*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Hi all.

Donnah, glad to hear Oliver is doing well, sorry to hear about all the blood tests and needles though, poor little man. Try not to get upset if you can help it, all done for the best reasons.

Lianne, glad the band is working, good bump. Must take a pic of mine before it's too late.

Mum2b, glad bubs is moving again, it's scary when they drop out of routine isn't it.

Two more days at work. Can't wait to leave, plus also don't think im gonna get so much as a leaving card as saw girl in my team who would have been most likely organiser today for last time. I'll be so upset if they haven't done anything after all the collections I've organised and contributed to over my 15 years there!

First of our nct class babies was born yesterday, it's getting close now!

Thanks all! Movements much better rest of day thank goodness!! It is v worrying when they go quiet! Hoping for no 2- must be so hard with no set pattern to go off! I find it an almost overwhelming responsibility at times being the only one who knows what bubs is doing!

Kaffee- I hope they do get u something! Would that girl come in at lunchtime on your last day maybe?
Only 30 odd days left now- eeek! Xx

Got big knickers and mini briefs in black from primark. Might have to get another pack of the big ones for afterwards. I hate the big ones but I have to admit they are comfy but I don't want to wear them really as they come up past my jeans lol

Just posted a bump pic in the bump thread. Not done one for 4 weeks and I've exploded outward a!!

Hey girls, mum2b it's scary when that happens I went to triage couple of weeks ago everything was fine but better to be safe glad they put ur mind at ease.
Hoping for no 2 I'm with u bubs still has not got a routine. Having an anterior placenta is so annoying I'm lucky if I feel 5 a day movements and I have to really concentrate.

I've had no bh yet so not sure if they will kick in? Just got back from Nct and I'm exhausted it's good fun but tiering! Im so ready now for bubs and still got 7 more weeks :/ xxx

Hi mum2be, No she's out in meetings rest of week. She treated me to lunch today to say bye, which was nice. We sometimes do post baby collections but that tends to be dads to be, rather than mums going off, but a card at least would be nice.

I've bought big knickers from primark. Got next size up from my usual 14-16, as thought they'd be too small with bump still loitering. OMG I just need some string and I've got parachutes, OH was horrified when I showed him. Might have to to back for some 14-16s.

God what a horrible night! My back and spd hit an all time high and now i think i have done something to my ab muscles where i am compensating!!! ARGH So much pain and now dd has me up watching peppa bloody pig!!!

Haha i know big knickers are massive but they were my god send after last birth. Just so nice to be comfy - but i couldnt even sit down properly until 3 weeks after so i was at home in pj bottoms for the most part so didnt bother me they came up to my belly haha.

KAffee hopefully she has already arranged something for you - would be quite harsh if they didnt.

EEEK GIRLS WERE HAVING BABIES NEXT MONTH!!!! WHOOP WHOOP x

Oh no HanSam! U sound so uncomfy!! Hope it eases off today :-/

Got consultant appt at 4.30 this afternoon- got to convince them to write in my notes I can use mlu if everything is going straight forward. Hopefully they won't have a problem with it- I'm not v good at being assertive!

Happy July all! Only one month to go!! I'm sure some of these babies will be early (not mine! Lol!) So before it all starts in the coming weeks I want to wish everyone all the very best for their labours and hopefully all bubbas will arrive safely and be healthy :-)

Make sure you try and be acertive mum2b - i am the same as you but will be worth it!! Hope all goes ok and they are happy for you to go to mlu.

Yup in a lot of pain today not helped with a toddler! No one to help out today and feel bad as OH had 2 days off the previous week as i was bed bound with back. Argh the joys of pregnancy. Looking forward to getting my body back together lol.

Exciting weeks coming up especially for those due early on. Can't wait to see all our august mummy labour threads pop up x

Hi all,
Managed to get a lot more done yesterday, sorted my bedroom out which was getting more like a storage room!! I'm getting in a routine of doing a bit of housework, then having a rest, then a bit more, then having a rest. Feeling like I'm getting huge now!! Cant imagine getting much bigger!! But know that I def will. Ahhh.
Both mine & Bradleys alarms failed this morning, so we had a 5 minute rush to get ready for school!! I could do with a nap now lol.

mum2b - Thanks hun. Ah perineal massage - I just can't seem to do it, I can hardly reach!! lol.
Movements are def changing at this point aren't they. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't stop moving and some days he's quite quiet. Glad you felt better after a chat, sounds like you got someone nice on the phone at the day unit, always helpful!! :)
BH are hurting!! lol. Getting them most days now, and catch my breath!
Lots of luck for your appt today!!

