Good morning everyone. Congrats to mum2b! Wishing lilmiss loads of luck this morning too :) Wenchy- sounds like you got one busy day ahead, here's hoping it goes smoothly for you :)

After yesterday's really disappointing trip to the hospital, I've told dh that I don't want to go back in unless something really dramatic happens (lots of strong contractions, waters going, etc). Hearing that the sleepless night I had due to contaractions and bh was all for naught (and that we went backwards progress wise :/ ) has really got me down - there was so much pressure 'down there' I could barely walk, so assumed something was going on. I see the mw on Tuesday and she said she'll do a sweep if I'm not in labor yet, so got that to look forward to.
Sorry for being a Moaning Minnie today. Hope everyone has a great day.

I know the feeling, had BH yesterday every 15/20 mins, then they went. Back this morning for an hour so far but not regular. God knows what she's doing in there feels like her head is under my ribs :-/

Afternoon all!

Sorry I've not been on line for over a week but my daughter was born last Thursday morning and we've had a bit of a time of it so this is the first time I'm checking in. Not had a chance to read other posts but I hope everyone is coping well.

So My waters broke at 06.45 last wednesday, 6th august, I got checked over and sent home. We went in to hospital again at 10pm that night as I was finding it more difficult to cope with the contractions. They kept me in as I wasn't quite in established labour but was progressing quickly.

Our daughter Molly was born at 06.30 on thursday 7th August. Weighing 9lb 15oz! She came relatively quickly as I established labour at 02.00 and she was out at 06.30. Unfortunately they would only give me gas and air as by the time I was pleading for pethadine I was 8cm and they didn't want to cause baby any drowsiness. I was honestly begging! ha!

Unfortunately I had a big bleed and tear at delivery so had to go to theatre for some repair work and was kept in hospital. On the saturday night | need a few units of blood to bring my hb up. On the sunday we noticed baby had tongue tie so got that snipped and home sunday night!

Although it was quite a rough ride we got great support at hospital- especially with breastfeeding and I can't praise the care highly enough.

This week has been tough trying to get in sync with baby, she wouldn't sleep without being held so basically I don't sleep, but we bought a chicco next to me cot and last night she went down for half an hour- result!

Best get on, Molly is showing signs of nappy changing requirements!

We got home on sunday

Oh lordy! My brain must be swimming in hormones.... I managed to wash my flipping car key! Its dead!!!! Luckily the immobilizer part of the key is still living so I can open the car and providing I start the car quickly the alarm is disarmed and doesn't go off. But the remote locking part is dead :(

Why!! I honestly thought I could not start the car. I called volkswagen and the guy was all 'well it takes a week for a new key and you will have to get it moved here somehow to code the key' blah blah! How lucky it works but my word I need to think about what I am doing.... Its our only car and the only key! I will be getting a spare for sure now. I would have had to hitch a lift to hospital on the back of DH's motorbike!

Oh dear! At least you can get round it and not have to get a mobile key coder out (they are really expensive)!!

I feel so lucky. All I kept thinking was that I was going to have to get my mother to take me to the hospital and bring us back. Not what I wanted. Not only because I want it to be just us 3 but I hate upsetting people and causing upset. My MIL and FIL would be very upset it I got my mum and her husband involved and not them....

Phew! Silly silly woman!

My mum is the same! If we got Jon's parents to take us she would go mad!!! Even to drop us at the door she would hit the roof! Not worth the arguements x

Harspray - congratulations on the arrival of Molly. Sounds like an ordeal, but that you got good treatment, esp' discovering and treating the tongue tie. Hope you get hang of sleeping etc soon, Ethan sleeps on me for about 15 -30 mins (sometimes a lot longer) at night after a feed, he's actually on me now as colic has kicked in!!

Hope everyone is doing OK and babies are behaving / getting ready to arrive.

Saxelby - hope you get car sorted soon

Congratulations to all you ladies who've had your babies.

I've not been on for a while since I announced by little dudes birth, unfortunately I've had an infection in my c-sec wound for 4wks now, am on the 3rd lot of anti biotics & these make me feel really ill but are doing the trick. I've been having my wound dressed etc at drs or by the OH.

Hope everyone else is doing ok xxx
