*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Morning all!

Thank u mummy_midwife- that's interesting to know! They never discussed it with me at all- I know they should have! My labour took so long they had plenty of time to talk to me about these things but didn't! I guess they all thought I'd end up with a c section and that's what most of them said to me after!!
I've heard of those lotus births! Don't they wrap the placenta up and keep it with the baby until the cord natural detaches?! ......Not for me really......OH struggled with the little bit of cord left going manky and coming off! Lol!

Well- that's me 37 weeks today! Can't believe I'm here after the earlier scares in tri 2!! Just the waiting game over the next 5 weeks now :-/ Really got to try hard not to fixate on when he's coming but that's so hard!!
Must remember to do a bump pic later! Xxx

Alan- I'm sure u won't b a gibbering wreck! U r well prepared and I think u will b a great support for your wife xx

Morning ladies and alan,

It is all go hard to keep up with this thread these days lol.

Mum2b i bet that swim was lovely i keep meaning to go as when im at aqua bumps the relief from the weightlessness is lovely.

Im discussing my "labour plan" with my mw at my next appt at 36 weeks. She asked this week if i had done my birth plan and i said no i will jot some bits down but i don't think writing an a4 sheet like i did last time after NCT classes was really worth it and was redundant. I think as long as birth partner knows the jist of what i want then we can just go with the flow.

Mummy midwife glad the chiro has helped im considering booking in again as can't wait for my usual monthly appt.

Miserable day here today so a lazy morning with my toddler! Haha who am i kidding x

Morning, had a bit more sleep last Night, Although pélvis still quite sore and hurts when I try moving position in bed.

Mum2b, congrats on 37 weeks :). Hope your coccyx is much better today. Yes the lotus birth the placenta is left attached until cord falls off. Not for me either, don't blame your OH for finding the bit of cord a bit difficult to handle :)

Alan I am sure you will be a great birth partner to the Mrs :)

Hansam, do book one, she was really good :)

Swim was lovely HanSam thanks! I am going to see how I go but probably keep going once a week for next couple of weeks if I can- great to get the weight off!
Weather here is not great either! Highs of 15 degrees today- actually feel like that's bliss! I'm so hot these days!

Mummy_midwife- coccyx still a bit sore but don't think its quite as bad thanks!

Bump pic done :-)

Xxx

Hi all,
Just got back from Bradley's sports day. Very proud of him. He won every race, except one [he fell over :oooo:] and got 2 gold medals, he was very chuffed with himself bless him!
I have my 34 week midwife appointment this afternoon, so will see how that goes!
Did anyone watch OBEM last night? I just can't seem to stop watching it even tho its making me super anxious!!

MummyMidwife - Im the same, I spent the majority of my labour with Bradley on the loo. I had a big clear out yesterday morning [sorry for TMI] along with some pains and did wonder 'Ooh..'

keeptrying - Glad all was well after your triage visit hun!

harspray - Oooh exciting that it could be anytime now!!!

mum2b - Happy 37 weeks lovely!!

Lianne x

Thanks hun!

Go Bradley! That's awesome- bet u felt so proud! X

Happy 37 fully cooked weeks mum2b.

Glad your chiro has helped mummy midwife.

Lovely sunny day here today, getting loads of washing down. Including shrinking OH's favourite merino wool jumper to the size of an 8 yr olds. He's not impressed, but did laugh out loud with me when I showed it to him - that'll teach him for putting wool jumpers in the wash basket in summer, I wasn't expecting it!

He's at home spending all day on the loo clearing out ready for labour.... the colonoscopy meds are having the desired effect. Wonder if I get to hold his hand tomorrow as they go probing, will be a role reversal of what's to come for me!

Been having a major clear out day and posted loads on ebay. Hope I manage to sell some things, will help re-buy stuff for bubs.

Hey happy I'm with u on one born just watched it on record and I do not know why I torture myself by watching it but just can't help myself!

Thanks hansam I need to buy some so comes in handy

Kaffee it will teach him lol u can use it for baby instead! Hope hubby's ok with colostomy xxx

Kaffee- oh dear re OH's jumper :-/ At least he laughed! Hope his colonoscopy goes ok tomorrow!

Keep trying- I watched OBEM this afternoon on record too! Always makes me well up when the babies r born- think its the music they play!..... I don't think its making me more anxious but its making me more impatient!! Don't want to wait 5 weeks for baby! Lol! Xx

I don't know how you guys are still watching obem, I used to love it till I was pregnant can't face it now, though will re-watch old series once bubs is here. You're much braver than me!

Hey lovelies, really don't know how you are watching OBEM, I couldn't bring myselft to do it last night, it does make me anxious which is nonsensical because that's what I do for a living, watch other women in labour and giving birth , so don't understand it, just know I can't watch it! In fact I am more nervous about labour this time than I have ever been before !

Nesting nesting nesting and more nesting - Chiro again first thing tomorrow morning, looking forward to it as I really noticed how much better I feel tonight, was able to clean a whole bathroom using a toothbrush, could not had done that at the beggining of the week with my pelvis so here is hoping I will feel even better after the next few sessions (hope so as they do cost some precious pennies).