HanSam - Don't worry too much about the housework, concentrate on yourself right now. How are things feeling? Hey you enjoy resting and watching Peppa Pig!! :)

Hopingforno2 - I don't feel this baby has a pattern of movement either. Like I said, sometimes he doesn't stop moving, and sometimes I hardly feel him at all. Trying not to get stress about it tho, as you say, as long as I feel him at some points throughout the day you have to assume all is okay.
I know what you mean, I hated being pregnant last time and Im trying so hard not to moan too much in this one, as we went thru so much to get here! But it gets a bit much at times doesn't it.

Have a good day all,
Lianne x

OMG my back! Not sure I can carry on as normal much longer!

I am finishing work on the 17th and it can't come quick enough. I am in agony! I can't get comfy at night, then all day is aches then jabs of pain come and go. LO is kicking away well too which is not helping with the sleep business! Last night DH decided he wanted to come near me (he say's he feels weird about it then after 4 days he decides he doesn't mind again.... men!) and have some loving.... I had to tell him to stop after a few minutes, my back was just so painful and sciatica kicked in. I just felt like a huge lump laying there! Lol!!

This week is mad too, Got work 4 days, dinner at my MIL's tonight, my dad's Thursday (we are trying to be civil but I can see this going very wrong, we do not see eye to eye at all!) and then SIL's on Friday (still, no cooking which is nice for a change). All this after 6 days at work last week and a BBQ party at MIL's Sunday which went a bit wrong (Family and sick grandparents, all very sad and a bit much for all involved).

Just got to get through 3 days at work next week and 2 the following, then its maternity leave! Wahoo!!

Getting a bit nervy now. Baby time next month! Anyone else paranoid about their waters going in public?!?!

Yes Saxelby!! I never had my waters break until they did it with induction last time round but I am paranoid about it happening when I'm on my own in public or with Ethan on my own in public :-/ I think generally though they don't tend to go until during labour? I'm thinking more common for them to go at night too?? So trying not to overly worry!
You need to rest hun! No wonder your back is killing!! Mind u- I'm one to talk- stupidly did some weeding in the garden yesterday and definitely more pelvic pain since!! Its my own fault though :-/

Right- off to get ready for hospital appt! Xx

Hello girls, just checking in. Mum2b, meant to thank you so much for your words and support for all this time, you've been amazing. Hope little boy is moving about loads today.
My BH have gone crazy and yes I have to sometimes stop and catch my breath when they come. So umcomfy to sleep too... Pelvis pain :( hope appt goes ok today and be assertive hun :)

Cannot believe we are all getting so close to having our babies, it's July !!!!

Donnah glad all is ok with baby Oliver.

Happy lovely pics and glad the band is working for you.

Kaffee, I am sure they will do something for you at work. Bet you are excited about finishing up. So nice to not have to worry about work anymore . I have done my last shift and am so glad to be off now. Just in time as my tunic for the wards was so tight I could barely move in them, how can they be maternity ones I don't know!they gave me a funny shape too, hideous, glad not to have to wear them anymore (attached a pic)

Hansam, sounds like your spd is bad :( I only have mild PGP and that's bad enough. Because I have been so down , housework had gone to pot too, but one lovely lady friend who knows how much I am struggling has offered to come give me a hand with cleaning the house at the end of the week, so embarrassing I need help but at the same time I will take any offers !

Hoping for n2 and Keeptrying I can't say baby has a routine for movements either, she just is very active but moves when she wants :)

Officially mrsm , lovely big bump !

Sorry if I missed anyone, been very busy with kids being off school , the joys of summer hols

X

Hey all!

Appointment was quick but went well! It was the consultant himself today! They r happy for me to use mlu and have written so in my notes :-) Baby is head down but not engaged yet and all checks were fine! They have discharged me to midwife care now so no more hospital trips I hope until the birth!...... Got to talk to my midwife about what aftercare I can have in relation to PND- don't want to 'slip through the net' and get missed like I did last time when things started to go downhill!! So CBT tomorrow and midwife Friday- hope those appointments are as positive as today's!!

