*****August 2014 Mummies*****

Morning all. Two weeks of work left for me after this one then 3 weeks annual leave to take me to almost due date, hope bubs doesn't come early, could do with the rest and prep time before he arrives.

Keep trying - just finished our nct classes. They were worth doing as I learnt some new stuff but a lot I already knew and most of the exercises seemed to rely on us all knowing stuff already rather than being told things like in school. Was just nice to meet other mums and dads to be, hopefully we'll stay in touch I set up a Facebook group for the ladies and we're using it already.

Nothing much to report pregnancy wise. Lots going on at home to get rooms ready for little one though!

Have a good day all x

Ive not bothered with classes (this is my 4th) and things have changed since i had my 1st, used to get 10 free classes at the antenatal clinic. I didnt even know with my 3rd that you had to pay for them or request them so by the time someone told me me it was too late.
Extra midwife app this morning due the increased severity of itching over past few days....also heartburn has gotten so much worse as well (didnt think it could possibly get any worse) I recall having the worst heartburn when i had OC...any relation?
Hoping the increased itching is just due to the hot weather, although tbh, if they do say I have OC and will get induced 3 weeks early I may just jump for joy lol

Morning guys,
I'm well and truly feeling the symptoms now; heavy, walking with a waddle, leg cramps, heartburn, acid reflux, public bone pain and last night I did something to my back, not sure if I pulled a muscle or had a trapped nerve but I couldn't even walk I was in agony. Its a little better this morning, I can put pressure on it but can't walk comfortably yet. Sigh! :) So, I'm resting today, hoping theres some decent daytime telly to keep me amused!
So, who watched OBEM last night? My favourite programme is turning me into a massive anxious, queasy mess lol. And tell me it wasn't just me feeling sick of the sight of that stunning, slim girl with her flawless skin, glossy hair, tight maxi dress and non existent bump!! Altho what a shock that hiding in that non existent bump was an 8lb11 baby!!! I've got no chance lol.

coco_cukoo - Yay at you finishing work hun!! You can join me with the daytime telly now lol. Aw bless your little man, I hope he feels better soon!!

wenchytoots - Good luck with your appointment today hun.

Thanks, got bloods done ok but had to pop to loo and give a urine sample and was bleeding when I wiped so back on bedrest and a waiting game to see if I have to be admitted...I just give up, I hate pregnancy!! :( No contractions but cramping and back pain.
oooo I watched it, so jealous of her lol Make up and tan is a distant memory for me and hair is usually scraped back in a messy ponytail...and my eyebrows look like hairy caterpillers. Im happy if I manange to brush my teeth and get dressed before 10am lol x

Yes I watched it. I cried loads about the story of the twins - I really thought there was gonna be bad news at the end for the smaller twin but when it was happy I cried more haha.

Rest up Happy, sounds like you need it! Daytime TV is crap. I've already tidied the whole house - just gotta actually clean it now. Also want to wash baby clothes soon but it's not sunny here today!

Hope all is ok wenchy! I'm the same, can't be arsed with looks now I'm off work. No need for make up any more, I can be a slob woohoo xx

Managed to have a meeting with my manager today and my trainee who is taking my job while I'm off. Thankfully I got a lot of things off my chest that have been holding up for ages. Feel so much better, been sooooo stressed just lately and the atmosphere has been awful. So glad it's over with. Got health visitor coming tomorrow :-/ not sure what to expect. Glad I managed to find time to clean the house due to decorating, would hate to think what she would think of it covered in sanding dust.

On a plus note the landlords builder came last night and has talked the landlord in to putting a stud wall up between the two upstairs bedrooms which had been knocked through to make one big room. Will be so much better with an official 3 bedroom house! And baby can have her own room rather than a partitioned bit of ours

Mrs m, sounds like you had a good day and session with work. Since I've moved to bingley I don't get a health visitor beforehand like you do with Leeds NHS. Good job as house is a state while we're doing work to get ready for bubs. Good news on your house.

