*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Great idea! I'm looking forward to both a glass of wine and a rare steak and sleeping on my front.
I could list so much being able to walk and clean without being out of breath

I know mum2be wasnt my choice to go soft play, but with the rain and my friend living 45 mins away that was the only option. It was as bad as i imagined lol especially as it was a place we are unfamiliar with.

Keeptrying sorry to hear your really sick today - hope it eases up soon.
sprk hope physio helps out with your back. I didnt find physio helped that much but chiro it very helpful.

Wow mummymidwife you are crazy taking on another two but sounds like it may have worked in your favour with the snooze lol. Enjoy your mcds!

Ive tipped the 3stone mark which doesnt bother me too much but do have to keep an eye on bmi if i want to head for MLU. x

Hey mrsm! U have been busy again! Don't know how you're doing it?!

Sprk- hey hun! Don't worry about moaning- we all are in here I think! I've been having cramps and braxton hicks all day today and feel bubs has gone low down! Hard to know this can go on for weeks before the real thing but at least its the last bit now eh?! Hope physio goes well tomorrow and your last week or so at work goes quick! Xx

I don't know how either. So glad that the in laws had the dog I went with hubby to walk him tonight and had a proper waddle on. Think he might have to go stay with them in the next few weeks as hubby is working away again. Don't think I could cope walking him twice a day without being in agony :-( baby keeps going down when I walk and sending pain up in my back and in my hips

Well I treated Mrs C today, to an Indian buffet, How to Train your Dragon 2 at the cinema and then a few drinks with family in the pub.

I had my niece with me at buffet and cinema, kids are expensive it turns out.

Great idea keeptrying !

I'm looking forward to.....
Sleeping on my belly and being able to move in bed
Wine ! Red white rose I'm not fussy..
Walking like a human and not a penguin
Not running to wee every 10mins

I'll catch up properly tomorrow as today's been a long day just needed a pick me up before bed :)

Goodnight all xxx

Mum2b, thanks hun for making me feel better, at the end of the day the kids loved it, I didn't slave in the kitchen so wasn't exhausted at the end of the day so going to MDs was a good thing after all :) I had written loads on my lost post about the therapies, I will write it up again soon if that's ok , still fuming about loosing the post lol. I am really pleased your body seems to be getting ready to go !!!!!! You know where I am any time day or night , just give me a shout if anything happens or for anything else :)

Kaffee, I am so glad all went ok with your OH's tests, it must be such a relief... Now it's all behind you and you know what you are dealing with, I hope he feels better soon. Great news about epidural if you need one!

Sprk nice to hear from you, sorry you have been through a lot, please do moan when you need I have found everyone here so supportive ! So what are you going to do with work clothes? Surely they could let you wear leggings if that's what makes you comfy? BTW, love your name choice as my little girl is called Emily too :)

Keeptrying so sorry you have been so sick today, I know how it feels I do hope you feel better tomorrow hun, it's awful :(

Alan , sounds like you had a good time, can't wait to watch the film with my kids but the weather has been so nice I am leaving it for a rainy day... They are indeed expensive !

Hansam, you know it was the best thing having the extra kids, not once did I hear I am bored, where are we going today? or can we go here or there... They pretty much just played nicely together so I indeed had a stress free day, it was brilliant ! Are the midwives going to weigh you again to calculate a new BMI? Where I am we use the booking BMI to work out if advisable to birth in MLU.

Mrsm, hat off to you for all you are doing :) hope your OH is not too far away :)

I should be asleep but hubby and I ended up watching 2 movies and the time went really quickly... Better leave my phone alone now

So I'm up in the early hours again! Been to the loo then couldn't get comfy or drift off, then felt hungry and thirsty so been down to the kitchen and now back in bed!
Just seen mummy_midwife's post in the bump pics thread- seems that she has been blocked from posting in this thread or something?!! Dunno what's going on there but all seems strange!

Mrsm- I remember trying to just walk to the end of our road and back was enough for me at the end last time! It might b a good idea for him to stay with them and take one thing off your plate!

Alan- that was sweet of u! Did she enjoy it? And yes.....going out with one or more children is expensive!!

HanSam- don't think its fair if they r monitoring bmi this late! I hope u aren't blocked from using mlu coz of that! I've put on about the same and started with a bmi of 28- consultant has written in my notes I can use mlu! Guess its different coz they haven't tracked my weight?! Still seems unfair to me if u end up not being allowed :-(

Keep thinking in a few weeks I'll b up doing night feeds at this kind of time!! .....Guess I should have another go at getting back off now and make the most of the opportunity for now before the little man is here making demands for milk!! Xxx

Ive had probs posting here too?? Keeps saying it will be moderated ??? see if it works this time lol x

Oh it did lol

Did you get any sleep Mum2? I didnt get to sleep till after 2 and was up with LO at 6:30 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ If its not false labour, its restless legs.

