***July 2016 trimester 2***

Thanks TTC. July 30 and team pink here.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one struggling with names. OH and I are having real trouble picking a girl's name. We have a short list, but it grows over time and no one name really jumps out at us. His family is Austrian, which makes it trickier with pronunciation differences and whatnot.

We live in Germany, Oxford, and have exactly the same problem with names! Last time with Ella I brought in a list of names to work and got people to pronounce them! I really liked Phoebe for example, but everyone wanted to say Phöbe!!

What names have you come up with so far? May I recommend Ella as a lovely name ;-)

My OH and I love Ella, actually. It's one of our favourites. But it's also really popular in the UK at the moment, and so we are trying to pick a name that won't be too common among the baby's peers. (I had 3 Jennifers on my high school volleyball team - totally confusing!)
At the moment some of our favourites are Catherine, Clara and Leah. We also love Jane but don't want the Austrians calling her "Yane"! Tricky tricky!

Really? So far I haven't come across any other Ellas here! We chose it because it's easy to pronounce in both languages and not as common. There seem to be loads of Laras and Lenas here at the minute.
I love Clara btw but my OH doesn't!

Our favourites at the minute are:
Georgia
Grace
Flora
Frances
Catalina
Lily
Svenja

Also I know it's pretty common but the July birthstone is Ruby :) i love Scarlet :)
I like Frances, Sophie.. I've always liked Frankie for a girl so i supposed she'd be called that as a nickname?

We're still getting nowhere with names lol i wish i could brainwash my husband into wanting my fave name lol xxx

Me too Wittgenstein physio referral... god knows how long we will wait...

Names are difficult, we think we have decided....

How's everyone getting on with the buying stuff? I feel like I have made a start but still all the big stuff to get!! Doing the nursery over Easter weekend so make it even more real. Can't wait X

How is everyone?

I've been given so many clothes second hand that I need to have a good sort out think he'll need a few outfits but sleep suit wise we're sorted. We need the pram but other than that we're done as we're not doing the nursery until next year as he'll be in with us for at least a year x

We're pretty much done :-) Hubby decorated the nursery when we were off work last week, we've ordered the cot and been to pick up the wardrobe yesterday, we've had the travel system and been shopping for clothes etc for a while and will be given a load more so I think we really need to stop now!
We've decided on a name.
Just going to try and relax and concentrate on cooking our little boy now.
How's everyone else doing?
I had a physio appointment last week, but it was just what they call a triage appointment and I start classes in a couple of weeks. Tbh things are a lot better now though, swimming and yoga is really helping and although I do get sore hips and numbness in my left leg when walking I can ease it by doing some stretches xx

Oh, and I've been feeling little one move a lot more lately, which is lovely :-) Hubby hasn't felt him yet though, which he is upset about, I hope he does soon xx

Just bought my pram... so exciting it's amazing and second hand and I love it and I'm excited and it suddenly seems even more real and I'm giddy.... can you tell!! ?? Xx

Very exciting Lucylu, we love our pram, what did you go with?
Baby has been moving loads today and hubby and I have both been able to see him move my tummy, it's amazing :-) xx

Physio update for FBW:

I saw the Physio last Monday, and he thinks it is "Piriformis Syndrome", which sometimes happens in runners. Mine got worse when I was doing more jogging, and I've had a similar pain in the past from running. Anyway, he just did the usual Physio thing where he did a very painful "massage", and then taught me a bunch of stretches that I'm meant to do twice a day. I've been doing the stretches, and it's maybe a little better, but still flares up badly now and then.

I'm keeping my NHS consultation, in case they have any further advice but who know when that will come through!

Also I know it's pretty common but the July birthstone is Ruby :) i love Scarlet :)

I got one of my German friends to pronounce "Ruby" from seeing it on paper and he said Robby?! Ugh!!

There's already a cousing Scarlett in our family with the same surname, so unfortunately we can't have that, but I love it!

I think we're deciding between Grace and Lily now.

I am having a grotty day. Was up from 2.30am til 5am with heartburn and indigestion , I never had it this bad with my first, anyone gone through the same? And then back up at 6.15. I now feel sick ND exhausted and have done all day. X

Omg i feel your pain!!! Been up since five.. If i could sleep sitting up I'd be ok but when
I lay down i get the worst heartburn it's awful, somehow it nearly made me sick earlier! It seems to be getting worse :(

I had a few nights 2 weeks ago where I was up most of the night/early morning with heartburn and indigestion. Then spent a week or so of snacking, not eating any proper meals, and had porridge for dinner a few times.

I've been eating more "normally" again the last few days (proper meals) and so far I'm ok but have had a bit of acid indigestion & very gassy :( lol

Looks like smaller meals and snacking (on fruit, bagels, wholemeal pitta etc) is the way is going to have to be to avoid issues.

I'm making home made pizza tomorrow evening though, really looking forward to it so hope I don't regret it!!

Onion and garlic exacerbate it as well apparently. I've brought a milkshake to bed so hopefully I'll sleep better tonight lol xxx

Glad I don't get heartburn (or haven't so far!)... it sounds horrible.
Apparently small regular eating is the way forward and no fatty greasy foods!
