*****August 2014 Mummies*****

We'll it worked! Pains ramped up from about 8.30pm and little Robyn Elizabeth made her entrance into the world at 1.11am this morning :)

40mins from 3cm to delivery so good job I planned a Homebirth! It went perfectly, could not have asked for anything better.

Mum2be and you other lovely ladies, hope your little ones come and say hi soon :) xxx

Wow congratulations! Beautiful name.

Congrats mikid!

Ft90- happy birthday! :)

Mum2b- good luck today!

I had some cocodemol (so?) before bed because my cramps and back were too achey. On the plus side, this meant that although I still had to get up a zillion times to wee (tmi), I was able to get back to sleep each time. Dh was great to morning, and only woke up me up twice to ask if I was ok (stayed in bed to till half ten lol). Mw appointment later today, we'll see how it goes. More discharge than normal this morning, but doesn't look like my plug at all. Not sure what to think :-/

No sweep today but baby is 3/5 engaged and pains look promising. Booked for sweep in two weeks. Hubby says he's gunna give it a go and do a sweep at home

ooh its all going on in here ladies! congrats to all the births! looking fwd to hearing about more august babies being born! i finish work tomorrow, i cant wait! xxx

Hi guys!
Thanks for all the well wishes for sweep this afternoon! Sadly im not feeling they r going to manage it :-/ Will update later!

Wenchy- so sorry Cai has aspirated and been poorly :-( U must have been petrified- I can only imagine! Great that he is all boob fed though! Reflux is horrible- Ethan had it, but only mild! Hope Cai's is manageable. U must be sooo tired hun *hugs*

HanSam- I can see how down u must be hun- this last bit really is a huge mountain to climb! Hope your bubs arrives soon so u can start to feel better!

Sprk- hope mw goes well! I had a lot of tightenings yesterday and more plug loss but not bloody show......never came to anything- highly frustrating!

Mrsm- great bubs has started engaging now! Lol- your hubby!

Nellybelly- hope your last day at work goes well tomorrow :-)

Mw went well. BP is great (if only it was this good when I'm not pregnant! Lol), measured at 41 (not surprised, scans all show she's a little big), and Baby is 2/5 engaged. She offered to do a sweep next week if I haven't gone yet. I said I would take her up other offer, as I'm desperate to avoid an induction. :)

Mum2b- already said it, but wanted to wish you luck again :)

Thanks hun! Great your appt went well!
I'm at the hospital waiting for hubby to meet me before we go to day unit!..... Wish I felt more positive! Will update in a bit xxx

Oooo it's so exciting all these babies going to be arriving soon. Wonder if any will share birthdays xxx

How did sweep go mum2b410?

Yea his reflux seems better when he is boob fed and he is now sleeping on his tummy (shhhh dont tell my HV ) lol

And yea, shattered. Its so hard to arrange to go out and do anything when he is feeding so much. We just have no routine at all but sure it will get easier.

xxx

Another failed sweep for me! I knew it though! Cevix is soft, 1cm and still back behind babies head. So booked for induction Thursday 8.30am! My bishops score isn't that favourable for induction either so its looking like a repeat performance of first time round :-/ Gotta keep focusing on him hopefully being here by the end of the week! Xx

Sorry to hear that mum2b. I've just come back from the hospital as the midwife sent me. She wasn't happy that I don't have much movement which I said is just me and where the placenta is. The movements I thought I had been having are Braxton Hicks. Anyway they put me on the monitor and all appears to be fine. 1 week till due date for me x

Mum2b - just think..at the end of the week you will have your lo in your arms. Never mind how it happens, it's gonna happen :)

Wenchy- sorry to hear cai hasn't been well, but glad you seem to have it figured out. I promise not to mention a word to the hv ;)

Afield - glad to hear things are alright. My first lo hardly ever moved around. She preferred to stretch instead lol

It def is all action here now. I think a few babies will be popping this week by sounds of things.

Mum2b so sorry that it wasn't a positive experience. Funny how our bodies are all so different isnt it. But at least your bubs is doing well and just too comfy in there. Fingers crossed induction kicks things off quickly. What happened with induction with Ethan hun? x

Sorry the sweep was a no go mum2b :( was hoping they would be able to do it this time.

Glad baby is ok afield :)

You secret is safe with me wench mine flipped when I said I will be sleeping baby in his side lol. Oh well

As for me I am a complete bag of nerves I'm shaking and everything. Even been sick several times today I am that scared. I've re packed my bags just incase I forgot something lol and going to have a long shower and try and sleep. Don't think that will happen tho. Hope induction works not fancying a c section but whatever happens as long as he makes it out ok I don't mind xxx

mum2b - So sorry to hear about another failed sweep! Just focus on the fact that your LO will be here soon no matter how he gets here!

Wenchy - hope Cai's reflux improves, great to hear BF is going well for you though!

Well I've had a great birthday today, meal was so lovely! Garlic flatbread with cheese, mushroom girasole, and honeycomb smash cheesecake for desert! Got some really nice presents and to top it off, Caleb went to sleep without any fuss (admittedly after being a nightmare as soon as he finished his lunch!)

I'm starting to get a bit freaked out actually thinking that as of tomorrow I'm in the single digits of days until I have my LO! It's going to be so strange having a child with a birthday ten days after mine forever and ever, but this is the time when it seems strangest, knowing I'm counting down these ten days! Just spoke to OH and he's having a serious freak out this evening. He's in the port at the moment so he's out for a few beers in Denmark to try and calm down a bit. I told him next time he's out for beers the baby will be born and that didn't really help matters!

HanSam- Ethan's induction almost failed. I had 3 pessaries over about 36 hours which didn't cause any dilation. Was booked for c section next morning, consented, prepped, nil by mouth etc. Then consultant came round and found I was 2cm so she said I should have an epidural, waters broken and the drip all at once pretty much. So I went with that. After 13 hours I eventually got to push and then Ethan's heart rate wouldn't recover with each contraction so I had the sudden rush of people in the room, feet in stirrups, forceps in and an episiotomy- he was born in about 3 huge pushes, bruised and battered but fine! ...... I had so many top ups on the epidural and then extra local anaesthetic for stitching up- I was incredibly numb and threw up twice after all the meds! All in all it was about 50 hours and although we were both fine I found it all v traumatic. I'm really hoping for it to be shorter and less traumatic this time. I know little man will b worth it but a more positive birth experience would really help me with the pnd situation.......but its all out of my control and will just have to deal with whatever happens!

Lilmiss- hope u get some sleep hun! Will b thinking of u tomorrow xx

Ft90- glad u had a good birthday :-)

Mum2be keeping everything crossed for you. You really went through it last time round!!! Will be thinking of you x

I'm 38 weeks today ! Have felt his head very low down this morning it's so weird but a good sign. Hopefully he's coming soon

How is everyone?