Kaffee, here has been a lovely sunny day too , oh dear about the jumper lol wash it again and it may get to newborn size? Hope everything goes ok tomorrow for your hubby .

Happy, impressive for your Bradley to have won almost all of them:) I loved my kids sports day, it makes you feel so proud of them. But I am enjoying the fact they are now on hols and don't need to do the school runs anymore, happy days.

Keeptrying do you still feel sick? This week has been quite bad for me, back on regular meds after seeing GP yesterday

X

Think it might be the last obem that I watch I just kept thinking shit I actually have to do this soon there's only one way out! When it was earlier in the pregnancy it seemed so far away lol. Mummy midwife sickness has returned for me too :( I know how u feel Hun it's not nice. Feel like I've only had 5 weeks off from it! Atleast the meds will kick in for u. I am back on mine but only one a day as it's just bad in mornings ATM. Fun times! Xx

Yes, I had a good few weeks off but don't know why I am back here at this point :( mine is worse when I am in the car, back using my wrist bands... Sad that you are also feeling rubbish in the morning, but at least it isn't as bad as when we started!
Yes, early pregnancy labour seemed so far away I didn't mind watching it... Just can't now , where have my positivity and relaxed approach to labour gone ? Hope they return soon x

I just watched this weeks OBEM. I felt that they were probably the nicest 3 couples they have had together for a while. As always every birth seems scary and amazing.

Morning all!

Sorry u girls r suffering with the sickness again- it really isn't fair :-/ Hopefully its only for a couple of weeks now max! U have my sympathy as its the last thing u need!

OBEM - I did stop watching for a few weeks coz it made me anxious but seem to b ok with it now! Always makes me emotional- lol!

I've started having some sharp lower down pains and period cramps since yesterday evening and through most of the night and still there this morning! Not coming and going or anything just constant dull ache. Hoping it might be my body trying to do something to prepare- I know it can go on for weeks before labour though so I'm not holding my breath!
Anyone else all over the place with their mood?? I'm on a right rollercoaster at the moment! Barely can keep up- one minute I'm fine, next I annoyed, then sad, then ok, then angry etc etc! Been in tears already this morning and its only 7.30!! The joy of hormones!

What's everyone up to today? Xx

Morning :)

Wow it's all heating up in here huh!!
Just saw lil miss hopeful's seperate post.. Keeping fx'd for her!!

I've been avoiding pf as feeling really low but seems that's not too uncommon at this stage. PGP now unbareable and immobile most days. Off to Pizza Hut with OH's daughter today, first trip out this week so hoping I make it there and back !
Various other groans and niggles, everything feeling heavy and very crampy but have cramped throughout so don't think it's anything. Also count me in on the over-active bowels. Yuck. Sooo glad it's nearly the end :) :)

Keeptrying how u doing now hun after trip to triage? Glad all was ok :)
Mummy midwife watch u don't overdo it.. Easier than said than done I know! Hope chiro is giving you some relief, I really wouldn't wish PGP on my worst enemy it's truly awful.
100% with you on the mood swings mum2b. My poor OH. He's taking it so well!
Goodluck at 34wk appt today happy
Kaffee hope all goes ok with OH's colonoscopy

There's a few of you showing some real signs.. Wonder if we'll have anything kick off this weekend.. Exciting stuff!! Xxx

Awww Weezy- sorry u r feeling so rubbish and down. Its awful when u can't do anything due to pain! R u still working at all?..... Come and moan on here anytime- I'm on here at least twice a day with a sympathetic virtual ear! Lol! Hope u get to enjoy pizza hut! I've just bought us a pizza for tonight :-)
Been to the drs for prescription and then to pharmacy- both people I have spoken to have commented how low bump is! Def feel a change since yesterday.......not seeing mw til next Friday though so hoping there will have been some progress with his head getting engaged by then!

Keeling track of lil miss' thread- hoping all will b fine for her if Charlie does put in an appearance! She really has been through so much bless her!

Be exciting to see a few labour threads soon! The July mummies seem to have disappeared to Facebook I think?! Shame coz I love a good labour thread!! Xx

Morning everyone,
Sounds like things are hotting up in here, a lot of the July mummies had there's in the June maybe this heat is getting everyone going! X
Me on the other hand have had no Braxton hicks since Monday and baby is very high :( uncomfortable is an understatement!
He was so high up last night I had heart burn and was being sick all the time I have to be careful how much I'm eating as I literally can only fit tiny portions in my stomach! Feel like suck a moaner!!!
I'm also being constantly kicked down low the little monkey hoping I get through my bridesmaids duties ok tomorrow! Can't wait to get away for the weekend roll on 5pm!! Xx
On the up side I had the most amazing luxury pedicure yesterday really needed it and it has helped reduce my Cankles! Thinking I may go for a pregnancy massage next week when I get paid just to get some more relaxation!
I have found I've been so tired that the minute I sit on sofa I'm falling asleep anyone else had this I have done no housework for last 3 days and hubby even said to me before he left this morning are you gunna get some chores done today cheeky git! But I have git most of it done this morning as I really don't wanna come back to a pig stye of a house on Sunday xx