Mummy_midwife- no need to thank me hun! U were a fab support for me throughout my earlier issues and u still are! Being there for u in a very minimal way is the least I could do!
Lovely tunic ;-) Mine were just the same and basically I looked like a sack of spuds when I was on the wards during my pregnancy with Ethan!! .....They really aren't v flattering but hooray for finishing work!!
Glad a friend is helping u out with the cleaning- think we all have to accept offers of help when we can and not b so harsh on ourselves! Always easier in theory I know!

Not had many braxton hicks today but lots of baby movement so v reassuring! :-)

Aw glad your appt went well mum2b and that everyone is happy for midwifery led care from now on, good stuff baby is head down, he will prob not change from now on, which is really ideal :) also glad you are speaking out now about PND so things can hopefully be put in place. I hope both cbt and mw appt goes well too.

I hate the tunics, mainly because it was so umcomfortable and stretched , there was no room at the front , to the point I didn't have anywhere to put my pens in as the front pockets had no space lol but that's all behind me now, no more work !!!

Glad little boy is moving more today and no BH for you. I agree that we should accept offers of help when we are struggling although is hard to do so sometimes.

xxxx

Thanks hun!.... Since I posted the braxton hicks have returned! Lol! Not too bad though......Little man keeps shoving his bum up in my ribs which is quite uncomfortable at times but I guess he is seriously running out of room in there now! So can't blame him!
Our tunics were just bigger sizes- not maternity in any way! I managed to get a polo shirt off the linen room towards the end but they would only give me 1! So I had no choice but to wear the awful tunics too!..... But like u say- all done with now! :-)

The same, she keeps getting her bottom on my ribs , sore at times... Don't know how she can grow anymore as it must be very 'cozy' in there now ! My sij is soo painful right now can't get comfy, what to do? x

Evening ladies.

Sounds like tunics for you guys were a pain. I wont miss trying to find decent, cheap and comfy workwear, tempted to wear my jeans in to work tomorrow!

Bedroom carpet fitted today so only warbrode to rebuilt and were all set. Moved crib to its place in our room and also egg thermometer which is saying too hot when sun is on back of house and windows been open all day. Any tips on bring temp down a degree or two?

Second nct lady had her son yesterday he was a whopping 9lb8oz and she is skinny. He struggled coming out so bit shoulder diystochia (need to look it up) and labour ward full so her birth plan went out the windowl!

Upset today as had final managers weekly catch up call. Only my boss wished me luck, my fellow managers all stayed quiet and just put phone down at end of call. Girl I'm very close to said there was a card doing the rounds, I'd just thrown them by leaving 3days earlier than planned - come on guys you've known I was pregnant for months. Im never organising any more collections myself, this is the only thing I've had cause to be collected for in all my time there! Makes me realise not to waste my energy on work, it's only there to pay the bills.

Winge over!!

Sorry to hear we are all uncomfy. You could try bringing the temperature by putting a fan in that room? I'm thinking of doing this when our house gets the sun in the afternoon. Or get some thermal blackouts. They keep the room cool or hot when shit depending in the outside temperature.

I saw me today and she said baby measuring big and scan will tell us how big in a fortnight. She also said she can't believe I'm not stopping work until 38 weeks. I only work in an office I'm sure I can manage until then. Getting a but uncomfy in the evenings now on the sofa and in bed. Hoping it passes and is just little miss getting comfy

My left SIJ has been awful since I stupidly did gardening yesterday! I find getting hubby to rub it with the ball of his hand really firm helps! Could u get OH to try this mummy_midwife?

Kaffee- that's crap! So sorry your work colleagues have been so poor!...... Shoulder dystocia really scares me! Glad that they got baby out though- my friend had a 9lb 8oz one too and shoulder issue! Really scares me since my first was 9lb and often second ones are bigger :-/
Room temp is difficult- fan would b my only suggestion!

Mrsm- I am getting more and more uncomfy too. Might b ditching sofa for my gym ball soon! Hope your bubba isn't measuring too big at scan :-/
