Cripes Leesey, c section next week. How exciting to meet your bubs soon though. How did they know your waters had been leaking?

They didn't!

I had an injury to bump about 5 weeks ago, but before that and since then I've had recurrent thrush which had been masking the fact I was leaking. I went into triage a week past Tuesday for reduced movement, and they thought they better get a scan to double check. The scan showed low fluid, as did the follow up scans. I had a few speculum exams and one showed obvious signs of both thrush and clear liquor, whereas the ones before that had been inconclusive. They decided to monitor me for infection and fluid loss, but yesterday the consultant surprised me by saying they decided the risk of infection outweighed the risk of breathing problems and didn't want me going past 34 weeks!

Baby is breech, previous section, so section was the immediate decision xx

Lovely photo weezy, its very clear. As you can imagine our little bundle of joy was basically facing the wrong way with his hands at his face most of the time. We eventually got passable photos and a video.

Yeah this is a one off under the circumstances, we usually do it all ourselves. Just stripping the bedroom walls was enough for me this time though, the ceiling needs stripping and re-papering too, so we had to call in the professionals as no way we could have done that.

Morning ladies how is everyone? Ive had the worst night so far...BH/contractions got to painful stage and 3 min apart, back pain, heart burn, restless legs, fanny daggers, intense left abdominal pain, shooting pains up inside me, pain like ive been kicked in the fanny, itching, hot flushes, aching down the inside of both legs, leaking and i keep having bowel movements, like 6/7 in last 2 days and headache. So exhausted from no sleep and bhink today is getting giving up as a wasted day and im not even getting dressed!! Hope your all having a better morning then me! x

Hey all,
Had a lovely relaxing day yesterday and was convinced he'd turned round as movements felt different, but Ive woke up this morning with the familiar feeling of a head in my ribs! But we shall see tomoro I guess.
Need to get some cleaning done today then go see my Dad later.
Happy 31 weeks to me!!

Contractions have stopped so just resting. I've not bothered to call the hospital, last time I was in for bleeding I was left alone in a freezing cold room for 7 hrs so would prefer to just wait it out at home and hope it all settles down. But just to top it off, more plug is coming out after having none come out for last 4/5 days. I had a lot of similar problems with my last pregnancy and baby was always fine. I was scanned on the 10th and baby is fine so just trying to ignore it and relax. I did have a look at my notes from the 10th and it says I had a neg amnioquick....they never did an amnioquick test. So not sure if I was meant to get one? Not too sure, but cancelled my plans for today and currentyly building towers with 1YO lol

On our way down to Cornwall

Wedding was lovely but I ached and walked like an old woman! Not sure what baby was doing yesterday but I was v uncomfortable :-/

Leesey- that must have been a shock! Really hope all goes well for u and baby is here safely next week! Best of luck hun!

Wenchtoots- sounds like you've a lot going on! Hope u can get more comfy and things settle down.

Im not too worried as I had a lot of pains and leaking and such in my last pregnancy and always went running to the hosp, so this time trying to take a more relaxed approach and ignore it, but im worried i ignore something I shouldn't lol. Cant sleep again, just got up for a wee and came downstairs and was sitting in the dining room and had a little gush of fluid...bladder was just emptied so cant just be wee, cant it? So frustrating. All the niggles and twinges seem to happen in the evening and worse at night for some reason. You would think I would be used to it with this being my 4th lol Oh well, lets see what rubbish is on tv at this of morning since im wide awake x

If not the hospital call the mw and ask her what she would do. Don't just ignore it, like you said it could be important x

Yes please dont ignore it. If I'd ignored the signs this time (even though I'd had them before in my last pregnancy) I'd never have found out I had low fluid and needed baby out soon. Just not worth the risk xx

Seems to have settled down again. My AFI was checked 6 days ago and was 12. I popped on a maternity pad and its just a little damp but it smells like semen even tho not had sex recently. MW can't do an internal this early, says it has to be done at hosp. Baby is active as normal and just the odd BH. If anything else happens today going to head in to the ward and get checked once BF is home from work. x

Wenchytoots- hope you get checked out ok today.

Had mw appt today growth measured a little below track than previous measurements so went in for growth scan. Bubs is measuring 37wks so definitely on the big side and nothing to worry about (apart from producing a whopper) he's deffo a boy so OHs theory that willy looked too big at 20wk scan and thinking it was umbilical cord is squashed.

Did loads of baby washing today as working from home, so sweet seeing baby grows on the line. Means I can wash the blue stuff rather than waiting till he's here to be sure!!

Happy hope scan goes well tonight and baby behaves. I'm off to nct breast feeding session would rather swap!!

Hey girls how r u all? Kaffee that's good about the growth just goes to show tape measurements are rubbish! Lesley that's scary that ul be meeting bubs this week but also very exciting! Happy how was ur scan? Weenchytoots how r u feeling now? I had my anti d today and was so fine lol I was crying and everything!! Didn't even feel it! Got my antenatal class start on weds looking forward to it. Happy Monday everyone xx

I've been and bought my hospital bag things today nice and cheap from primark. Feeling nervous I'm about to start the ten week countdown all is getti g so real now eeeek! I'm getting giddy and nervous. Have felt a lot more movements down below and tightening of my bump which stops me in my tracks when I'm walking.
