her, but same as hubby being able to spend more time with this one when theyre older ofc.

PB lol no they won't they're so close in age I reckon they're going to be a dream. Me and my brother have almost five year between us which for me is too much. We did fight but all my memories of my childhood involve him. Christmas, holidays, weekend trips everything.. He had a speech impediment and had to do speech therapy. Everyone says how he couldn't be understood until he was about 4. But I swear I remember having full blown conversations with him from he was no age easily. Even my mum would ask me what he said lol. Being brother and sister doesn't automatically mean they hate each other

The way you're going to raise them, they'll be fine! My brother just moved out of his dads and he still literally calls me for everything even though he lives in England. He called me today to tell me he interrupted a burglar trying to break into his flatshare ffs! Xx

Im a little jealous of you all tbh aha. I think its just different, im sure when hes born ill be over the moon i didnt have another girl lol.
Next baby ive decided not to find out the gender lmao.

Don't worry PB I'm sure you will be. You get a completely different experience to us. I always thought it would be so lovely to experience what it's like to have a grown up son, being protective of his mum and treating you to lunch etc haha. It's such a different dynamic. Plus you get to have your little girl too. I'm so happy to have another girl but also it's a bit of a shame I'll never have a son as this is my last baby. If that makes sense xx