Wenchytoots hope you're ok and it isn't oc, but then that would mean bubs coming early which sounds like you need.

Happy, hope you're more rested and feeling ok.

Half heartedly watching football at mo. World Cup widow at mo!

Hopefully she won't want to go up to the top floor, if she does I'm screwed as it's a tip as we are in the middle of sanding, stripping etc. I'm the same bloody fed up of the World Cup already!!!

Evening ladies,
Hope we are all good x
Had my whooping cough today and arms feeling abit funny :/
I feel abit crazy and obsessed but Also getting few twinges round my bump tonight and baby is feeling really low and heavy hoping it's just him getting comfy he is still moving so not to worried just hope he's not planning on making an appearance anytime just yet but had an odd feeling the last few days that it's not going to be long before he does :/ let's hope I'm wrong! Atleast not for another 4 weeks anyway! Xx

Hopefully catch up again soon! Take care everyone xxx

For those that haven't seen- Leesey had another little girl yesterday- good weight and doing well in NICU! Her journal has the details xxx

Aww so pleased for leesey - glad her lo is doing well.

Sounds like your having a good hol mum2b. I def understand the having extra help around it makes things a bit easier on us doesnt it.

MrsM it must be nice to have got things of your chest at work. Not long left for most of you still working.

Ive been laid up in bed for 2 days with severe back pain and spd. Luckily hubby has been able to take time off to look after daughter. Back up and moving around more today - i think this is how its going to be for the next 8/9 weeks :-( x

So glad to see Leesey is ok and her little one is doing well x
Mum2b sounds like your having lovely holiday :) xx
I haven't even discussed when I'm going on maternity yet though thinking it's going to be around 12th July as I'm getting abit big now starting to get in the way only problem with working in a small pub! Xx
Feeling abit better today still getting a lot of pressure very low down though but no more twinges today hoping it's just baby running out of room.
Still waiting to hear about my growth scan, I really want to know if it's all baby or wart that's making me over measure :/
My nurse asked me how far I was yesterday and her face dropped when I said 32 weeks she then said I'd have put you full term your bump is very big. Xx

Hi everyone,
Hope the sun in shining with you all :)

I've had a really rough week. Struggling in the heat, struggling with SPD, keep feeling dizzy, hands and feet swelling, emotions going absolutely crazy, work getting almost unmanageable with increasing expectations and workload due to restructure, OH being lazy and no help until I break down.. Just want to go and hide in the shade for a while!!

Sorry to rant, don't want to go into details and bring you all down with me.. Just had to get that out xx

Hope things improve for you soon Weezy. Wife has been much the same the same this week. x

Awwww weezy sorry to hear about your troubles. Summer babies are good for getting out when they're here and quick drying of clothes, but the final stages if pregnancy in the heat are no fun. Hope work aren't taking the P too much, stand your ground. We're going through restructure at mo, thankfully found out this morn that my team is staying same, so no job losses, weight off my mind. Roll on 2 weeks time so I can forget about it all. How long have you got left?

My latest woe is feeling like a need a pee constantly but then not being able to push any out when I get to the loo, so bubs must be squishing my bladder. It has resulted in me doing far too many trumps on the loo at work due to straining, which is then embarrassing when you have to emerge from cubicle in front of other ladies, the joys of pregnancy!

Good to hear you're having a nice hols mum2be and that you've got help on hand.

Thanks Alan.. Hugs to your mrs, it's absolutely crap !
7 weeks on Monday Kaffee.. 2 weeks before due date. The changes for me won't properly kick in until my return, but stressful thinking about how I will deal with it all and a baby. Then there's of course the ones who got off with no changes and still moan.. Shut up!!
My poor oh has as per taken the brunt of it, and although he keeps saying and doing all the wrong things I know his heart is in the right place.

Absolutely with you on the constant need to pee!! Movements becoming v uncomfortable and strange feeling, seeing limbs poking out just doesn't sit well with me feel like I'm having an alien baby!

Just read of Leesey's baby girl which has cheered me up slightly :)

Hugs to all xxx