But baby has dropped down even more and the fanny daggers are getting worse and still losing plug so can only hope its going to be soon x

Wow, mum2be you have reminded me we'll all be up for those night feeds soon! My little boy has decided that he's knocking 30 mins off his wake time so it's 6:30 now. Booo :( can't get hubby up as he has epilepsy & has had 2 big fits recently in bed which scared the hell out of me (he hadn't had any for 10 years so I've never seen one before)...so we're letting daddy sleep & rest. Its hard work because I now don't trust leaving him with the kids which is a shame. If I want a night out ever again, I'm going to have to get them trained to sleeping at their grandparents - which my little boy has never done yet! It's all ok on the cleaning front as I'm nesting big time. Never seen the house so spotless & organised :)

Was up so much in the night for a pee even though LO didn't wake all night! Typical. Hope everyone is ok today. I'm cleaning again & might walk to the park. I'm finding it ok to walk despite SPD & needing to pee constantly! It's far too hot though.

I put on 5 stone but have lost nearly 1 stone by just following slimming world in these last few weeks advised by MW. It's scary though how much work I've got to do (again) when baby is born, gaaah, plus my brothers wedding is beg of Oct & I do not want to look like a heffalump in a dress! xx

Hi guys!

Got back off for a bit- then awake around 6.45 due to Ethan! Been dozing since OH got up with him so have had a bit more sleep thanks! Sounds like u guys were up a fair bit too :-/ Hope u can catch up today somehow?

Wenchy- u do sound like u r getting closer! I've still had some more period cramps and generally feeling premenstrual but I don't think labour will be starting anytime soon!

Coco- it is scary seeing someone fit! That's such a shame it hasn't happened to him in all that time and now it has and has implications for u all? Is he gonna c his Dr? Wonder y its started up again? Was he going to drive u to hospital when u go into labour?
Brilliant on the weight loss! A stone off whilst still pregnant is fab!..... We can all lose the weight together afterwards hun! I'm gonna have a task on my hands too I know :-/

Alan- thank u for asking. The link u posted takes me to a blank thread though?? Def some strange goings on! Xx

Hi everyone

Wow there is so much going on here in August Mummies!!! I do try and keep up to date just not very good at posting. I can't believe how quickly time is going. I love hearing how you are all getting on.

We got most the nursery done this week which I can't stop looking at. So pleased with it just a few finishing touches to do. We are having a extension done at the moment too at the mo so wanted to get baby's room all done and organised as rest of the house isn't!!

Getting new aches everyday now!! Starting to feel a bit like a old women!! What with the need to pee all the time as well. Baby has been very active last day which is unusual for me as my placenta still blocks a lot. My tummy looked like it was doing a Mexican Wave most the day!!

Have changed my mind where to have baby too. There is a midwife led unit which is closer to us than where I should go but is under a different area. We visited this week and it's lovely. It seems a lot more personal and they have 2 pools instead of the 1 at the other.

Mum and SIL have arranged a shower for me this afternoon. I'm normally the organiser so it's nice to have not been involved for a change.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Just 2 weeks of work left for me now then all days will be the same xx

Alan- thank u for asking. The link u posted takes me to a blank thread though?? Def some strange goings on! Xx

It could be that only the person who posted can see in that part of the forum, the ask the moderators part. People might post private things in there sometimes I imagine.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could take a look at the August Mummies forum in tri 3. Some ladies are having trouble posting and getting strange messages.

http://www.pregnancyforum.co.uk/third-trimester/431668-august-2014-mummies-75.html

Thanks

Some ladies in tri 1 January mummies thread were getting the same messages yesterday, maybe a blip xx

Just wanted to say good morning to everyone. Hope it's a great weekend for us all :) I'm off to physio soon. Need to remember to keep an eye on the BP....hands felt puffy this morning and it was 137/91. Hopefully it will come down by the afternoon.

Alan - what a great night out!

I've woken up with the worst taste in my mouth and can not get rid!!
It's like I've spent the night licking metal. Had it a little in v early pregnancy, but this is gross..

Anyone else had this? Tips to get rid??

Mum2be - yes he should be getting an ECG soon & then see his epilepsy nurse. I'm wondering if it's the stress of another baby soon, lack of sleep or my cold he caught that's made him fit. Very scary especially when it sounds like he's choking to death! No he's not allowed to drive anyway as he has so many absence seizures & I live a 2 min walk from maternity unit so I will be walking. Hope I don't go into labour as c sec is booked!!

Weezy - not had a metal taste since tri 1?!

Hope everyone can post soon!! Xx

Hi afield! Good to hear from u! Def sounds like u r getting organised! Must b hard with the building work though- I think mrsm and keep trying r having work done on their houses too- v stressful but worth it in the end!

Alan- you're probably right there! But thanks again for messaging- sounds like its not just our thread and hopefully someone will sort it soon!

Weezy- sorry hun I don't have any suggestions! Sounds horrible! I've felt nauseaous the last couple of mornings- feels like tri 1 again in some ways! Hope it disappears as the day goes on for u!

Coco- good that your OH is getting seen! Must b hard for him too going so long being stable and then this :-/
