my hv said today not to buy too much stuff, she said to just buy as you go along. People will give you stuff when LO comes and for xmas too. I reckon the sales is a good plan too! I've done the same, MiL wants to buy a gym playmat thing and i have a bouncy chair, i've got a couple of toys, lamaze too and a few bits people have given me.

Going to induction on friday cervix still closed xx

It could still happen naturally before friday hun! its a few days away everything crossed LO starts to make a move before then. Its happened here before, people go in naturally just before their induction date xxx

midwife said his head is engaged but his head is tilted so its not putting pressure on the cervix to allow it to start contracting, she was going to send me for a scan as she thought he had gone breech again xx

it's so frustrating, I was even annoyed that I was told I was 3/5ths engaged and then yesterday the midwife said she wasn't engaged at all. can't even begin to imagine your frustration xx

Omg a patient just got on the wrong end of my hormones!! Got asked to come in earlier again today as boss's girlfriend miscarried so was in hospital. I was double booked with a swelling and a check up, so I saw the swelling first. The check up patient got really shirty about it, I was only 15 mins late for her! She said she was going to be late for her doctors appt now. I was like why did you book 2 appointments so close together? And your dr is prob running more late than me anyway so you'll prob be seen!! She then started goin on about finding a new dentist,and i was like be my guest!! I don't need the stress! Then it was my turn to get shitty!! I said if you're not happy with the service here then by all means find another NHS dentist! I'm only a few minutes behind because I got double booked with a swelling, I'm very heavily pregnant, I'm going on maternity leave at the end of this week and I coul really do without this!! She soon shut up and backed off, but I was shaking at this point! Stupid woman! Nearly put me in.labour!!

Yeah she soon backed off when she saw me getting quite shitty back at her.. It must have had some effect as the girls on the desk said that's the nicest she's been when she went out to make another appointment for treatment!

klferrin, what a cow, I'm glad you stood up for yourself you don't need that. I hate rude people!

I haven't seen my MW since I was like 28wks, last time she did a home visit as I was really unwell and couldn't make her appointment the previous day. When she turned up at my house she was so angry to have to come visit me at home even though I live 5 minutes walk from the doctors and she drove, she had this attitude and rushed through everything. When she was trying to find the babies heartbeats she pushed so hard and wasn't even sure she'd found both just said 'not sure that's both of them but that'll do' she then said that I needed to get a blood test but said if I could get one with the hospital to 'not bother' booking another appointment with her. I'm high risk and meant to see someone on a fortnightly basis, luckily I can go to the hospital and see a consultant. She's so useless and she said since I first met her I'd have my babies in November via c-section which is completely wrong. Also every time I've tried calling her she turns her phone off

Anyway rant over, except for the fact my sciatica is back and sooo painful, sitting on the birthing ball but it's doing nothing

I feel so lucky I love my midwife, I also have a young student midwife who I'm a case holding client for... She's in her third year and comes to every appointment with me, I was so lucky that when I was in hospital she had some shifts on the same ward so spent lots of time looking after me, she isn't allowed to make any clinical decisions but is such a huge source of support and advice
