*** February 2020 mummies ***

Wondering if I should visit the hospital I’ve only had 2 good movements in 2 hours when she’s an active one. Getting a little worried should I keep track for 2 more hours see if she gets active before I make the trip?

If you're ever worried, go in. I've been twice. At 28+5 & at 35. They would much rather you go in than sit at home worrying. Especially at this late stage.

They'll tell you what to do when you phone them though. They do usually tell you to go in.

@EskimoGem have you been discharged?

Yep late last night @Everdreamer :) we’re so happy to be home!
Mia has jaundice so had to have some blood tests to determine if lamp therapy was needed, but luckily it wasn’t and we were discharged around 9pm last night.

How is everyone getting on?

Glad you're home now. Keep us updated with how you're getting on.

I went for my scan today to see if still breech. Currently 36+2 & yep, still bum down. I'm booked in for an ECV on 6/7 & I'll be 37+5 then so we'll see if it works or not. I'm terrified to have it done though...

If it doesn't work then we discuss a C-Section.

Aww @EskimoGem huge congratulations on beautiful Mia - she just couldn’t wait to meet her mummy!! How are you both feeling? Settling into mummy life?

@Everdreamer what a little monkey you have. Lots of luck with getting her turned. Have you looked online at some things you can try at home to turn her?

My gorgeous girl will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I can’t believe how quickly time is going in. We have the health visitor out again tomorrow to check her jaundice and weigh her again. She was up to 5lb 4 last week. I think she’ll have had another gain with the amount she’s been feeding  she’s doing so well with breastfeeding considering how little she was/is. So proud of her. She’s completely slot into our life like she’s always been here!

I hope everyone is all well <3 xx

Fingers crossed that baby girl turns for you @Everdreamer ...hopefully she’ll turn on her own before the ECV you have booked!
If it’s any consolation, if you do end up having a section, the recovery isn’t too bad (I’ve found it’s not as bad as you’re warned about!) and it’ll be easier if it’s an elective section :)

Thank you @MrsS15 <3 we still can’t quite believe she’s here! So glad to hear that Audra is doing so well and that she’s slotted into your family so well...Mia is only 6 days old but it feels like she’s been here with us forever!

Broke up for maternity leave today & feeling rather emotional about it.

It’s a strange feeling isn’t it? Make the most of the time before baby arrives and get plenty of rest :)

It is. I'm ready though. Hardly sleeping at night at all so I'm looking forward to some afternoon naps before LO arrives

Geeeze to think we’re all so close to meeting our LO’s. What an exciting time for us gals!! I’m 37 weeks baby girls head down I’ve dropped a bit I’m getting more hip pain and little random shoots of lightning!! Yesterday had the hardest time passing a bowel movement I felt like I was passing a baby from there omg it was horrible the pain and sweating but feeling much better today!! Still having to do my hospital bag I’m not sure why I’m taking my time on this when there’s only 23days left till my due date!! How’s everyone feeling. @Everdreamer has your little one turned for you yet ??

Yep not long to go. Back at the hospital tomorrow for another scan & to be turned if needed. She still feels breech to me tbh.

The pain in my ribs has eased off though so I'm thinking she may have dropped. They won't try to turn if that's the case but we'll see.

I'm repacking baby's bag today incase anything happens tomorrow & I need it.

Had my ECV today. It isn't the nicest thing. Painful in some places.

Sadly baby's engaged bum down in my pelvis & just couldn't be turned. I'm booked in for a C-section on 18th Feb.

Sorry to LO didn’t turn for you but that’s exciting to know you’ll be meeting your LO soon on the 18th!!!! Good luck xx

How exciting that you’ll be meeting your little one on 18th Feb!
How are you feeling about the section? I know it isn’t what you wanted, but are you feeling more positive about it now?

Thank you ladies

I'm in so much pain today. Like every muscle in my stomach feels pulled or strained. I feel like I just want to spend the day in my PJs.

@EskimoGem I'm still feeling disappointed but I've got my head round it. They gave me the decision, vaginal birth was still offered but I was just not comfortable with the risks as she's my first.

As I suffer with health anxiety though & I have a phobia of anything medical, even having the blood pressure machine on makes me feel uneasy, it's just really not what I wanted. I hate hospitals...

Still, yes we have a date which is nice & there's every chance she might suprise us & come a bit earlier. I have my baby shower on Sunday which I'm looking forward to.

How are you all getting on?

How was your baby shower today @Everdreamer ?? I hope it was lovely for you <3

Me and Mia are getting on really well...Mia is over her jaundice now and is feeding much better, which means she’s finally putting on weight! Not quite back up to her birth weight but getting there :)
We’re going to register her tomorrow and make her official!

Hi ladies!

How are you all? Today is Audras due date. I can’t believe we’ve had her for over 5 weeks. She was 6lb 5oz the other day and doing brilliantly. She loves nothing more than skin and skin and lots of cuddles. She’s just a little gem!

How are you and baby Mia doing @EskimoGem ?

@Everdreamer you’ll have your baby in just a few days. So exciting!! How are you feeling about it all? I hope your anxiety isn’t too bad. Just keep focusing on the end result <3

@Bre hope you’re doing well and managed to pack your bag now

Here’s my beautiful girl yesterday and our little photo shoot..

@EskimoGem my shower went well. We had some lovely gifts. Mia's all registered now then? How exciting!

@MrsS15 5 weeks? That's flown by & how cute is she? Like a little doll.

I'm OK but so anxious about surgery. Health anxiety & C-sections aren't overly compatible but I'm trying not to get too stressed. It's all I can think about in the middle of the night though. I really hope I'm not the last one in for the op that day haha.

I've been getting horrible period pains on & off for the last week so just praying she stays put for a few more days.

@MrsS15 is she ever beautiful what a blessing... I am so happy for you to hear she’s doing great!! I’m doing great had my 38week appointment today. I’m 2cm dilated but no sweep like planned! Which I’m totally fine with <3 Finishing up my hospital bag today and tomorrow I’m really struggling getting it done.

Aww @MrsS15 Audra is absolutely beautiful! So glad to hear that she’s doing so well... it’s Mia’s due date today, it’s so strange to think she’s already been here over 3 weeks and she wasn’t due until today!

Also glad that you had a lovely baby shower @Everdreamer :) can completely understand why the c section is keeping you up at night with anxiety...if it helps at all, focus on how quick the actual procedure is and how soon you’ll meet your little one...with mine it was only 3 minutes from the procedure starting to Mia being born! And then you’re so distracted by the baby the rest is a blur :)

How exciting @Bre that you’re already 2cm dilated! Hopefully it won’t be long until baby is with you!
