*****August 2014 Mummies*****

V quiet in here! Be nice when there r a few more of us over in this tri! Hope u ladies r ok and enjoying the bank holiday weekend xxx

Hello Hello!

Well it seems Tri 3 is upon me! My community midwife seems to think I was 27 weeks on Friday but I'm sure I was 27 weeks yesterday, either way I'm definitely here now.

Hope you are all having a nice bank holiday, I'm working tonight but enjoying the day none the less.

Is anyone else struggling with breathing? My husband is being driven demented with my heavy breathing when I'm lying in bed, last night he nearly went into the spare room as I also have a cold so am doubly annoying according to him!

Looking forward to 28weeks as that's when I've said I can allow myself to start buying things.

PS thanks for continuing the thread through to Tri 3!

Hey hun! Welcome to tri 3!!
I am getting short of breath pretty easily these days- which frustrates me! At night my OH is worse than me with the breathing I think!! Ha! He hasn't mentioned me keeping him awake- except when I turn over (takes about half an hour! Lol!) Xx

Hi all,

We are moved in, it has been hectic as the builders are still working in the new place so we haven't had a bathroom and have been staying at my mums but hopefully they will finish it tomorrow. I have tomorrow off to get some more stuff straight but my feet have been killing me! We have a 2nd bedroom and a bigger kitchen and downstairs loo and it is much better all round for when bubs is here so we have made the right decision, just too tired to appreciate it at the moment but that will hopefully wear off in the next couple of days!

Tri 3 - wowzers! I haven't heard anything about the whooping cough vaccine? I called the midwife to change my 28 week appt on Wednesday as I am seeing the obstetrician on Friday and it is a new midwife who said I wouldn't need to see her anymore during the pregnancy as I will be seen by the hospital, so I guess that is it with the midwife. Got a growth scan on Friday too so good to see him again and see how he is doing.

Last week he was moving a lot more than this week and I was getting big movements and big kicks, this week I feel him but not as often or as hard, I think it might be because I have been so busy, it seems the more active I am the less active he is, does this make sense?

How is everyone, hope all are doing well? x

Evening ladies, hope you've had a good long weekend.

Donnah, my little man has been less kicky this weekend, like you we moved house on Friday. Absolutely knackering doing it while pregnant.

Pleased with new house, though corner sofa is way too big for new lounge so will need to get something new, despite it only being 18mths old! Nice to have bubs nursery in reality rather than visioning where he'd be. Just got to clear out boxes and dumped stuff from it into spare room and get it decorated!

Hi donnah! Welcome to tri 3! I want to move but I don't envy u girls doing it whilst preggers- must b absolutely knackering!

I guess u could ask about the whooping cough vaccine at the hospital donnah? .....Gonna have mine Wednesday and c midwife Friday! I've also got consultant appointment tomorrow so its a busy week of appointments for me!

Yes- my little man just the same- when I'm busy I don't notice as much movement than if I have a more sedentary day. They say the walking motion almost 'rocks' them to sleep (that's y they like rocking motion as newborns coz it reminds them of the womb!) And when I rest is when he is more active!!

Kaffee- great that u r happy with new house, but yeh, shame about sofa :-/

I've been doing a bit of cleaning and sorting and painting in Ethan's old nursery today..... Wiping down the changing unit I was thinking ' a new little man will be on here having his nappy changed in the not to distant future......I hope he doesn't poop up the wall like Ethan did!' Lol!!

U can both get sorting your nurseries now- yay! :-)

Hi girls! How r things today?..... I'm off to the hospital in a bit for review with consultant - haven't seen them since 17 weeks, feel a bit nervous!
Whooping cough jab tomorrow and then midwife appointment in Friday- busy week of appointments!! Xx

Hi ladies

Official join you in tri 3 today !!!!!

Hope everything went ok mum2b.

Kaffeeklatsch & donnah - I dnt envy u moving House whilst pregnant, I moved in with OH in dec but if u go my mums ur think I still lived there - my clothes & shoes etc all there - no point moving clothes as they dnt fit ATM ha ha.

