Mum2b- sorry to hear the news. At least you know lo is ok. I hope you can avoid another induction, by if not..at least you know it will be over soon.

I've been having more irregular bh all day - some strong, some not, 10-15 mn apart and with period type camps too. Took some paracetamol too see if it calms things down. Not sure they are worth timing them, but dh keeps me to (I think he's petrified lol).

mummybear - aww reuben is lovely, I still really love it... I don't know why OH went off it, it really annoyed me actually because I had already thought of the baby as Reuben. I'm scared to get attached to the name Gideon now in case he goes off it although he was telling me last night how he loves it more and more every day as it grows on him so I think I'm safe. Plus my section is booked for two weeks time so he's not got time to think about it!

Saxelby - I never made a birth plan, mine was just to go with the flow which I think is the best way. I think a lot of ladies make really detailed ones and then something goes wrong and they panic because their whole plan goes out of the window, so I think what you've done is ideal, just noting down the things that you really need put across. That's what I would have done, I'm having another section this time though so no need.

mum2b - really feeling for you today, you must be so frustrated!! Still 6 days until your planned induction so crossing my fingers something happens for you before then!

Today is moving so slowly, Caleb has been an utter demon child, wet himself twice on purpose which he never does and is just being so whingy which he isn't usually, I'm going mental. Roll on bedtime!!!

Had awful back ache all night and really sharp period type pain, I want to meet her but not just yet, hubby is working this weekend and we need the money :-/ hopefully it's nothing

MrsM- I hope things settle down. Last night was awful overe here too

Had some fairly strong bh and period cramps last night. Went to bed to try and sleep it off, but it didn't work. Every time I fell asleep, I would wake up with more pains. I almost called the ward sometime between 4 and 5 am because I thought they were getting regular. Luckily I was able to doze off till 6 and then again till 9. Can't wait to see what today brings us all.

Mine have settled down now but I slept on the sofa for 2 hours which isn't like me from 9am after I got up

I've ended up with a major headache from the lack of sleep. It's even making my vision go a bit funny (BP is fine - I monitor it at home). Hopefully a bit of lunch, a nap, and some paracetamol will help out.

Sprk - thanks! Unfortunately he was up at 6:15 this morning which is not what I needed at all! A friend of mine from uni who I hadn't seen in a year came down for the afternoon and I had no energy or patience! He's just gone to bed so I'm going lay on the sofa with my kindle all evening! Hope you're feeling a bit better than this morning!

MrsM - glad things settled down for you. Let's hope it stays that way for a bit!

As for me, I'm so fed up today. Want this baby out ASAP! I wish OH was home so my section could have been on the 19th just to lose an extra few days! Ah well. It's my birthday on Tuesday so I'm looking forward to a nice lunch with my mum and caleb and hopefully a thorntons toffee cake... I did show my mum the one I wanted in ASDA!

Ft90 - sorry to hear about the early start.

I have less of a headache now, but otherwise still feel the same. Bh are still every 10-15 minutes and some cramps too. Every now and then I'll get one that is really strong and painful and I'll think 'finally! This is it lol' but then they die back down. Ugh. Lo is down very low (extremely obvious during the bh lol) which is making me leak wee (tmi sorry). I'm so frustrated! Ugh!!! That moan felt better lol

Just out of curiosity - i live about 30 min away from the hosp (40 if you include the time it takes to get in the car lol). How far apart would you let your contractions get before going in? I know the hospital would let me come in if I said they were 10 min apart, but I'd hate to go in just to be sent home because they weren't frequent enough. :-/

Could u just ring and ask their advice on this? U aren't close so don't want to get caught short- especially as its not your first! I think they like u to go a bit sooner than first time round- like every 7 mins or something?? X

You're right mum2b...they are the best people to ask. I'm a bit shy about calling (and need to just get over it lol) because whenever I call and say I have chronic high hp, low papp-a, and high bmi they have me come in for monitoring (happened twice now), just so I can get sent home. Like I said though...I just need to get over it lol. I hope your sweep goes well on Tuesday. If our lo hasn't appeared by then I'll be at the midwife on Tuesday too.

Thanks hun! .....I get your reluctance to call- but I guess they r the best people to tell u when u should come in? Even if it means just being checked so u know where u r at? If u go in and your 4-5cm then at least its established labour and if not u can come home again?.... U have been going with these braxtons quite a while now- be good to know where u stand! Whatever happens though I hope u can get some rest tonight or a baby in your arms by morning! Xx

I wish. Woke up again during middle of the night and didn't get back to sleep until about 7 :-\ I'm feeling very fed up. I called the ward and they said to wait until the bh are closer together because every now and then I seem to get an hour with nothing happening.

Slept awful last night, felt sick and uncomfortable. Eat something then end up on the loo 20mins later. Just so fed up ATM, in the house on my own all the time, even the dog don't wanna know me hubby is working which is great but I'm really lonely..... Only a week in to maternity leave

MrsM sorry you are feeling alone I know exacly how it is. I felt same with my first when I went on ml last time as it was winter I was scared to go outside incase I felt on ice and then we don't have any family around hire. Hope you feel better soon maybe arrange meeting with friend if the don't work?

Oh sprk- sorry hun Was quite excited this morning when u hadn't posted! Bet u r so fed up- me too!!
Crap nights sleep here as well- hunger, toilet trips and a killer cramp were to blame last night (can't even blame period pains or braxton hicks!!!)

Mrsm- it can get v lonely on mat leave when u r used to seeing people each day at work! Def try and meet up with someone or pick up a hobby to help pass the time? Last time round I sorted out loads of our photos into albums before Ethan arrived!

Magdalena- how is it going hun? Have u named your little man yet? Hope u r doing well xx

Hey ladies sorry your feeling a bit fed up. This last little bit does seem to drag out!! I'm starting to get the have u had any twinges calls and texts now. And as much as I hope this little one makes a early appearance reality says it will prob be the end of August.
I have a extra midwife appointment this week. As I have transferred areas to have the baby I now see two different lots of midwife as the original lot will be doing my home visits.
Off on a walk to my dads soon if the rain holds off. It's the other end of town so will call him if I can't go any further lol.
Hope there isn't too much wait for you all now xx
