Hmm not much going on now. Just constant low back pain. Nothing like what I have had so far in pregnancy. This is like a burning/tearing pain.

I have said to DH I will just see how I go and if I get worried just ring the L and D ward. If its nothing then its all fine, but I would rather be told I am over reacting and it be nothing than get caught out and have my baby at home!

I hear you! I am looking forward to giving birth with an epidural in a place where I won't be cleaning the mess lol. Seriously though, I also like knowing when we're in the hospital, we'll be looked after - a big load off our minds

DH can't even clean up when the dog is sick. Imagine a placenta! And what if I poo! Haha! Nurse please!!

I remember my waters going with my first. I was being induced and was so grateful I was in the hospital lol. The poor nurse changed my bed sheets about 5 times! Every time we thought it was over, there was another gush. That alone makes me want to hang out some where other than my living room lol.

Oh MrsM - I know what you mean. Had to see the gp today as my BP felt up. Gp looks at me and says 'you pregnant?' I reply 'yes, 40 weeks'. Gp raises an eyebrow and says ' shouldn't you be in labor or something?' Lol I told him someone forgot to tell lo about that part.

Hi all well just back from triage as hadn't felt bubs move for 24 hours - all ok after a shaky start with the heartbeat. But midwife wanted to get me scanned as I mentioned the community midwife had suspected baby might be breech 2 weeks ago (but them decided last week it wasn't) and turns out baby is breech! I'm 40 weeks today so glad I went in and found out as there can be problems if you don't know bubs is breech and go into natural labour. Discussed options but decided c- section safest so booked in for Wednesday! Excited but so so nervous now!

Best of luck to everyone and hope all those patiently waiting and due/overdue aren't waiting too much longer xx

Good luck hoping!

Well things seemed to slow down last night. DH got back later than expected due to a problem at work. He got in and I was cooking dinner. He looked confused and said he thought it would be straight to hospital when he got in. I managed to get on with dinner then we went to the farm to check on the pony. The drive down was so painful on my back and pelvis. Once we were there I managed to just stand around looking useless but I was happy to be out in the fresh air.

When we got back I went to bed with a heat pad on my back. I had BH until about 3 am and some of them were starting to smart a little. Then all of a sudden, nothing....

I woke up at 6am and since then cramp has gradually set back in. My bump is a really weird shape though. I have a big flat space between my boobs and the top of bump. The middle is clearly a bottom as it sticks right out and is firm, and then the bottom of my bump is a bit doughy. I think all of that yesterday was him engaging fully. He was 2/5 palpable on Thursday last week.

I am going to lay in the bath again this morning and see how the cramp feels. I am going to see my mum at work this morning for a chat and a cuppa (she works opposite my house and she is alone today). If things start to get painful I will call the DAU just to see if they will check me over.

Eep! Just remembered I have a S&S today. Hopefully it will get things going. Mw said she would give it a go, if I wanted, at this appointment now that I've gone over 40 weeks. If it doesn't work. I'll be seeing my consultant next week to talk about induction (really really want to avoid that). I have a feeling they're gonna want to book me in for one quickly though, as my gp had to up my BP meds yesterday. :-/

Me too.. I'm seeing consultant who will likely perform s&s hopefully followed by induction mid week should s&s be unsuccessful. No idea what to expect and v nervous, wish appt wasn't so late in the afternoon desperate to get it over with !

Thanks. I hope yours goes well too My BP is right at the borderline, but because I naturally have high BP (ok with meds usually) and I am feeling the effects of it, the dr wasn't thrilled.

Good luck for S and S ladies. My consultant said I could have one at 39 weeks if I wanted. I am not sure if I will or not. I haven't got an appointment to see the midwife now until next week on my due date. I will see how you all get on today. If it does the job I will call them

Well I think it's safe to say the S& S on Friday morning didn't work for me. Have another booked on Friday. Not really sure what the point ism feeling really deflated.