Had first ante natal class today - tbh didn't really gain anything from it and no gong next weeks as got 28wk scan and consultant appt :)

Welcome Lanny :-)

Appointment went ok thanks hun! They said bubs was happy and all my checks were ok!

I'm not doing antenatal this time round- hope u get more out of it if u go again!

As I type baby is doing a dance in my tummy! Typical timing just as I get into bed! I miss lying on my tummy to sleep but I will miss this feeling too when he's here xxx

Two words - eggy burps (sorry), horrible, is this a pregnancy thing?!

Donnah - my mum gets eggy burps at least once a month - she deffo not pregnant lmfao she's 66 & my dad's been dead 16yrs and she's never had a date or anything n tht time ( shame).
I can't remember what she said causes them :-/.
But I have heard of them - sorry not much help lol x

Mum2b - glad all went well :).

Re : ante natal - as it's my first thought I'd g n see what they all about. Lol. - free cake & hot drinks is a bonus though :).

Urrgh eggy burps, sounds delightful. mind you, sone of my farts could strip paint at the moment.

Had a bit of a worry this morn as hadn't felt bubs move, was meant to be heading for Birmingham but lay in bed doing kick count after ringing maternity assessment unit. Thankfully he started moving and has been wiggling this eve. Must have just used up all my energy unpacking on weekend rather than giving him some to wiggle with!

Now got very painful groin instead of butt cheek, feel like been kicked in the foof. Seeing new midwife tomorrow for 28wk appt so will tell her about it then as hope it's not spd.

Sleep well and catch up tomorrow

Morning!

Not heard of the eggy burps! Delightful!! Lol!

Kaffee- its scary when u worry about them not moving, but sounds like u did exactly the right thing and pleased all is well!! Hope your mw appt goes well today- let us know how it goes!

Hoping my little boy behaves whilst I have my jab today- he's never seen anyone get an injection but he knows what one is from his pretend drs kit!!.... Its at 12 so I'm taking his lunch for him to munch on in the hope it will distract him and he'll behave!! Lol xx

One week yoday ladies and im coming imto tri 3 to stalk the lot of ya in here :D scary im becoming an emotional freak over every teeny thing ha glad to see you all look well!!! Xx

Hello everyone joining tri 3 today scary but excited:)
Great news you appointment whet well mum2b
Donnah eggy burps how delightful
Hope everyone doing good.

Midwife app next Tuesday 28 weeks and need to book my whooping cough vaccination .

Good luck with jab mum2b let us know how you feeling after. Hope Ethan is good for you:)

Hi Lottie and Magdalena! Welcome over! :-)

I am so annoyed!! They wouldn't give me the jab as I'm 27+6 and not 28 weeks! Its protocol apparently!! And whilst I'm pleased they r doing things properly its been a waste of an NHS appointment and a waste of my time!! Would have been helpful if the receptionist had told me coz I did say how far along I was! I read u could have it 27-36 weeks so thought it would b fine! Seems less than 24 hours before 28 weeks is too soon!.... Back I go Monday now! Grrr! Xx

Mum2be that's rubbish, sorry to fear you've got to go back. However you've just reminded me that I forgot to book jab after mammoth midwife appt (had to refill all forms as different ones in new trust!) I also forgot to take booklet on nhs birthing classes so can't book on them. Will work from home again Friday so I can pop back down.

Had my 2nd lazy daisy birthing class tonight more breathing and moves to help with labour, fell asleep in hypno birthing session at end!

Thanks Kaffee- I was pretty cheesed off! Mind u- everything was annoying me yesterday!!! Bloody hormones!

Sounds like u were starting from scratch with the new midwife yesterday- fun!!...... Classes sound like they are going well :-)

Can't believe I'm in tri 3 already. 2nd baby pregnancies really move along so quickly!

I haven't had them...but I think eggy burps have something to do with stomach acid rising in your tubes, ergh. Prob leads to heartburn too :/

Xx
